As an Account Specialist, you will provide business development support to large eCommerce accounts with a focus on finished plumbing and bathroom fixture product lines. Primary objectives include identifying opportunities to run our business more effectively and serve our customers better. We provide a great runway for you to execute on these findings. A successful Account Specialist will thrive in this entrepreneurial environment amidst a mature industry using a healthy mix of creativity, strong business analytics, critical thinking, and good old-fashioned elbow grease. This is an excellent opportunity to grow into several career paths within Ferguson, including cross-functional account exposure, Account Management, and Marketing.
This is a hybrid role that has the flexibility to be based in either our Newport News, VA or Atlanta, GA office. As a hybrid role, in-office training will be required but this role will have the flexibility to work from home the majority of the work-week. A weekly in-office presence will be required, with 1 day/week (Wednesdays) in-office anticipated, plus occasional additional time for meetings & collaboration, as needed.
You will:
Build and maintain product data for our customers and own the integrity of that data
Conduct pricing analysis for products, brands, customers, etc. to improve profitability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and drive sales growth
Analyze data to identify opportunities and execute appropriate actions
Manage a diverse assortment specific to the customer's strategic outlook
You have:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience, required
Prior experience with eCommerce, Merchandising, or Internet Merchandising, preferred
Intermediate proficiency with MS Excel, including pivot tables and v-lookups, required
Ability to be flexible, adaptable, and multitasking skills needed, including the ability to balance multiple, urgent requests
An analytical, detail-oriented personality with an ability to think creatively
Strong interpersonal skills for working with customers, vendors, and team members
A burning desire to learn and be impactful
