Summary You will serve as a Materials Handler with NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR SAN DIEGO. Responsibilities You will unload incoming shipments, scan bar codes or key receipt information into automated record system. You will count and annotate types and quantities of items and appropriately sign receiving documents as well as annotate changes on Bill of Lading as necessary. You will utilize safe practices/procedures and comply with established safety rules and regulations. You will perform clean-up duties, such as cleaning and dusting bins, cutting box tops and transporting empty boxes to recycle bins, sweeping, straightening, and lining up property in the assigned area. You will adhere to safety and security procedures and regulations and promptly report any observed or identified violations in accordance with established guidelines. You will identify inadequacies in work products or services and coordinate corrective action. You will operate fork lift trucks, pallet jacks, and dollies to move, stack and unstack, load and unload, bin, and position material. You will drive one or more types of trucks, such as pickup, panel, and flatbed trucks, which typically have a gross vehicle weight of 10,000 pounds or less, on public roads at highway speeds. You will operate vehicles in accordance with established procedures and laws and adhere to maintenance and inspection schedules.
