This position supports PAT (Profitability Analysis Tool) reporting for the Large Power Systems Division including both Accountable Reporting Tool (ART) and OAT (OPACC Analysis Tool). ART reporting includes a full P&L and OPACC view by region and model. This ties to accountable business unit and/or product group results. ART is the starting point for OAT. OAT adds in parts PV and adjustments around sales variance and warranty to obtain operational OPACC at a platform/model level. Parts PV is the expected parts related sales related to that model/platform included for the OAT view. In this role, you will work with accounting and product contacts across the division to understand and report on accountable and OPACC results by product platform on a quarterly and annual basis. In alignment with our Leadership Attributes and Global Finance Strategy, this position has heavy involvement in continuous improvement projects, leveraging digital capabilities, deploying lean principles and displaying intellectual curiosity.
What You Will Do:
Provides timely and accurate financial record keeping and reporting as directed by management
Maintain financial records in accordance with GAAP and organizational standards
Create reports on financial performance for internal and external use
Create and utilize automated tools for the updating, analyzing and reporting of consolidated financial results
What You Have:
Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and 6+ years of accounting experience
Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision
Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors
