As a Releasing Analyst, you will coordinate implementation of engineering changes and releases in assigned areas.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Coordinates the implementation of engineering changes and releases by working within the various engineering, manufacturing and materials systems and controlling effectivity dates
Analyzes engineering changes, releases, drawing notices and tool orders to determine the impact on assigned product and manufacturing area
Coordinates the creation of product structure within the Engineering Data System (EDS)
Develops engineering drawing distribution criteria and updates Engineering Distribution Data System (EDDS)
Determines the window of opportunity for implementing NPI and engineering changes by evaluating the availability of both old and new material and necessary tooling and/or capital requirements in relationship with the demand from customers
Coordinates the accurate, timely procurement of material, coordination of manufacturing and assembly operations during the implementation of engineering releases and changes in the assigned areas
Develops and coordinates the actual date of effectivity for an engineering release or change by evaluating the effect of both the Executive Production Schedule (EPS) and Executive Attachment Schedule (EAS) and managing that information in the Engineering Manufacturing Change Control (EMCC) system within Manufacturing and Materials Management (MAMM).
Establishes and maintains close working relationships with personnel in operations, planning and design
Works with Material Planner to adjust material demand in order to exhaust old material and reduce scrap costs
Contacts operations management to obtain earlier promise dates and suggests other alternatives necessary to meet effective dates
Determines both internal and external distribution for engineering drawings with local design control. Provides authorization to Purchasing for new or reworked pattern and die equipment.
Checks and analyzes the daily progress of material, tooling and supporting paper work involved in engineering releases and changes to ensure their availability in accordance with established effective date
Assists and/or expedites the procurement of materials, machining and assembly of parts. Analyzes and resolves grief in the various systems. Coordinates priorities, reviews past due and pending report and compiles periodic reports for management.
Basic qualifications:
Previous experience in and knowledge of the various engineering, manufacturing and materials systems as well as the functions performed in planning, purchasing, manufacturing, assembly and engineering
Minimum 3 years of experience within Supply Chain
Requires an understanding of Engineering Records, Manufacturing Releasing, Materials Scheduling, and Engineering Manufacturing Change Control procedures.
Proficient in MS Office Suite, MAMM and Manufacturing Control System (MCS)
