THE ROLE : The Vice President, IT Infrastructure & Cloud Services serves as a key member of the Information Technology leadership team and is responsible for the selection, management and expansion of global IT Infrastructure & Cloud Services, reporting to the Chief Information Officer. This role is responsible for reviewing, implementing and monitoring all Infrastructure and Cloud Services for the company; leading the Information Technology strategy within assigned functional area; and leading the Infrastructure development of the platforms for the company. This role is also responsible for talent development and matching IT resources and priorities to deliver needed technology strategies. Coordinates across Xylem IT groups to resolve information technology issues, supports IT planning and provides enforcement of those standards. This position is also responsible for overseeing all assigned Infrastructure certification, cloud platforms and management support functions within their group.

Select, organize, train, develop, and motivate a strong technical/team to assure high level of productivity, the best use of individual and group capabilities and appropriate career planning for all colleagues.
Responsible for developing and implementing a global cloud strategy including the rationalization of existing data centers and clouds.
Responsible for global operational maintenance of infrastructure according to cybersecurity standards and policies.
Develop and recommend the department budget, monitor approved divisional budgets, note deviations, and initiate corrective actions in order to control costs and report on Information Technology performance and planning efforts.
Review and recommend relevant policies and procedures and assure their complete implementation to insure operational control and regulatory compliance.
Provide direction in the use of Information technology for the corporation in terms of evaluating new and/or enhanced technologies, review plans and activities with the Business Units, and approve Information Technology plans and projects across the company before funds are released or contracts are signed.
Evaluate new technical developments and investments (hardware and software) that will advance enterprise objectives. Apply ideas from other industries, situations, and companies to growth and market expansion.
Provide leadership in utilization of Information Technology throughout the corporation.
Manage the Infrastructure development / deployment, including key enterprise and divisional systems. Also, assist the business in standardizing and modernizing data centers that support customer-based business applications.
Manage and provide appropriate resources for the approved information and communications systems and projects.
Internal Control Responsibilities:
Responsible for determining resource requirements, training needs, and internal control procedures that address relevant objectives.
Make recommendations on controls, monitor the infrastructure with processes, and meet with senior management to report on the operation of internal control.
Maintain the appropriate professional competencies and evaluate the capacity, staffing levels, and competency of colleagues.
Accountable to senior management for responsibilities in internal control
QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in business, computer science, engineering or related field
Ten years of IT professional level experience with a minimum of five years upper management experience in IT with multiple Infrastructure solutions, most predominately migrations to cloud and platform based offerings
Must show a career track of progressive IT roles
Experience should include roles in deploying business infrastructure and oversight of computer operations, computer hardware management and system design
Significant experience working in a multi-cloud and hybrid environment
Able to travel globally - approximately 20%
Proven oral and written communication skills to clearly and concisely present information
Familiarity/expertise in Lean methodologies
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree
Manufacturing experience and an understanding of manufacturing factory solutions
DAY IN THE LIFE :
In this role, the working environment is generally in an office setting and may be performed remotely. The physical demands may include but are not limited to moving around in an office environment, frequent oral communication, close vision, and ability to operate office equipment.
SALARY :
The estimated salary range for this position is $240,000 to $330,000 plus bonus and equity. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range. Regularly gathers and analyzes business, market and competitor information and supports the development of the strategic marketing plan.
Leads Voice of Customer programs to solve strategic growth questions for the business and sense for latent customer needs.
New Business Development:
Develops go to and get-to market strategies for existing products/applications/markets in geographies where market share is low compared to goals and/or are targeted areas for growth.
Works closely with the Demand Generation Manager to develop targeted lead generation and brand building marketing campaigns that can be directly attributed to revenue growth.
Identifies potential market adjacency opportunities.
Business Development Manager
Works with channel partners to build their business.
Partners with sales to identify strategic accounts and provide insights, training, or other support as needed.
Performs thorough assessments of the potential for specific new target markets and technology opportunities and develops go-to and get-to market strategies to pursue these opportunities
Growth Partnerships:
Builds industry and customer alliances and participates in industry/trade organizations.
Identifies potential business partners and scouts for M&A opportunities.
Develops content for and/or participates in training events for customers and sales organization.
Demonstrates thought leadership by presenting in industry seminars, leading webinars and publishing white papers.
QUALIFICATIONS :
BA or BS in Marketing, Business or Engineering
8-15 years of related experience
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including presentation skills.
Knowledge of principles and methods for driving growth and value creation.
Balance strategic and tactical efforts - Ability to get credible results/wins working one-on-one with sales & ops AND providing a clear 3-5-year framework for accelerating profitable growth.
Ability to create followership and influence - get teams rallied around the business especially in sales & product management by informing, listening, convincing, and persuading others to action on key growth initiatives.
Collaboration and teamwork. Proven track record of teamwork, innovation, and results.
Converts theory and insights into specific actions.
Ability to manage and organize multiple priorities in a poised, self-driven manner.
Superior business perspective, problem solving, and command skills.

SALARY:
The estimated salary range for this position is $110,000 to $140,000 plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience, and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
