The Hobart Warewash Division of the Food Equipment Group is seeking a Quality Tester for its Troy, Ohio manufacturing plant, located 20 minutes north of the Dayton metropolitan area. The Troy Plant Warewash Business Unit produces Hobart brand energy efficient commercial dishwashers that are used in hotels, casinos, restaurants, cruise ships, schools, universities and retail establishments. As the industry leader, Warewash is seeking to expand growth in existing served markets as well as new markets.
Reporting to the Quality Supervisor, the Quality Tester will be responsible for performing a variety of testing procedures on commercial food equipment.
The Quality Tester is responsible for safely testing and related activities on the Hobart Warewash commercial dishwasher to meet exacting operational performance. The work varies from day to day and requires a flexible approach.
Have an understanding of electricity, especially high voltage
Perform test functions including digital controls
Utilize measuring devices such as hi-pot tester, continuity tester, and power analyzers
Test and check electrical circuits ground wattage, leakage
Wear proper protective equipment including arc flash
Work from customer orders, written procedures, prints, specifications, electrical diagrams (schematics), work orders, process sheets, written and verbal instructions to make complete operating tests
Follow safety procedures and processes
Maintain records of test results and data collection
Work independently and within a collaborative team environment
Effective interpersonal communicate with all levels of the business
High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience
Excellent Attendance and work overtime as scheduled to meet customer expectations
Must wear all necessary Arc Flash PPE when testing
Previous experience testing or working with electricity, especially with high voltage
Basic proficiency in use of measuring devices
Demonstrate basic proficiency in reading and understanding prints, specifications, electrical diagrams (schematics), work orders, process sheets to perform testing sequence
Familiar with Microsoft Office Products
Periods of working in hot/cold manufacturing environment
Prolonged periods of standing and sitting
