The Role at a glance:
The Director of Event Sales at Abigail Kirsch at Twenty Three Grand is responsible for driving all event and private dining revenue within the property, while working in partnership with the administrative, service, and culinary teams. A primary focus will be placed on meeting individual sales and department quotas, through effective outreach and relationship building within social and corporate markets. The Director of Event Sales provides clear direction, oversees and leads the daily activities and strategic efforts of the events team, ensuring smooth event operations and client satisfaction. Must demonstrate leadership, creativity, integrity, and resourcefulness.
Compensation: 100,000 plus commission
What you'll be doing:
Sales:
1.Identify and analyze client preferences to pro-actively research, prospect, and direct sales efforts for new business.
2.Consult with potential clients to understand their needs. Manage leads, site visits, and on-site presentations for all types of events, including social, corporate business, and not-for-profit.
3.Identify and make suggestions as appropriate throughout the sales process.
4.Develop, generate, and manage all proposals, contracts, etc. to maximize sales potential and book business effectively.
5.Effectively achieve sales quotas, while simultaneously negotiating, securing both the business and maximizing profits.
6.Organize and execute focused sales efforts based on plan constructed with the Food & Beverage Director's input and approval.
What we're looking for:
Must-haves:
5 + years catering and/or restaurant sales experience in a quality establishment.
-Prior event experience preferred.
-Degree in business or related field preferred.
-Knowledge of PCI compliance preferred.
-Proficiency in Tripleseat preferred.
-Ability to handle multiple tasks and work effectively, independently, andefficiently with time constraints.
-Must be creative, innovative, and proactive.
-Must be detail oriented and perform work accurately and timely.
-Proficient computer skills necessary including Microsoft Office.
-Financial management cost controls, food and labor cost management experiencerequired.
-Ability to effectively, professionally, and respectfully communicate with co-workers, supervisors, vendors, and clients.
