INSIDE SALES SPECIALIST
Please Note: You must be able to work ON-SITE @ 10 Peachtree Pl, NW, Atlanta, GA at least three (3) days per week and/or as additionally required.
There is NO relocation assistance available for this position.
The Inside Sales Specialist works to grow the Atlanta Gas Light (AGL) and Chattanooga Gas Company (CGC) business by assisting Account Executives in the creation and fulfillment of new business projects, facilitating the addition of incremental load to existing residential customers, and performing additional inside sales responsibilities, including customer education about rebates in support of company growth.
Functional Expertise:
Educate customers on all requirements prior to meter installation and activation (service line run, inspection, marketer request, appliance regulators, permits, etc.).
Determine documentation requirements and explain any contract needs to customers.
Set customers' expectations regarding the timeline and the customer experience.
Able to communicate and provide education regarding allowable investment and any required customer contribution in aid of construction.
Provide education and guidance around customer onboarding and retention, including process flow and setting the expectation around customer experience.
Able to communicate rebates and the benefits of adding additional appliances.
Able to demonstrate full understanding of Rule 7 of the AGL/CGC Gas Extension Contract.
Maintain working knowledge of all company products, services, promotions, company tariffs, operating policies, and procedures.
Business Acumen:
Perform research and verification of service card information in systems such as GSCA. Coordinate with the service center and Account Executives to schedule field visits when necessary.
Works with residential applicants in the AGL & CGC markets to facilitate their need for incremental load to serve additional appliances being added to their home.
Ensure that all tasks associated with installation of service lines, meter sets and meter upgrades are completed in a prompt and proactive manner so that the customer experiences a timely and worry-free transition or upgrade to natural gas.
Document, evaluate, and process residential added load projects with applicants by obtaining and processing essential project information such as plats, site plans, load and pressure requirements, general contractor information, etc.
Perform tasks such as creating Primary Work Requests (PWRs), entering gas loads, and entering customer contact information. Update and complete assigned on-boarding tasks in work que within ARM.
Send form letters and/or mass mailings to customers, upon customer or new business representatives' request.
Create, send, track and receive customer contracts and ability to communicate terms, specifically in regard to Rule 7 of the Gas Extension Contract.
Work reports to expedite customers' requests, enter and schedule meter set orders, update customer DDDCs, review status of work requests within Contractor Portal, and monitor and process requests received in high-volume departmental email box.
Complete project data entry and make customer calls for Account Executives, as needed. Provide coverage for Account Executives during planned and unplanned absences.
Initiate PWRs from weekly reports for Account Executives. Respond to inquiries concerning natural gas availability from potential customers utilizing IRP, ARM, GCMA, CMA, CC&B, Google Earth, DOT websites, GSCA, etc.
Formulate problem solving solutions for customers and participate in activities designed to improve customer satisfaction and business performance.
Engagement:
Upsell customers on the advantages of natural gas and suggest additional equipment that may benefit their premise to promote multiple burner tips.
Work with contractors and provide information related to existing service lines at building sites within Contractor Portal.
Build and maintain relationships with HVAC contractors and plumbers to ensure mutual commitment to serve customers.
Provide referrals to the Energy Solutions team for potential Natural Gas Preferred Partner (NGPP) program.
Attend service center business meetings and builder events to promote customer retention and growth.
Educate contractors to keep them aware of processes, forms, and company websites to help facilitate better supporting customer retention and growth.
Driving Results:
Following up with existing customers to ensure full satisfaction and to reinforce the Company's commitment to quality service.
Provide research assistance for strategic planning and business development efforts.
Conduct workshops for business partners to aid in smooth and seamless onboarding and upgrade process.
Work cohesively with other team members, managing project volume and shared email inbox to ensure all customers receive the attention and assistance needed to add appliances.
Support management in identifying new customers, markets, and applications for natural gas and assess the business impact of those implications.
Maintain inquiry tracking database for potential customers who inquire about natural gas, but don't move forward at that time. Monitor changes within the database and contact potential customers as situations for conversion opportunities change.
Recognize bundling of potential customers to extend facilities and serve multiple customers from the inquiry tracking database and provide warm leads to Account Executives.
Work in a high volume, fast paced multi-tasking environment coordinating with ECC Multi Advisors & Onboarding Specialists, Account Executives, Project Coordinators, New Business Coordinators, Contractors, Customers, Engineering, Service Centers, and Resource Management.
Seek out opportunities to add gas load and value to customers with a goal of always maximizing market penetration. Educate customers around current rebate offerings.
Provide support to the Inside Sales Coordinators as needed to assist with rebates, preferred builder agreements, DDDC updates, etc.
Adhere to established policy, procedure and quality standards within service standards or metrics for work performed.
RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE
Work within multiple systems such as IRP, ARM, GCMA, CMA, CC&B, Google Earth, DOT Websites, GSCA, Contractor Portal, Nitro Sign, etc.
Represent the company to foster and maintain relationships with customers.
Responsible for complying with work policy, practices, and procedures. Assist with training and coaching new employees.
Responsible for special projects as requested and other duties as assigned in support of company growth.
Education, Certifications/Licenses:
Required:
High School Diploma or GED
Five years of related experience
Preferred:
BA/BS degree with 2-3 years applicable experience.
Natural Gas industry experience with 2-3 years field, sales, construction, or GIS experience.
Experience working in WMS/ARM, GSCA, GCMA, CMA, CC&B, Contractor Poral, Gas Request.

Must be able to independently set priorities of tasks amongst multiple assigned projects.
Strong attention to detail with demonstrated ability to work with all levels within the organization.
