Scope of Service:
The Registered Nurse assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the nursing care provided to a group of patients. This nurse leads the nursing team members in the care as directed by the attending physician and in collaboration with other health care providers in accordance with the philosophy and policies of ProMedica Acute Care Hospitals. Actively participates in the creation of an environment that fosters patient, family, physician and employee satisfaction. Ensures decisions made are based on patient and family centered care philosophy utilizing evidenced based practices, and focused on safety, customer satisfaction, and quality outcomes.

Unit Overview:
19 Bed Unit
4:1 Patient to RN ratio
Patient Population:
Chronic Heart Failure, Myocardial Infarction, Atrial and Ventricular Arrhythmias, Pre and post Stent, PPM Insertion, and ICD Insertion.
This unit also takes intermediate overflow patients as needed.

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the coordination, planning, implementation of care for the outpatient infusion patients. Provide leadership support for all departments and serves as a communication link between department leadership and all employees and physicians. As a leader and role model demonstrates behavior that supports management and administration in the achievement of goals and objectives set by the organizational strategic plan while providing exceptional internal and external customer service.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Oversees staffing, orientation, and day-to-day operations; Assists in the orientation and training of new employees, completes performance evaluations in coordination with unit manager and makes recommendations to immediate supervisor regarding need for coaching subordinates, ensures that supplies and equipment are in good working order and available in the department, and provides in- servicing of new equipment in conjunction with nursing manager and nursing education.
Manages and oversees staffing schedule/needs and payroll activities , maintains appropriate staffing with a fair and consistent allocation of department resources based on patient census and staffing grid, approves overtime and paid meal periods for shifts, coordinates work flow to allow breaks and lunches, assigns daily staffing duties, making adjustments as necessary, and communicates changes and status with unit manager and/or nursing supervisor.
Demonstrates competence in managing unit in the absence of the Unit Manager or Director and demonstrates decision-making abilities consistent with PHS code of conduct and hospital goals and objectives, supports management and administration in the achievement of goals and objectives set by the organizational strategic plan by actively creating a positive atmosphere of commitment, assists in the development and implementation of new unit policies, procedures, standards and objectives and interprets and ensures adherence to departmental and hospital-wide policies.
Demonstrates and promotes teamwork within the unit as well as throughout the organization; supports peers in their achievements and improvement endeavors, serves as a resource and leader for personnel in resolving patient care problems, both clinical and non-clinical, and is integral in the development, coaching, teaching and counseling of staff, demonstrates leader rounding on patients, staff, and physicians daily to promote patient focused care delivery and enhance patient experience.
Demonstrates decision-making abilities consistent with PMRH code of conduct and hospital goals and objectives.
Provides excellent patient care, accurately documents care given with concise, pertinent patient information including nursing intervention and patient and patient response. Meets, exceeds and maintains the clinical requirements of the department staff registered nurse and is able to work in all areas as needed. Maintains current knowledge and clinical expertise through ongoing involvement in professional activities such as hospital in-service programs, seminars, lectures, and continuing education. Assumes personal responsibility for professional development and takes opportunity to increase leadership skills.
Assists with performance improvement activities. Assumes active role in Performance Improvement activities, JCAHO accreditation, meeting HCHAPS goals, and standards of care. Attends meetings and serves on committees as directed. Maintains unit performance records and compiles statistics including hours of care and overtime or as directed by Manager. Attends 80% of unit and nursing administration meetings as required, and may conduct unit meetings in the absence of Department Manager.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education : Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program and possess a registered nurse license in the State of Ohio.
Skills : Must have oncology or chemotherapy infusion experience. Basic computer skills such as hospital patient care systems, word, excel or the ability to learn such. Must possess leadership skills including demonstrated willingness to pursue and perform leadership roles with increasing levels of accountability, comfort with decision-making responsibilities, coaching, teaching and counseling skills, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others and to forge alliances and garner support. Must have Clinical expertise, theoretical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to perform principle duties and responsibilities. Utilizes creative thinking, is self-directed and utilizes problem-solving and decision-making abilities and skills.
Years of Experience : Must have at least 2 years nursing experience, preferably medical/surgical nursing, which should include demonstrated management ability. 6 months to 1 year on chemotherapy experience.
License : OH nursing license

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE
Experience with Ports, central lines, ultrasound IV access, assessing and managing side effects, critical thinking for emergent anaphylactic reactions and ability to learn new procedures.
Must have interpersonal skills to deal calmly and effectively with multiple activities involved in the operation of the unit. Attends education in-services in leadership, management, and clinical updates. Effectively communicates and interacts with patients of the following ages as appropriate; neonate (birth to 1 month), infant (1 month to 1 year), pediatric (1 to 12 years, adolescent (12 to 17 years), adult (18 to 64 years), and geriatric (64 years and above), patients' families, physicians, staff and other contacted in the function of charge nurse.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Personal Protective Equipment: N-95, CAPR, PAPR, chemotherapy PPE
Physical Demands: Must have the physical ability to freely move; to move about the nursing floor for extended periods; and assist in lifting, positioning, and transporting patients. As an essential job function, due to continuously changing patient census/activity and staffing needs, must have the flexibility to work a varying schedule should the need arise, which may require working overtime (greater than 40 worked hours per week) and/or shift durations that exceed the assigned status for shift length and/or hours per week.

Phlebotomist reports to department leader with no direct reports.
POSITION SUMMARY
Performs routine and special blood specimen collection for all age specific patients.
ACCOUNTABILITIES - All Essential to the Role
Collects products or specimens for basic procedures and may perform point-of-care testing using proper techniques.
Follows strict principles of asepsis and antisepsis. Assists in the care of the patient prior to, during and after specimen collection.
Determines, from like samples, combinations of tests and the associated acceptable minimum volumes. Knowledgeable of pre-analytic variables, which may affect specimen analysis. Familiar with test synonyms and abbreviations, and cross-referencing tests to specimen types.
Utilizes laboratory computer information system to include all work aides and shortcuts within the system. Utilizes quality assurance data to enhance the services rendered by the section. Recommends changes in procedures to address quality issues and provide customer/patient satisfaction.
Performs and documents quality control procedures.
Acts as a resource and is a liaison between phlebotomy staff and Laboratory /Point of Care Team.
Cross trained in defined core job functions and patient care departments.
Routinely perform difficult specimen collections, such as re-draws and misses.
Assists in the training of new associates or students.
As needed, performs all pre-analytic tasks associated with sample preparation including, but not limited to, centrifugation, decanting, and specimen packaging.
Maintains established hospital and departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control. Complies with requirements of accreditation and regulatory agencies by attending mandatory in-services and continuing laboratory education and participating in continuous quality improvement. Maintains and upgrades personal professional development.
Maintains appropriate par levels and organizes supplies and equipment in work areas as assigned. Notifies appropriate associate when re-order levels are reached, and equipment needs to be repaired.
Maintains protocols and procedures for excellent patient care and follows guidelines for infection control management.
Demonstrates good teamwork. Willingly accepts adjustments to assignments and adapts willingly to changes in workflow and processes. Provides excellent customer service incorporating ProMedica's core values.
Performs other duties as directed or assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School diploma or Equivalent.
License/Certification/Experience:
A diploma from an accredited phlebotomy training institute OR one year phlebotomy experience.
Successful completion of an academic program which included substantial practical clinical phlebotomy experience (i.e.: 3+ week clinical student rotation program in a hospital setting).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Professional registration preferred [i.e., PBT(ASCP)]
1 year experience in a high-volume phlebotomy environment
WORKING CONDITIONS

Must be able to continuously move between hospital departments, and floors while maintaining confidentiality on workstations.
Must be able to understand directions and be able to communicate and respond to

Must be able to tolerate exposure to disease bearing specimens, blood, and body
fluids, odorous chemicals, carcinogens, mutagens, low level radiation, electrical hazards, and flammable liquids. Must be prepared to wear appropriate PPE and follow PPE guidelines.

Position Summary
Our Environmental Services Technicians are responsible for executing the daily duties required to establish and maintain a safe, hygienic, and aesthetically pleasing care environment. While executing the assigned tasks, the EVS Tech will have contact with patients, visitors, and clinical and non-clinical staff. Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for daily occupied and discharge/transfer cleaning and disinfection of patient rooms, as well as other common areas of their job assignment such as rest rooms, nurses' stations, corridors, conference rooms, utility rooms, treatment areas, kitchens, offices, lobbies, lounges, stairwells and waiting rooms. Other assigned areas may include surgery OR's, labor and delivery, emergency department and other procedural areas.

Direct reporting to the department Administrative Director with matrix reporting to the Lead, Clinical Manager regarding State-Funded Case Management, and the SI Clinical Director for Self-Insured Case Management. This position is a working Team Lead that has daily oversight of other RN Case Managers.
POSITION SUMMARY
Nurse Case Managers communicate with injured workers [IW], employers, providers, third-party administrators, attorneys, and the Ohio Bureau of Worker's Compensation [BWC] to obtain a safe RTW while meeting or exceeding Measure of Disability [MOD] benchmarks.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Communicates and collaborates with injured workers [IW], employers, providers, third-party administrators, attorneys, and the Ohio Bureau of Worker's Compensation [BWC] to obtain a safe RTW while meeting or exceeding Measure of Disability [MOD] benchmarks. Adheres to the BWC contract requirements, URAC accreditation guidelines, and all HMS policies, especially Confidentiality.
Evaluates assigned claimant's physical, psychosocial, environmental, financial, and health status while establishing measurable goals appropriate for the claimant that promote the desired outcomes. Regularly reassess the claimant's status and progress. Compare claimant's injury course to established pathways. Determine variances. Identify claimant in static or regressive status and opportunities for intervention. Adjust care plan when necessary and appropriate.
Processes C-9 Treatment Requests within applicable program timeframes to provide the IW with the treatment medically necessary and appropriate for the allowed conditions and staff C-9 Treatment Requests with the Medical Director as needed. Collaborates with providers to obtain current treatment plans, results of diagnostics, and RTW goals.
Coordinates with the Catastrophic Nurse Case Manager to medically manage life care plans for catastrophic claims, including conducting onsite visits for Catastrophic claims and/or occasional Field Case Management with providers when necessary.
Obtains modified duty availability from employers and restrictions from providers. Identifies IWs who are potential vocational rehabilitation candidates and complete the referral process, and subsequently coordinates with the Vocational Rehabilitation Coordinator to medically manage care plans for vocational rehabilitation claims. May schedule exams, request file reviews, and appropriateness reviews as dictated by Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation or Ohio or WV self-insured employers.
Serves as a resource for staffing of difficult cases to establish workflows and priorities for the team as needed. This includes delegating duties to claims examiners and administrative assistants on the team to meet expectations and guidelines.
Participates in educational and informational seminars as required to maintain credentials, licensures, and qualifications and to meet HMS required education according to our Ohio BWC contract and URAC accreditation. Identifies quality issues and variances and reports to Quality Improvement Staff at Health Management Solutions.
Reports administrative grievances and contested treatment decisions under the direction of the Manager or designee according to the applicable Ohio Bureau Workers' Compensation Alternative Dispute Resolution and/or client-specific dispute processes and established Grievance process. Reviews medications being paid in claims to determine appropriateness and medical necessity as determined by national standard medication guidelines and as the medications related to the BWC claim conditions. Determines if intervention is needed, collaborates with providers as part of the drug utilization review process, and educates injured workers.
Supports claims management efforts of employers (state fund and self-funded) and payers. The level of support is determined by the employer or payers and can involve face-to-face meetings, conferences, and the creation of customized reports.
Completes required reviews and interventions in the effort to meet Exceptional Performance quality measures and other initiatives including but not limited to DUR (Drug Utilization Review, Beers/Elderly Injured Worker, High-Risk Drug Utilization.
Responsible for evaluating and documenting any approved planned inpatient stay, with consideration of the BWC claim condition allowances, comorbidities of the patient, enrollment or certification status of providers, length of stay, and discharge plan. Also responsible to complete Concurrent Review with the hospital during an inpatient stay. Responsible for retrospectively reviewing all inpatient bills to ensure the appropriateness of all treatments provided during the inpatient stay. Responsible for assisting the Billing Department with the clinical review of bills and medical documentation when there are discrepancies or questions regarding appropriateness to reimburse treatment.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reports to unit manager. Works under supervision of a Registered Nurse and in collaboration with other health care professionals.
POSITION SUMMARY
One on one nursing preceptorship to enhance nursing knowledge, awareness of nursing role, enhancing confidence, acclimation to environment, and socialization to the team. Under supervision of RN preceptor and in collaboration with other care professionals, assists in performing a variety of nursing care services for patients.
PROGRAM DETAILS
Work one on one with a registered nurse preceptor under direct supervision in the clinical setting. Engage in required didactic educational assignments as scheduled. Participation in progress evaluations required.
Upon completion of the orientation requirements, the nursing apprentice is required to work a minimum of 24 hours a month as a nursing apprentice until transition into the nursing residency in addition to ongoing educational requirements. If a nursing apprentice does not accept or receive a residency position during the designated hiring period for their anticipated graduation date, their position as a nursing apprentice will be transitioned out of the nursing apprentice program and into another appropriate position as available.
Must maintain enrollment in accredited nursing program during Nursing Apprenticeship with exception of graduation from the program and awaiting to take NCLEX exam.

POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of a radiologist the MRI Technologist performs a variety of Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Obtains high quality scans, which are interpreted by a radiologist in the evaluation of disease or abnormality. Assists radiologist or other staff physicians in the performance of diagnostic MRI procedures whenever required.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Demonstrate knowledge and skill to utilize MRI equipment, PACs, EHR and Radiology Information Systems, selecting proper technical factors based on procedure, diagnosis, age, size, weight and anatomical difference s and general health status of various age groups.
Utilizes proper MRI safety parameters and age-appropriate immobilizers to product high quality MRI scans. Processes digital images. Critiques images for diagnostic quality.
Under the supervision of radiologist/physician demonstrates knowledge and ability to administer and document contrast according to standards for patients of all ages. Assists radiologist/ physician in the performance of diagnostic MRI procedures with patients of all ages performing support functions.
Demonstrates the ability and knowledge to identity educational needs, obtains patient history and provide information in an easily understood terminology with clear communication style about procedures and care to patients of various ages. Determine appropriateness of procedure based on the above.
Maintains equipment and facilities in a safe, clean condition. Reports equipment malfunctions. Demonstrates awareness of safety standards for self and assigned area. Performs all quality control checks as prescribed and maintains accurate QC logs.
Demonstrates high level of care, courtesy, and cooperation. Educates patients about their procedures and their families' comfort and needs are appropriately addressed in a dignified confidential manner. Follows organizations mission and values of customer service. Maintains effective communication with all members of the patient care team.
Competent and proficient in all imaging procedures, physical comfort measures and psychosocial issues when giving care to include neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Performs exams on patients under anesthesia or with conscious sedation.

Position Summary: Irad Tech for Cardiac Services - Invasive, will assists the physician with invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab. Must be an Allied Health Professional, Radiologic Tech, RN, RCIS or general X-ray machine operator.
A minimum of one year experience in the Cath lab or successful completion of a one year training program or have graduated from a recognized school that offered training in invasive cardiology.
Call is required on a rotational basis and is a minimum of 7 nights per month, this includes one weekend and one summer holiday and one winter holiday.

POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of a radiologist, the CT Technologist performs complex professional procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of patients. They obtain high quality scans, which are interpreted by a radiologist in the evaluation of disease or abnormality. Assists radiologists or other staff physicians in the performance of diagnostic CT procedures whenever required. This position also requires General Radiology job functions.
Must have completed formal radiology technology training at an AMA approved school.

The Registered Nurse assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the nursing care provided to a group of patients. This nurse leads the nursing team members in the care as directed by the attending physician and in collaboration with other health care providers in accordance with the philosophy and policies of ProMedica Acute Care Hospitals. Actively participates in the creation of an environment that fosters patient, family, physician and employee satisfaction. Ensures decisions made are based on patient and family centered care philosophy utilizing evidenced based practices, and focused on safety, customer satisfaction, and quality outcomes.
Scope of Service: The Registered Nurse provides nursing care to individuals and groups which require specialized knowledge, judgment, and skill derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, spiritual/cultural, and nursing sciences. The Registered Nurse functions within the full scope of nursing practice as noted by the Board of Nursing of their designated state for which they are practicing in addition to compliance with any of the hospitals accrediting bodies.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education : Associate degree in a laboratory science, or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution OR Transcripts showing 60 semester hours from an accredited institution with transcripts indicating 24 semester hours of medical laboratory technology courses or 24 semester hours of science courses that include 6 semester hours in chemistry, 6 semester hours of biology, and 12 semester hours of chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory technology in any combination OR meet an alternate qualification route for High Complexity Testing Personnel as detailed in 42 CFR subpart M 493.1489.
Years of Experience : Completion of a clinical laboratory training program approved or accredited by the ABHES, the CAHEA, or other organization approved by HHS OR at least three (3) months of full time experience across all lab disciplines OR alternate experience route for High Complexity Testing Personnel as detailed in 42 CFR subpart M 493.1489.
Certification : American Society of Pathology (ASCP) MLT eligible at time of hire with certification achieved within one year of hire.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Personal Protective Equipment: Lab Coat, Gloves, Protective Eyewear, as required.
Physical Demands: Must be able to move continuously about hospital and between workstations; and prolonged periods of standing.
