Senior Systems Administrator - Colorado Springs, CO

Serco is looking for a Sr. Systems Administrator in Colorado Springs, CO to provide Functional System Administrator (FSA) Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services for all United States Space Force (USSF) Enterprise Information Services (EIS) environments.
In this role, you will:
Maintains the EIS server environments to provide required availability.
Applies approved and tested patches to the EIS environments.
Reviews error logs on all servers daily.
Performs daily system and serviceability tests.
Performs database maintenance as needed.
Monitors system performance as well as Structured Query Language (SQL) operations and performance.
Brings SQL servers into and out of service in clustered environments andfront-end servers in and out of load balance as needed.
Repairs/rebuilds SharePoint servers as needed.
Submits and coordinates all system-level change requests; and remediates Classified Spills on the SharePoint systems.
Tests patches and changes in the EIS USSF Laboratory/Data Center prior to application on the live systems.
Applies patches and changes to the SharePoint environments as needed. Provides SharePoint Notification Banners with USSF EIS information as needed; provides technical updates and issues e-mail notifications to the USSF EIS users.
Supports the Tier 2 Service Desk during system-level outages/service interruptions.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field with 5+ years' experience. Additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree requirement (i.e. Associate Degree and 7+ years' experience or High School Diploma and 9+ years' experience).
Must possess a Secret clearance.
DoD IAT Level 2 (e.g. CompTIA Security+) or higher certification is required
Experience with operating Metalogix Control Point for SharePoint and Content Matrix.
SharePoint Web Frontend Load Balancing processes utilizing Cisco Load Balancers; conducting backup and recovery services for SharePoint and SQL applications; using remote access tools for managing and maintaining large server farm environments.
HIGHLY DESIRED SKILLS:
ISC CISSP certification preferred
MCSA or MCSE highly desired
Ability to effectively communicate technical issues and status with all levels of Military and Civilian personnel within USSF.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot problems with Microsoft load balanced clustered servers.
Strong knowledge of SharePoint to include managing Microsoft SQL in a clustered environment; Microsoft System Administration skills; Virtual Server builds and management; strong demonstrated trouble shooting skills.
Maintaining large scale SharePoint farms; administering/maintaining SharePoint 2013; SQL 2012; Microsoft servers; CRM servers; Accenture TMT 4.x; clustered servers in an Active-Passive cluster. Managing VMWare servers and systems; and Storage Area Networks (SANs).

In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $76,172.06 to $126,953.43; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
