Quality Engineer -Warewash Division - Troy, OH

Illinois Tool Works (ITW) is a Fortune 200 company that produces diversified products in global markets. Some of its products include welding equipment, automotive components, construction materials and commercial food equipment. The Food Equipment Group is one of seven ITW decentralized business segments. We are seeking a Quality Engineer (in office) for the Warewash Division in Troy, Ohio located 20 minutes north of the Dayton metropolitan area.

Warewash Division Description:

The Warewash Business Division produces Hobart, Stero and Somat branded commercial dishwashers, waste equipment and disposers used in hotels, retail, restaurants, cruise ships, schools, universities, and other environments. We are the industry leader and seeking to expand our growth in existing served markets as well as new markets. We are in need of a Quality Engineer to help support and grow the FEG Warewash business through improvements in design, processes, and procedures.

Summary:

As the Quality Engineer you will provide detailed quality planning for new product development projects to assure conformance of engineering and marketing specifications and quality management systems. This position supports product development initiatives while maintaining business unit goals and objectives. You will recommend improvements in designs, processes, and procedures to assure quality from development to production. Your responsibilities will include agency compliance, FMEA's (failure mode effect analysis) and DVP&R (design verification plan and report), and root cause analysis investigations.

What we are looking for:

- Quality control experience in a product development environment

- Agency compliance experience

- Product development experience working in manufacturing

- Fabrication experience

- Working with suppliers on product requirements.

- Root cause analysis and problem-solving skills

- Ability to execute projects within specified timelines

- Knowledge of product quality improvement processes

- An individual to support the Quality Management System

- Must be detailed oriented

Education and experience:

- BS Degree in Quality, Engineering or Operations Management

- 3-5 years of quality engineering experience

- Requires effective written, verbal and presentation skills

- MS Office application proficiency

- Excel proficiency in data analysis
