THE ROLE : The Quality Management Systems Manager will be responsible for the creation, implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of Quality Management System (QMS) processes and systems. In this role, the incumbent will also be responsible for the creation, implementation and maintenance of process audits. Defines, develops and deploys long term strategies to achieve world class systems and best in Quality products and services
Drives systemic improvements across operation an quality metrics through standardization and best practices
Implement an overall shared electronic system with an integrated document repository, training skills matrices, risk assessment tools, and lessons learned applications.
Define and propose business process performance and quality metrics for all levels of operations
Coordinate, organize, and maintain internal and external audit schedules for the QMS.
Train and coordinate internal auditors
Assist with conducting quality audits, identifying, documenting, and providing solutions for Non-Conformances (NCR's) Corrective Actions (CAR's) & Preventive Actions (PAR's)
ASQ certification a plus
Additional duties and responsibilities may be required based on organization needs
QUALIFICATIONS :
Four-year college degree, technical degree preferred, advanced degree a plus
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality system role with In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 or IATF 16949:2016. Accreditation as auditor / lead auditor in each standard preferred
Ability to travel both domestically and internationally (approximately 50%)
Self-starter who can work with minimal direction, as well as direct the work of others
Extensive knowledge in building Quality Management Systems
Ability to build and maintain effective work relationships both internally and externally (customers, suppliers, internal functions)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Able to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences
Skilled at prioritizing and multi-tasking
Ability to remain true to the purpose of the audit without fear or favor
Demonstrate strong communication, influencing, and change management skills while consistently making timely decisions even in the face of complexity
Maintain safety and quality mindset while demonstrating Xylem values
DAY IN THE LIFE :
In this role, the working environment is office based. In addition, this role will require travel both domestically and internationally approximately 50% of the time.
