JOB SUMMARY: The Network Engineer, Sr (Avaya) is responsible for providing oversight, planning, design, engineering, administration, and primary technical support for the omni-channel and workforce optimization environments for the Southern Company. The associated contact center technology includes: ACD, IVR/VRU, Dialer, Virtual Queuing, Survey, Agent Desktop, Recording, QM, Agent Scorecard, Speech Analytics, and Workforce Optimization servers and applications. This person must become acclimated to the company's applications, telecommunication systems, and VoIP integrations while being able to manage technological changes within the environment.

Job Requirements
Knowledge of customer interaction delivery systems such as ACD, IVR, Dialer, SMS, and Agent Desktops. Avaya Systems include Communication Manager, Session Manager, Experience Portal, Proactive Outreach Manager, Callback Assist, OneX Agent, AES, Call Management System, Breeze and Oceana.
Knowledge of contact center workforce optimization systems, including Avaya/Verint ACR, AQM, WFE, Scorecard, Customer Feedback, DPA, and Speech Analytics.
Demonstrated personal computer skills (i.e., Word, Excel, Visio, etc.).
Basic understanding of database SQL. Ability to write basic SQL queries and navigate MS SQL Studio.
Basic understanding and ability to navigate Window OS and RedHat Linux environments.
Demonstrated knowledge of working within a VM environment (i.e., vSphere, backing up hosts, evaluating resources, etc.)
Effective oral and written communications skills with the ability to convey complex technical issues in business terms.
Self-motivated with the ability to effectively manage multiple project responsibilities simultaneously.
Team-oriented with a strong work ethic.

Education/Experience

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for design, implementation, administration, and support the Avaya telephony infrastructure relating to data/voice communications equipment; AWE, ACDs, IVR, Dialer, Recorders, etc.
Responsible for proactively analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving telecommunications systems and circuit issues in a timely manner. This includes managing vendors and communicating status to management.
Responsible for participating in planning, design, implementation, and management of projects that may include new locations, onboarding new customers, and deploying new technologies across the network.
Responsible for assisting in the management and prioritization of an annual budget for network and voice improvements in concert with related network planning, business case development and engineering design.
Responsible for development of and compliance with contact center system standards including documentation, product, lifecycle plans, and design packages.
Responsible for developing and participation in the successful completion of Contact Center Technology initiatives and Information Technology initiatives.
Responsible for providing primary maintenance (reactive, preventative, and quality assurance) support related to the identified voice and contact center equipment at specific Southern Company locations.

STORAGE UTILITY SPECIALIST
Entry level position into Nicor Gas Underground Natural Gas Storage and Peaking Operations Department.
This position will be responsible for completing a variety of tasks associated with the safe operation of various components and equipment associated with our high pressure Natural Gas Storage and Transmission assets.
This role will work in a team environment as well as have individual assignments. This role will be required to certify after a designated training period and will become enrolled into the Union after 30 days.
SOME BASIC TASKS SHALL INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
Safely and effectively work to accomplish assigned tasks in a timely manner.
Perform asset inspections, including painting and applying protective coatings.
Obtain and document surface wellhead pressures and flows as assigned.
Change surface equipment pressure and flow recording charts as assigned.
Place surface wellhead equipment online or offline.
Conduct Transmission City Gate Regulating Station inspections, including changing pressure and flow recording charts as assigned.
Recognize AOC's (Abnormal Operating Conditions) and take appropriate actions.
Other duties as assigned.

Land Supervisor
The Land Supervisor position will be responsible for managing all real property-related activities for the company, ensuring the timely and economical acquisition of real estate property, the preservation and/or disposal of real property, and the development and maintenance of an accurate real property records system. This will be done in support of Transmission, Distribution, Generation, and other company functions as required.
Major job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Acquisition : Manage the activities of the Real Estate Department to acquire; fee lands for generating plants, substations, offices and other fee parcels; easements for transmission lines, distribution lines, pipelines, fiber optic lines and other easements; leases for office, storage yards and other sites.
Budget : Ensure the department's budget is prepared and managed in support of corporate and project initiatives. Manage cost in an efficient manner in support of project and company goals.
Encroachments/Land Management : Manage the activities of the Department to preserve real property rights through removal of encroachments or granting of appropriate encroachment agreements.
Real Property : Manage and/or dispose of surplus real property as directed by company management.
People: Manage the activities of the Department to establish, maintain, and or support company real estate records. Support and ensure the department is in full compliance of all accounting, finance, contract, and property accounting requirements. Manage the department workforce. Motivate, develop, and manage the performance of the department employees.
Legal Actions : Manage the activities of the department to conduct legal actions through retained law firms. Legal actions may include eminent domain, encroachment removal, restraining orders and actions necessary to perform duties assigned to the department.
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience
A bachelor's degree is highly preferred.
Proven experience in managing the acquisition of, and protection of, real property held in fee owned parcels, easements, rentals, and leases.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Proven leadership abilities to provide direction for the department, manage and develop the department employees, and meet the expectations of those business units the department supports.
Knowledge of business and property law, title abstraction, appraisal, land and land uses, map and survey interpretation.
Knowledge of eminent domain procedures and permitting requirement in the states of Mississippi and Alabama.
Knowledge and experience understanding, interpreting and negotiating contract language of easement and contract documents utilized in acquiring and disposing of easements and fee parcels.

JOB SUMMARY
This position is for a Southern Company Technology Organization (TO) End User Analyst, II that will partner with Southern Company Services (SCS) and related operating companies to provide technology consulting to business partners to deliver automated or enhanced technological solutions based on the business partner's personal use of technology. Education

About This Team
The Payment Processing team manages and provides support for the task of processing customer payments for Southern Company Services (SCS) within Customer Service Operations. The team provides internal and external support to third party payment channels received via Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), for multi-account summary bill customers and for Georgia Power customers who choose to mail their payments. The team works closely with SCS subsidiary operating company customer service, collections and revenue analysis teams, Customer Service System (CSS) support personnel, and key account managers. The team also provides support to Payment Channel Industry (PCI) governance for SCS and provides guidance and expertise to this growing payment channel.
How You Will Contribute
Customer Support
Lead a team of customer support professionals tasked with receiving, reconciling, and booking electronic, mail remittance and summary billing payments.
Develop strategies, build relationships, and serve as the technical expert with EDI/Automated Clearing House (ACH) customers and third-party vendors to establish and maintain an automated, seamless electronic invoicing and payment exchange that meets the constantly changing needs of customers in an ever-expanding and advancing business application.
Establish and maintain relationships with commercial and industrial customers who participate in Summary Billing and recommend/develop strategies that meet the needs of these customers.
Customer Support Leadership
Build relationships with operating company and Technology Organization support teams to add value and create partnerships to facilitate payment processing enhancements.
Work closely with, and participate on, SCS system wide committees to support, assess, and process various customer payment channels to drive customer satisfaction.
Actively participate in the PCI Governance team to ensure SCS subsidiary payment channels accepting credit/debit cards remain compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards.

Proactively implement and maintain sound practices that comply with the requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley and auditing standards. Perform biannual review of controls to confirm that all requirements are met. Each payment channel requires daily review of balancing completed by team members, and review of month-end reconciliation.

This position performs technical and analytical services essential to the control systems and associated equipment (electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic) for the operation of Plant McIntosh including eight (8) simple cycle Combustion Turbines (CT's) and the Combined Cycle Plant, which consists of two (2) Combined Cycle (CC) units. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the plant controls and electrical systems and completing repairs as necessary. These systems include: Digital Control Systems, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's), Distributed Controls Systems (DCS), control circuits, power circuits, and control devices on plant equipment within the plant. The successful candidate will maintain instrumentation including but not limited to, pressure, temperature, level and flow devices that provide input to the various control systems. The successful candidate must understand and utilize a variety of hand tools, power tools, measurement and test equipment in the performance of duties. The candidate will be responsible for managing the inventory of parts and supplies for the plant control systems. The successful candidate will participate in the plant maintenance program as a system owner and document plant maintenance records in a computer-based work order system, MAXIMOR.
The position will also support the rest of the Georgia Coastal Group including CT's at Plant McManus (Brunswick) and Robins (Warner Robins).

The successful candidate will be responsible for writing and executing switching, directing emergency power restoration efforts, coordinating switching and operations with Distribution, Transmission and Substation groups as necessary, monitoring and operating the distribution automation system (SCADA) and taking action as needed. Various system applications are used such as IDMS, CSS, ARMS, DARTS and Arcos. This position will be filled at an exempt level 3 - 5 based on the knowledge, skills and abilities of the successful candidate.
Job Experience
Must pass SDOP (Southern Company Distribution Operating Procedure) test and be added to the Distribution Official Switching and Clearance List within the first 6 months
Bachelors in Engineering (ABET accredited) or the following job experience preferred

Reports to: Tim Matheson, Transmission Safety Supervisor
Location: Office location will be in the area supported by this position
JOB SUMMARY
Position will be filled at Exempt Level 4-6 depending on the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate. As part of the Power Delivery Safety team, the S&H Specialist will be responsible for providing Safety Leadership to the workgroups they support. JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop relationship with the First Line Supervisors (FLS) and Managers in the areas you support.
Keep up with the daily projects that crews are working on and communicate with FLS to understand the experience level of crews performing these projects.
Spend the majority of your time in the field with the crews you support to assure they have the proper level of safety support they need to do the job.
Work with management, employees and safety committees in implementing injury avoidance and accident prevention programs and providing safety training
Develop, coordinate, facilitate & monitor transmission safety programs, policies and initiatives.
Maintain knowledge of current OSHA laws and regulations as they apply to Power Delivery work to ensure compliance.
Interface with regulatory agencies and the corporate safety & health department.
Be involved in employee safety committees in the areas you support.
Investigate safety & non-compliance events.
Champion Human Performance and Learning Event efforts.
Promote Georgia Power's Southern Lifestyle, Functional Movement, and Wellness initiatives.
Model, promote and support an employee-owned safety culture that takes pride in Pursuing Safety Excellence, training and implementing S.T.E.P and Critical Risk Plans.
Support team initiatives around Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
Conduct and/or participate in audits, STEP observations, inspections, and self -assessments.
Conduct general and departmental safety meetings.
Identify safety training needs and provide safety training in applicable areas.
Represent the areas supported during audits.
Provide back-up coverage and assistance to Safety Specialist peers.
Work in partnership and cooperation with the Transmission Methods & Training Specialists to ensure that a consistent message reaches employees.
Must be available to work assigned storm duty or excess straight time, which could include evenings, weekends, holidays and overnight travel.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Certification in safety related field or college degree is a plus
Experience Requirements:
Minimum of five years of Electric Utility Power Delivery experience is required.
Minimum of five years field experience in Transmission is strongly preferred.
Field experiences as safety professional a plus.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Experience in Leadership role(s) is a plus.
Trainer experience is a plus.
Good oral and written communication skills are essential.
Demonstrated presentation skills are important.
Excellent relationship skills are required.
Credibility with employees and leadership is essential.
Involvement in safety committees and safety leadership activities preferred.
Human Performance knowledge and experience with Learning Events preferred.
Knowledge of Transmission work is required.
General knowledge of specifications and procedures is required.
Knowledge of OSHA Compliance Regulations is desired.
Prefer knowledge of accident prevention and incident investigation best practices.

~25% Overnight travel (varies by location)
Willing to work on call and OT as required.
Able to pass a DOT physical, background check and drug screen.
Proficient using computers, including Microsoft Office and other software.
OEM Training, certification and/or EGSA certification a plus.
