The Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Understand U.S. import and export regulatory requirements, Caterpillar policies, business processes and associated risk
Retrieve and validate data from disparate system and data sources and transform data into actionable insights to reduce costs and improve utilization, performance, quality and velocity of materials.
Work with internal and external stakeholders to support cross boarder movements, reduce delays and maintain compliance
Lead root cause corrective action plans to improve provider performance and mitigate risk
Support machine import revenue recognition processes, ensuring timely and correct processing, executing deviation investigation and correction
Assist with routed export process execution, including legal authorization support, and customer inquiry response
Support post import and post export audit processes including continuous improvement initiatives, performing daily, week and monthly audits
Report and review audit results with Caterpillar business partners including brokers, forwarders and internal stakeholders
Review import/export transactions for compliance with Caterpillar policies and regulatory compliance
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 1+ year(s) of job experience in import / export trade compliance
In lieu of a degree, 4+ years of job experience in import/export trade compliance
Top Candidates will also have:
Strong MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Access skills
Complex problem solving skills
Basic awareness of US Import and Export regulatory requirements
Familiarity with Business Objects reporting & Power BI
Licensed Customs Broker, Certified Customs Specialist, Certified Export Specialist or other trade related license or certification

This position does not offer relocation and is located in Peoria, IL
