TheElectrification and Automation (EA) Business Unitoffers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing into our Future Grids portfolio and applications to create the power distribution grid of the future.

We are looking for a Warehouse Team Lead. This position will be based at our Wendell, NC location.

As a Team Lead, you will manage all aspects of receiving. Our Receiving Lead position requires basic warehousing skills. The preferred candidates would be responsible for all aspects of material handling. Candidates will be handling inbound materials, auditing, replenishment, and will also perform put-away and inventory tasks.

As the Warehouse Team Lead, you will:

  • Safely operates a stand-up reach truck, stand-up order picker, and sit-down forklift in high traffic areas and narrow aisles.

  • Efficient with small hand tools, battery, electrical, & air power tools.

  • Adhere to developed processes, methods and/or seek ways to improve.

  • Responsible for the accurate receipt of incoming materials, supplies, and products.

  • Receives goods, verifies items against the record of shipment, inspects condition, and files damage claims with carriers.

  • Records received items according to established procedures.

  • Maintain and manage inventory.

  • Ensure 5S+, 8 Wastes mitigation, and other Lean principles (VSM, Kaizens, Standard Work, etc) are applied in the team / area.

  • Empower team and actively takes part in the cleaning of equipment and work area to ensure proper functioning and safe working conditions.

  • Assist in training of new employees and requesting SAP system access required.

  • Drives Yard Jockey for backing up trailers to building for loading and offloading of materials as needed.

  • Performs other work as directed by the Warehouse Manager

You'll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience working in the receiving department of a manufacturing plant.

  • 3+ years' experience with Forklifts (Reach truck, sit down, Cherry pickers)

  • Must have a valid driver's license

  • Proficient in using SAP - ERP system and RF Devices.

  • Must be able to lift parts or sub-assemblies that weigh up to 50 lbs. occasionally

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and resolve conflict in a professional manner.

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing setting or a related position.

  • Mechanical aptitude

  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple duties/projects at one time

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 5S/6S

  • Problem solving (A3, 8D, etc)

Our Service Specialists perform assigned tasks on building automation systems, including service agreement maintenance, projects, and on-call (time and material) service. As a Service Specialist, *you will:* **

  • Execute digitalization and standard service operations strategies

  • Work with multiple internal service team members including Service Sales, Client Service Managers, Service Coordinators, and RAM Digital Service Center personnel

  • Follow safety requirements as outlined by Siemens and customers and successfully completes assigned training as outlined in the training path

  • Follow mandatory policies, procedures, and standards, may coordinate with contractors on job sites, maintains tools and test equipment

  • Support after hours during on-call rotation, responds to service calls (emergency and on-site) as assigned, performs repairs as directed on all automation system types

  • Be responsible for completing service ticket documentation per the policy, follow and maintain preventive maintenance schedules

  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation of services performed and generates reports within Siemens tools

  • Provide instructions to customer personnel regarding proper system operations and assists with training

  • Identify and reports system discrepancies, suggests system upgrade opportunities, and may assist in pricing of repairs and upgrades to existing agreement and performs system checkout and startup on projects

  • Work overtime when needed (Compressed schedule performance can be a factor and will require extended hours to meet commitments)

  • Work rotational on-call and/or minimal overnight travel

  • Participate in job site final walk and/or final completion for systems-to-service turnover on assigned jobs performs other duties as assigned

You will make an impact with these qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience installing and/or servicing HVAC/building automation controls or similar experience, such as with PLCs (for mid-level) and 5+ years experience installing and/or servicing HVAC/building automation controls (senior-level)

  • Must be able to gain access to federal facilities, which could include additional background checks per customer requirements

  • Ability and willingness to work in a variety of circumstances, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high lift equipment, working in ducts, crawl spaces, roofs, basements, above ceilings, and in various conditions

  • Must be able and willing to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet as well as carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

  • Ability and willingness to work overtime when needed

  • Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Leader for our Business Transformation Office. This role encompasses leadership of focused teams dedicated to back-office process improvement, workforce transformation, product security, and facilities enhancement, including a new microgrid project aimed at reducing Siemens' carbon footprint and achieving our aggressive sustainability targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive strategy for business excellence and back-office process improvement programs giving end to end visibility and enhanced automation of our digital tools supporting our engineering team to maximize quality and productivity

  • Oversee the development and execution of strategic workforce programs and initiatives aimed at defining the future need for roles, skills, and capabilities to enable our people development.

  • Analyze data, trends, and demographics and connect with business goals to enable informed workforce decisions for the short, mid, and long term.

  • Lead cross-functional teams to identify, design, and implement transformation projects.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align with our strategy and define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.

  • Support the EA leadership team's critical initiatives and drive target programs that improve overall leadership effectiveness and team engagement

  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project completion.

As a Service Specialist, *you will:* **

  • Execute digitalization and standard service operations strategies

Responsibilities working alongside current Specialists and Operations Supervisors:

  • Meet with the customers (for Service) to diagnose their HVAC/Building Automation, Fire/Life Safety, or Integrated Security electronic control system malfunctions and use your expertise to maintain, repair, or (for Solutions) install new equipment; commissioning if needed

  • Consult with our internal engineering and management team for discrepancies in our drawings or as problems arise

  • Interface with the customers: complete the service work documentation, assist them with training instructions needed for future ease-of-use, and (most importantly) recommend system enhancements providing a value-added partner relationship

We are looking for an IT Service Integrator to help us build and maintain the IT Infrastructure ecosystem used to support the Siemens Grid Software business. Responsibilities while working alongside current Energy Engineers, you will:

  • Review project specifications, drawings, and project-specific documents to establish an energy efficient solution for our customers

  • Support facility site visits and communicate basic design concepts with outside vendors, consultants, or Siemens Project Managers as it pertains to the scope of the FIMs (facility improvement measures)

  • Support preliminary and detailed facility audits to identify FIMs and/or opportunities

  • Take or supervise equipment measurements, data logging, and equipment trending necessary to develop energy savings opportunity

  • Directly work with Energy Services staff with building energy simulation programs or excel spreadsheet calculations to determine project energy savings as well as analyze operational costs to identify operational savings

  • Support the development of preliminary and final energy services proposals

  • Participate in client meetings and presentations

  • Rotate through other departments within the branch office to learn about how our branch organization operates

  • Attend virtual executive discussions and events with other interns to develop a sense of what a career at Siemens is all about

  • Majors: Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy/Sustainability and Built Environment, Computer Science, Business Administration

Our Building Automation Solutions Operations Supervisors lead a team of installation specialists and commissioning technicians responsible for new construction (Solutions) building automation systems. Why is this so important? As an Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for the overall success of our specialists and technicians by coordinating their activities for all installed projects, technical support programs, and time-and-materials (T&M) work, which will provide on-time delivery of contracts and ensure customer expectations are met.

As a Building Automation Solutions Operations Supervisor, you will:

  • Supervise, train, and mentor the System Specialist team; set goals, monitor performance, conduct employee review meetings, and schedule formal training and Guide and support the team on planning and managing construction projects through completion

  • Schedule and assign installation and commissioning tasks to the team and ensure schedules are maintained and projects proceed according to plans, job specifications, and cost estimates

  • Maintain and improve planned and booked margins for technical support programs

  • Direct and supervise the development and use of project plans in monitoring and controlling the execution of work and review customer feedback and ensure customer retention and account growth goals such as adds, extras, upgrades, and escalations are achieved

  • Maintain the relationships between sales, engineering, and executions teams so changes and discrepancies can be managed to minimize cost and delay throughout the estimating and execution phases of projects and accountable for the profit and loss of projects assigned to the operations team and serve as a local a Leader and customer representative for the operations team

  • Support project profitability through cost-containment procedures and processes and travel between branch locations as needed

  • Maintain excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or state-recognized GED

  • 5+ years of on-the-job experience with:

  • HVAC System Automation/Building Automation Controls including knowledge of design, startup, programming, integration, documentation, and commissioning

  • Training, mentoring, scheduling, and supervising employees responsible for building automation startup

  • Experience with Microsoft Office

  • Ability and willingness to travel 10%

  • Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations

The *Senior* Digital Deployment Specialist is responsible for deployment of assigned projects that are managed through the Zone Technical Center. As a Senior Digital Deployment Specialist, you will:

  • Gather all documents required to enable a functioning system, including product licensing, firmware, panel, and controller level databases. Provide all required technical files for third party system integrations and provides required testing protocol of all system components

  • Load programs to enable a functioning system including product licenses, firmware updates, panel programming, graphics, setting IP addresses, setting jumpers on all hardware, and properly applying labels to all materials

  • Test hardware loaded with software to ensure expected results, including I/O level testing, alarm messaging functioning as expected, and all third-party systems integrations. Perform quality assurance on the deployment package and turns over solution to field technical resources, turns over materials to project manager to get materials to jobsite and performs migrations from P2 to BACnet

  • Ensure customer expectations are met, resolve customer issues in a timely, effective, and professional manner, and update cloud-based project site with testing results and technical documents as required

  • Receive and track work via workflow management software (Wrike) as required and provide remote commissioning of panel and controller level logic when remote connectivity is in place

  • Act as a technical resource to all ZTC and field resources and must be able to perform all tasks

As a Senior Digital Deployment Specialist, you will:

  • Gather all documents required to enable a functioning system, including product licensing, firmware, panel, and controller level databases. Provide all required technical files for third party system integrations and provides required testing protocol of all system components

  • Load programs to enable a functioning system including product licenses, firmware updates, panel programming, graphics, setting IP addresses, setting jumpers on all hardware, and properly applying labels to all materials

  • Test hardware loaded with software to ensure expected results, including I/O level testing, alarm messaging functioning as expected, and all third-party systems integrations. Perform quality assurance on the deployment package and turns over solution to field technical resources, turns over materials to project manager to get materials to jobsite and performs migrations from P2 to BACnet

  • Ensure customer expectations are met, resolve customer issues in a timely, effective, and professional manner, and update cloud-based project site with testing results and technical documents as required

  • Receive and track work via workflow management software (Wrike) as required and provide remote commissioning of panel and controller level logic when remote connectivity is in place

  • Act as a technical resource to all ZTC and field resources and must be able to perform all tasks

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in business, finance, economics, or related field.

  • 2 plus years of experience in process improvement, pricing, sales, or marketing of Construction / Industrial products.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; Microsoft Access database knowledge.

  • Must be eligible to work in the US with no sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Degree.

  • Strong analytical and qualitative skills with ability to analyze, filter, and organize data to present different scenarios and recommendations.

  • Ability to coordinate and organize information from various internal and external sources to support research, development, and execution of projects on time.

  • Willing to challenge the status quo and facilitating change in the organization.

  • Adaptable and flexible to change. Positively responds to changes in direction, unexpected circumstances, and ambiguous situations.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate complex topics in an easy-to-understand manner.

  • Solid process mindset with ability to drive to solutions.

  • Knowledge of sales process, channels to market, and competition.

  • Self-starter with solid organizational and time management skills.

  • Strong teamwork and teambuilding skills.

  • Ability to work in a dynamic and flexible environment.

The pay range for this position is $58,500 - $100,400. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
