We believe the right gift can inspire more caring in the world.What your role entails and how you'll contributeAs aDesigneron theGifts Team,you will leverage your highly-conceptual creative abilities to designs and concepts for a wide range of Hallmark projects and formats at any given time, gathering and applying consumer insights and trends and demonstrating a high level of brand expertise, proficiency in craft, productivity, creativity, initiative, and collaboration. You will employ a range of styles to deliver innovative and successful design solutions and will actively partner with studio managers, art directors, and peers in creating and maintaining a productive, engaged, flexible, and resilient creative cutlure.You will have the opportunity to train and mentor junior designers and collaborate with cross-category partners with a shared goal of serving consumer needs as aligned with strategy. You will also have the opportunity for growth, as you proactively seek out take advantage of development opportunities and feedback from peers, leaders, and partners.BASIC QUALIFICATIONSThe following is required to be considered for this role:Bachelor's Degree OR 4 years of professional work experienceExperience in a creative visual arts field, such as Illustration, 3D Design, Multimedia, or Graphic Design5 years of design or product development experienceExperience using Adobe Creative Cloud (ie: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSYour resume and portfolio will stand out if you have:10+ years of designer or product development experienceThe preferred candidate for this role will have experience as a senior designer and aspirations for future creative leadership rolesCreative leadership experience (such as Associate/Art Director, Lead Designer, Project Manager, Team Lead, etc.)Ability to design against licensor style guides and/or craft a new direction for a unique offering from Hallmark with the help of Visual Studios artists, combining Trends POVs, color palette, style direction, and mood board inspiration for format executionAcreative portfoliothat demonstrates:Strong conceptual thinking and ideation skills, shown through concept exploration, sketchbook imagery, etc.Strong aesthetic judgement and strong use of trends, color, and foundational design principlesHigh level of craftsmanship, grounded in brand and consumer understanding as well as category objectives and commercialization strategiesExperience designing a range of consumer products of various formats and complexitiesExperience designing product lines/collections, as well as stand-alone SKUsExperience with 3D modeling and rendering software and concept creation is a plusIs a constant learner and challenges themselves to keep evolving their creative contributionsDemonstrates strong communication, visionary and strategic skills.
