Job Description:
This is an Associate Accounting position responsible for indirect accounting transactions, including Ariba, indirect intercompany billings, and freight processing. The role will be responsible for transactional accounting function and processes while supporting analytics related to month-end close. This role will work under the direction of the accounting lead to appropriately process indirect related transactions, including the up-front initiation, coding of expenses, and then proper processing of transactions after the invoice has been received from the vendor.
Essential Functions:
Monitor Ariba indirect PO coding to ensure expenses are charged to the appropriate department while following both division and corporate policies and procedures.
Process all invoices received for non-purchase order based procurements, including entry of the data into Ariba and working with the buyers and owners of the work for proper authorization, approval, and use of the non-purchase order procurement process.
Review monthly intercompany charges from corporate to determine proper coding to the appropriate expense and department within the ERP financials.
Determine proper expense charging for freight invoices, working with operations and the freight vendor to ensure freight is charged to the proper cost objective
Support additional accounting tasks as needed.
No clearance needed
Travel will be up to 10% on an as needed basis, no routine travel expected.
This is a 40 hour week job but will require additional hours during heavy transactional periods and/or during the month-end closes
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent years experience.
Demonstrated use of strong mathematical skills
Demonstrated proficiencyin Excel
Preferred Additional Skills:
Knowledge of Costpoint is preferred
Strong communication skills across varying functional groups
