Job Summary
This position is on the Marketing Services team at Mississippi Power which supports the goals of the Customer Solutions organization. Customer Solutions deploys offerings for residential and business customers to address their energy related needs and to deliver superior value. This job will focus on the development and promotion of offerings specifically for business customers. This role will work primarily in the office as part of a highly collaborative team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Identify opportunities and develop strategy for demand side management offerings for businesses including load growth/electrification, energy efficiency, demand response, and distributed energy resources.
Ongoing support for outdoor lighting and business services teams including analysis of goals, trends, wins/losses, profitability, etc.
Ongoing support for major accounts team including segment/customer analysis and technology trends to identify sales and service opportunities.
Engage with OPCO's to develop colocation strategy that proactively markets our infrastructure.
Work with Southern Telecom and Power Delivery to identify opportunities to lease excess fiber capacity to generate new revenues.
Identify grant opportunities and federal funding for businesses to deploy energy related projects.
Understand latest energy-related technology trends including DER's (solar/batteries), connected devices, etc.
Manage demonstration/R&D projects to explore potential demand side management offerings.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, accounting, or finance preferred
3+ years of sales, product development or project management experience
Technical knowledge of energy-related customer options
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects with changing priorities and produce timely results
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to effectively communicate through verbal and written channels
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
