Overview

Audacy's 2400Sports Network is looking for a Senior Director of Podcast Operations and Partnerships.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

2400 Brand Strategy -

  • Work brand vision and capabilities into discussions and presentation with business development, content partnerships prospect and advertising clients

Partnership Relations -

  • Participate in all non-production discussions with the MLB League and all 30 of its teams to ensure a collaborative relationship, financial growth, audience development, and a positive long-term partnership

  • Along with Audacy Sports leadership, explore additional content partnerships

  • Present partners' sponsorship opportunities to larger sales team

  • Act as connective tissue between sales and partners to execute on sold sponsorship elements

Business Development -

  • Help develop strategic vision for partnerships, content ideas, and the why Audacy & 2400 Sports story for each individual stake-holder

Internal Development -

  • For each project, lead the development of impactful and succinct go-to-market strategy plans - navigating national & local internal stakeholders to maximize Audacy's capabilities on behalf of 2400Sports

  • Influence key executives and partners to support the path to goal for each show at 2400 and additional sports podcasts at Audacy

  • Sponsorship capabilities

  • Sponsorship Packaging

  • Identify internal elements within the digital/sports landscape that this show should be packaged with to maximize exposure and revenue

  • Planning

  • Work with digital/podcast planning teams to create cohesive offerings with approved margins

  • Work with EP to drive planning projects and processes by developing annual strategic plans to grow the business

  • Internal Onboarding

  • Work with each identified stakeholder to get each show into the system from a finance, vetting, and execution standpoint

  • Work with ad-ops to get shows setup into megaphone

Sales Push -

  • Serve as the 2400Sports liaison and driving force for all national and local sales-efforts and partner leads, looping in internal sales partners when appropriate

  • Establish Annual/Project Target Revenue

  • Work with EP to establish P&L for each project that aligns with established production margins

  • Establish sponsorship revenue goals in partnership with the revenue operations and finance teams

  • Recurring analysis of macro 2400Sports annual goals and correspond project and sponsorship pipeline

  • Present/update sales on the regular basis

  • Work with sales-leadership to create client target lists - follow up with sales proactively

  • Attend meetings as needed

  • Provide recurring updates & results including finance, vetting, and delivery

  • Work closely with strategy, planning, and sales teams to cover all elements of the got-to-market push

Execution -

  • Work/oversee internal traffic, show-vetting, analytics, and 3rd party research to ensure a flawless campaign execution experience

Management/Growth -

  • Work with Executive Producer to hire and manage strategic non-production team members as needed.

Sales Narrative & Strategy -

  • Along with 2400 offerings - also represent the sports content vertical (including content from AUD Audience Network, C13, and PSS) from a sales strategy and partner POV in order to support the sales narrative of the national sales team.

Qualifications

More About You:

Required and Preferred:

  • 8+ years of media experience

  • Direct consulting and/or internal strategy experience (preferably within media industry)

  • Direct advertising strategy experience within the media industry

  • Strategic problem solver with the ability to transform goals into meaningful plans

  • Experienced in implementing strategic and large-scale initiatives in a fast-paced environment

  • Enjoy getting into the details and solving complex problems

  • Extensive experience building sophisticated, multi-year business plan models

  • Demonstrated success managing P&L's

  • Knack for coordinating multiple teams towards achieving a common goal

  • Maintain balance between attention to detail and swift execution

  • You are an excellent communicator whom is able to network and develop deep relationships across the organization
