Job Description:
Caterpillar is hiring Warehouse Associates to help build a better world!
As a Warehouse Associate at Caterpillar, you will perform a variety of functions to check, receive, and verify accuracy of part locations and quantities. In addition to counting parts and filling orders, you will conduct first line, basic quality assessment of parts for damage and defects.
Five Day Schedules:
Starting Pay: $16.80 per hour

Minimum Requirements:
Must have displayed pattern of staying in jobs for at least 1 year
At least six months of experience on Cherry Picker, Reach Truck and/or Standing Forklift within the last two years
Good communication skills and strong commitment to safety and teamwork (can be measured throughout pre-employment process)
Willingness to operate heavy equipment and power tools with proper training
Displays responsibility towards employers in regards to attendance and production metrics (with applicable experience)
Ability to read/write and interpret documents
Ability to perform a variety of clerical functions and do basic math
Ability to follow verbal and written instruction (can be measured throughout pre-employment process)
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
Experience using computers with multiple sign-ins.
Strong safety record pertaining to previous equipment experience
Experience training others on heavy equipment
Ability to read/write and interpret documents
Ability to perform a variety of clerical functions and do basic math
Good communication skills and strong commitment to safety and teamwork
All eligible candidates MUST pass the following pre-employment screenings before they can be hired to Caterpillar:
Background Screening
Drug Screening (including marijuana)
Post-Offer Medical Questionnaire (clearance from Corporate Medical)
Display ability to follow written and verbal instructions during pre-hire process
Job Duties/Responsibilities May Include, But Are Not Limited to:
Safely perform the material handling and warehousing functions required in the receiving, processing, storing, moving, packing, and shipping of parts, materials, equipment, and supplies.
Operates handheld scanner to access and update information for receiving, counting and order processing.
Performs housekeeping functions as required
Will be required to use heavy equipment, reach trucks, sit-down forklifts, and overhead cranes/hoists
Report defects and need for repairs.
Will be required to use pneumatic tools and/or power tools to crate products and prep them for shipment
Build and construct wooden shipping containers
Utilize tools for the application of paint and rust preventative
Adherence to attendance policies
Mandatory overtime may be required (Saturday and possible weekday)
Volunteer overtime may be available

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to frequently lift and carry boxes weighing up to 50 pounds for intervals of 15-30 minutes.
Work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures
Walk, sit, stand, squat, and bend over for intervals of 15-30 minutes, with or without reasonable accommodation.
May be required to use pneumatic tools and overhead hoist.
Will be required to work in various areas of the facility day-to-day based on business needs.
Additional Information:
Starting wage is $ 16.80 per hour
Openings are in Clayton, OH
Eligibility for employment is contingent on passing all active pre-employment screenings
No relocation is offered for this position
