THE ROLE : The Outside Sales Rep will be responsible for maximizing the financial performance of their territory by expanding the rental and sales of Xylem products and services. In this role, the incumbent will also utilize strong technical and product knowledge will solve customer fluid handling programs and increase company business through the development of pumping systems, products, aftermarket sales and services in the markets we serve. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Maximize the financial performance of the region by expanding the rentals and sales of Xylem products and services.
Grow and maintain an effective sales pipeline utilizing SalesForce.com.
Establish new accounts while maintaining and increasing the sales volume of territory accounts and territories in compliance with all company policies, instructions, and directives. This includes aggressively soliciting orders through cold calling, developing construction marketing data leads, answering incoming requests and all other means possible.
Apply application technologies to provide useful and practical service, pumps, and solutions to customers, while seeking new uses for company products.
Work in conjunction with Marketing to drive bid reporting services and lead management in addition to build company image to drive new opportunities and brand recognition within the territory.
Identify, develop, and implement local marketing strategies to expand penetration of Xylem's products
Create synergy opportunities for cross-business selling based on Xylem solution set awareness.
Be alert to competitive products and merchandising practices.
Prepare and assist with various sales reports. This includes sales audits, bids, proposals, quotes, workload analysis, sales forecasts, territory potentials, call programs and routes, call reports and expense reports. Also submit any special reports regarding the operation of the territory, acceptance of products, or competitive conditions as may be required.
Attend and participate in sales meetings, training programs, sales blitzes, committee activities, conventions and trade shows as directed. Participate in other worthwhile community activities as public relations asset to the company.
Assist in the field training of any sales representative as requested.
Keep abreast of and review/analyze Dodge Room and Contractors Exchange Research reports.
Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities
QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2+ years' sales or sales related experience (pump or rental industry preferred).
Thorough knowledge of consultative/value-based selling.
Knowledge of mechanical and pumping designs; hydraulic, pneumatics, water flow, diesel, gas, and electric motors in related field of pumps, pumping systems, equipment rental or construction preferred.
Previous experience in the use of Salesforce.com or other CRM's is required.
Ability to present product education seminars to groups of 20-40 people is a must.
Effective interpersonal skills with customers, employees, and management team.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
Strong teamwork and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
Ability to demonstrate effective negotiation and influencing skills along with knowledge of selling practices and techniques.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and the use of computer applications.
Ability to meet and continuously maintain authorization to operate a company vehicle.
DAY IN THE LIFE :
In this role, the working environment is both in office and visiting customer job sites as well as a shop environment. This position requires the ability to safely and effectively operate a company vehicle for extended periods of time throughout cities, job sites, major highways and interstates (including tunnels and bridges) and in all weather conditions. The standard weekly job hours are 40 hours and the travel requirement is up to 50%. This position requires the new hire to lift up to 70 lbs.
SALARY :
The estimated salary range for this position is $70,000 to $90,000 plus quarterly commission. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range. THE ROLE : The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for all the site's accounting and compliance deliverables including month-end closing and reporting, managing the general ledger, performing internal control protocols, SOX compliance and supporting internal and external audit. Month-end closing cycle:
Prepare, analyze and record timely journal entries with supporting documents.

Prepare and submit supplemental schedules and reports in One Stream
Support the site engineering team with capital projects portfolio from PAR (project approval request) thru creation of fixed assets in the general ledger. Review and analyze the CIP (construction in progress) account on a monthly basis and close out capital projects on a timely manner.
Partner with the site Inventory and Materials Management team with the ongoing review and analysis of Excess and Obsolete inventory (E&O); make recommendations to optimize site's inventory goals.
Manage the site's quarterly / annual internal control and SOX compliance protocols for the site.
Maintain an effective internal control environment to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and compliance with laws and regulations. Support all internal and external audit requirements for the site.
Partner with the FP&A team with the development of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and quarterly forecasts.
Assist the regional Cost Accounting team with the development of standard costing for the site.
Participate in the site's Kaizen initiative and Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to drive productivity and efficiency.
Identify potential risks and opportunities and communicate to the management team to make timely decisions to optimize risks and opportunities.
Support the controller with special project assignments.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or financial/accounting with +5 years of business experience.
CPA, CMA or MBA is preferred.
Must have a working knowledge of United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
Experience in publicly traded multi-site environment
Excellent communication (written and oral) and personal interaction skills required.
Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized. Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills

The estimated salary range at this professional level is $95,000 to $115,000 plus bonus. Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

Interprets drawings, checklists, specifications, routings, and procedures used in the fabrication of components and units. Inspects work to ensure compliance to all the aforementioned documents.
Rig and operate crane, forklift truck, handcart, etc. to handle, move, and position parts and/or units within or between departments.

Verifies material is correct (quality, type, quantity) prior to the start of assembly. Transfers/records heat numbers to ensure material traceability is maintained.
Ensures unit/part cleanliness per specification, customer requirement and/or procedure prior to releasing for shipment.
Paint and package units and parts as necessary for shipment to customers or subcontractors

Acts as the ISO representative and manages the compliance of the specified plant to standards.
Lead the internal quality department for annual review purposes. Assess the department in terms of skills and identify training needs. Develop a set of common expectations for the Quality Engineers (QEs).
Lead the internal quality department in disciplined data driven plant floor improvement.
Be a visible presence on the plant floor. Review processes and make recommendations to your team for improvement. Lead the corrective action process for both warranty and manufacturing related issues
Oversee product-defect data collection and assist in directing corrective actions of top product-defect and warranty items. Personally track weekly progress. Coordinate MRB process & actively resolve key customer issues.
Conduct weekly update sessions with QEs to review current activities and ensure that progress is being made on open projects, corrective actions, etc. Track progress against established goals/metrics and associated plans.
Track Quality System audits. Work with business unit leaders to close gaps identified in system audits. Actively lead the pursuit of an ISO compliant system. The Role: Xylem seeks to hire a QA Manager who oversees and manages the daily execution of Quality Management System for the plant with primary focus on Internal and Customer Quality. Leads, participates in and manages quality engineers in daily duties and continuous improvement projects. Acts as the ISO representative and manages the compliance of the specified plant to standards.
Lead the internal quality department for annual review purposes. Assess the department in terms of skills and identify training needs. Develop a set of common expectations for the Quality Engineers (QEs).
Lead the internal quality department in disciplined data driven plant floor improvement.
Be a visible presence on the plant floor. Review processes and make recommendations to your team for improvement. Lead the corrective action process for both warranty and manufacturing related issues
Oversee product-defect data collection and assist in directing corrective actions of top product-defect and warranty items. Personally track weekly progress. Coordinate MRB process & actively resolve key customer issues.
Conduct weekly update sessions with QEs to review current activities and ensure that progress is being made on open projects, corrective actions, etc. Track progress against established goals/metrics and associated plans.
Track Quality System audits. Work with business unit leaders to close gaps identified in system audits. Actively lead the pursuit of an ISO compliant system. Set expectations for QEs to participate in the NPD process. Kick-start this process through active leadership during initial efforts. (i.e. participate yourself)
Prepare monthly reports that outline improvement activities for the month as well as current customer PPM levels and any returns for the month. Summarize corrective actions related to these returns. Summarize warranty status and any actions on warranty items. Suggest improvements to the QMS
Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:
Bachelor's Degree in applied science, or engineering field. Master's degree preferred. Advanced certification a plus.
Five (5) years prior experience in Quality Assurance for consumer product manufacturer
Experience in quality management systems. Experience in quality system audits
Strong proficiency of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and Power Point
Demonstrated experience working with manufacturers, suppliers and distributors
Demonstrated exceptional written and oral communication skills
Proven track record in setting and managing business targets and achieving objectives.
Successful experience working in challenging business environment where skills/abilities were stretched.
Demonstrated success in managing inter-functional challenges
Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
Ability to lead a team in the creation of basic manufacturing quality documentation:
Control plans - FMEA - Audits - Work instructions - OMS Procedures
Ability to lead a team in the implementation and maintenance of a layered audit program.
Ability to forge cross functional ties and partnerships. Ability to manage time effectively.
Ability to manage and coach a team of QEs in shop floor quality management
SALARY:
The estimated salary range for this position is $100,000 to $130,000 plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
