The Accessories and Consumables Product Specialist will play a key role in supporting top-line growth of -80- product categories and continuous process improvements. The product segment consists of Machine Accessories and Consumables and Gas Equipment.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage product life cycle and product line simplification

  • utilize the ITW 80/20 Toolbox to drive effective product portfolio management for assigned accessories and consumables including Service Parts

  • make recommendations and coordinate all product lifecycle processes and communications

  • collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, other functional areas and suppliers on quality issues and sourcing initiatives

  • Manage product contents and set up

  • coordinate with Marketing team to optimize website pages, contents, images, product descriptions, recommendations and associations, mapping, etc.

  • develop or update product specifications, features, benefits and value propositions

  • create or update materials for training, product references such as learning modules, catalogs, owner's manual, charts and tables

  • support successful launch and commercialization of new products and replacement parts while maintaining current products

  • Support organic growth

  • assist in executing strategic initiatives with established long-range and annual plans in an efficient timely manner

  • represent category with internal team, channel partners and users through product knowledge, product support and training, tradeshows and customer visits

  • assist in performing market research and customer insights to understand trends, pricing, competitions and opportunities

  • Bachelor's degree required; Technical Support, Engineering Technology, Marketing

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a product-based, business to business environment

  • Must possess technical aptitude to understand industrial product capabilities and consumer needs

  • Attention to details, analytical and data-driven

  • Well organized, aggressive self-starter with willingness to learn and grow

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft applications

  • Demonstrated ability to present and facilitate in front of groups

  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment that values an entrepreneurial spirit

  • Must be a team player with positive attitude, high motivation

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Up to 20% travel required.
