Serco supports the acquisition and sustainment of numerous NAVSEA Programs. Our team provide engineering and professional support services across most shipbuilding programs. You will be part of a team that works closely with the customer and other Serco divisions to deliver quality support. In this role, you will:
Installs and maintains complex networks that typically link numerous computing platforms, operating systems, and network topologies.
Evaluates hardware and software suitable for large, complex networks. Tests and implements interface programs. Develops security procedures.
Manages network performance.
Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems to ensure minimal disruption of mission-critical applications. Maintains software inventory and network licensing information, performing updates when necessary.
Keeps current with all software patches and security alerts, applying solutions as necessary.
Maintains fault tolerant systems and manages systems backups. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
Modifies network account profiles.
Responsible for local network administration, including domain controllers, file servers, proxies, backups and local network connectivity.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Bachelor's Degree in relevant field and a minimum of 4 years of network engineering and experience.
Navy IT installation and maintenance experience.
SECRET security clearance is required.
Travel may be required up to 10%.

In this role, you will:
Provides integrated logistics support (ILS) to NSWC DD DNA in support of Integrated Training Systems Installation and Sustainment (ITSIS).
Support the rapid transition from the current logistics data systems for configuration management, provisioning, readiness modeling, and technical data management to modernized logistics information technology systems.
Provides support for maintenance, inspection, test, training, repair actions, and inventory management. This includes but is not limited to storage requests, receipts, issues of inventory in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), including DD1149 creation and access to ERP-based Weapons System Files; inventory control; packaging and shipping of repair parts, and disposal of excess equipment associated with training systems utilizing the Defense Logistics Agency Disposition Service.
Generates and revise logistics forecasts and management plans to conform to significant program events or milestones from program initiation through life cycle support including Milestone Decisions.
The Contractor shall be proficient with Integrated Product Data Management (iPDM) web application to maintain the shore-site configurations, document repository, spares, obsolescence tracking, part failures, and other areas associated with shore-site maintenance.
Monitors fielding plans for scheduled and future installations to ensure all Installation Checkout (INCO) kits are completed and meet the scheduled delivery date, review Field Change Instructions to support retrofit requirements, maintain the Training Systems Alteration Record (TSAR), and respond to fleet requests for material or technical assistance.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in logistics or business management discipline.
SECRET security clearance is required.
Proficiency in logistics analysis is required.
Must possess familiarity with MS-Office software to include MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, and MS Power Point.
Travel may be required up to 10%.

Navy waterfront ILS experience is desired.

Provides knowledge, skills, and abilities to effectively conduct a range of complex shipboard and shore-site training system fleet support efforts and troubleshooting and repairs to minimize system downtime and resolve CASREPs. Fleet support and technical assistance efforts may be conducted through various methods including, distance support, onsite support in all fleet concentration areas and underway as required.
Participates in shipboard and shore-site installation meetings and support the development of hardware and software installation plans, parts lists, installation instructions, checkout plans, test procedures, and drawings as required to complete shipboard and shore-site installations.
Reviews and comment on installation standards and practices; examine installation design and physical layout for reliability, ease of maintenance, and suitability to perform equipment and system operational performance requirements; and develop corrective modifications and alterations.
Assists with installing hardware and software systems and repairing wiring, fixtures, and equipment for all services aboard ship and in laboratory facilities, following blueprints and diagrams under direction of supervisor.
Provides support to test, evaluation, verification, and validation events, test documentation preparation, test planning, requirements traceability analysis, data management, analysis plan preparation, and test scenario development.
Perform modifications as required including, but not limited to space modifications, the installation and sustainment of infrastructures such as hardware, foundations, cabling (copper and fiber optic), connector installation, false decking and overhead, deck covering, IT Systems, electrical, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and electronic cooling water piping.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Requires a High School Diploma or GED and 2 years experience in the maritime industry.
Must Possess U.S. citizenship.
SECRET security clearance is required.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:

Team Submarine's Submarine Program Offices are responsible for:
The acquisition of the OHIO Class replacement and for identifying, assembling, managing, directing, and coordinating the resources required for the R&D, design, construction, Test and Evaluation (T&E) and Live Fire Test and Evaluation (LFT&E) of the COLUMBIA Class. The program is a major defense acquisition program and is of significant political importance with Congress and the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD).
The acquisition of New Construction Submarines and for identifying, assembling, managing, directing, and coordinating the resources required for the R&D, design, construction, Test and Evaluation (T&E), Live Fire Test and Evaluation (LFT&E), and Fleet introduction of the U.S. Navy's newest class of nuclear attack submarines. The program is a major defense acquisition program with a total life cycle cost of approximately $336B. Additionally, successful improvement of the Class's capabilities is of significant political importance with Congress and the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD).
The SSN(X) Office is responsible for the acquisitionand design of the future fast attack submarine and for identifying, assembling, managing, directing, and coordinating the resources required for the R&D, design, construction, Test and Evaluation (T&E) and Live Fire Test and Evaluation (LFT&E) of the future submarine. The future Attack Submarine will be designed to retain multi-mission capability and sustained combat presence in denied waters with a focus on greater speed, stealth, and horizontal payloads and salvo rates.

Serco-NA is seeking a motivated engineer to provide engineering and programmatic support to one of our customers with the U.S. Navy in the Washington, DC area.
The Engineering Support role is responsible for design, development, and testing of all facets of the support process with a focus on machines, software, part design and analysis, and support techniques.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Be an active contributor within a team of engineers who perform the design, development, and testing of all facets of the support process using powder-bed and powder-fed approaches.
Generate optimized build files to produce high quality parts in minimum time with maximum consistency.
Work with other engineers to help refine the design of existing parts and optimize new parts to leverage support technology.
Work with Materials Engineers to investigate properties, geometric accuracy, and surface finish results to develop optimal print parameters, heat treatments, and design allowables for existing and new alloys.
Work interdisciplinary trades on processes that result in optimal support part production.
After hardware is produced, communicate results and feedback to Responsible Engineers to continuously develop and improve hardware production.
Produce reports, procedures, and manuals to document results to mature development processes for production.
Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
A current or active DoD Secret clearance, or the ability to obtain an active DoD Secret clearance.
A Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or other engineering discipline.
Five to seven years of experience in propulsion component design.
MS Microsoft skills are essential, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
You must have the ability to work both in a team environment and independently, and often under short, multiple deadlines.
10% travel required.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Master's degree in aeronautical, astronautical, or mechanical engineering.
Work experience in the Navy and specifically within Team Submarine or on-board submarines is a plus.
Experience with operating support machines, including parameter development and process control.
Experience with support simulation software.
Experience with topology optimization software.
Knowledge of various support and subtractive manufacturing and joining techniques for metals.
Solid understanding of optics and lasers
Familiarity with common engineering materials properties (strength, life, thermal, fluid compatibility etc.) and processing attributes particularly for titanium or nickel-based alloys.
Experience with detailed design and operation of propulsion fluid components (e.g., valves).
Experience with setting up and running multifactorial design of experiments (DOE's).
Ability to perform trade studies using first principles and engineering fundamentals.
Proficient in basic principles of compressible and incompressible flow, thermodynamics, thermochemistry, mechanics, materials, and electrical circuits.
Experience with Finite Element Modeling and Postprocessing (FEMAP), Analysis System (ANSYS), and similar structural analysis software tools.
Hands-on experience with aerospace component or fluid system testing, including pressure, hot-fire, and environmental testing.

Our Program Analyst, located in Crystal City, Arlington, VA, provides program management support to the International Directorate (ID) (which includes F-35 Partner Nations and Foreign Military Sales) to ensure ID integration throughout the F-35 enterprise and to ensure the delivery of 5th Generation combat capability to the Warfighters in support of coalition operations.
You will be part of a dynamic team of F-35 JPO Program Analysts and Program/Project Managers who works closely with the customer and other key F-35 National Security and Allied stakeholders to deliver quality F-35 systems.
In this role, you will:
Assist ID in facilitating the programs of two types of countries associated with the F-35 program: -Partners- (also referred to as -Participant-), -who are signatories to the JSF Production, Sustainment and Follow-on Development Memorandum of Understanding (JSF PSFD MOU), and -FMS Customers,- which have a signed Letters of Requests (LORs) and Letters of Offer and Acceptance (LOAs) for purchasing aircraft, related material, and services.
Assist ID in supporting National Deputies and their assistants in representing each of the F-35 Partner nations resident in P&F.
Assist ID in supporting Service Deputies and their assistants in representing each of the F-35 US Services resident in P&F.
Assist the USG Program Manager (PM) in representing each FMS customer and managing the F-35 LOA that is the foundation of each FMS country's F-35 program.
Assist FMS PMs, Service Deputies and USG Partner country managers in leading USG activities and Program Management Reviews (PMRs) for each country in the F-35 Program to ensure each program remains on track.
Assist the New Business team within ID, in conjunction with industry and other USG security cooperation entities, in providing and coordinating F-35 information to countries considering acquiring the F-35, and in assisting in the USG effort to build a LOA for aircraft acquisition.

Ability to operate personal computers and have good knowledge and operational abilities with Microsoft Office tools.
Ability to support activities in a shipyard or naval facility. Some work may occur within an industrial field office, outdoors and/or aboard ship while the ship is undergoing construction, alteration, activation, overhaul, repair, and/or underway trials. Walking and climbing throughout the ship, to accomplish ship checks, may be required. Exposure to high noise levels, uncomfortable temperatures, heights, or other industrial safety conditions will require use of personal protective clothing and equipment.

In this entry level Marine Welder role, you will:
Interpret specifications, drawings, blueprints, shop job orders and, process sheets.
Use a variety of ARC and gas welding equipment to fabricate or repair products such as foundations, cable collars, cable/pipe/vent hangers, cable tubes penetrations, studs, etc.
Work on-board U.S. Naval Ships and military installations in an area that is somewhat uncomfortable due to drafts, noise, temperature variation and the like and with equipment where carelessness would probably result in minor cuts, bruises, muscle strains, serious injury, or death.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
The ability to obtain a Secret clearance after hire.
The ability to obtain and gain access to shipyards (NAVSTA & DBIDS), undergo a background investigation and pass a drug screening.
A Welding Degree or Certificate.
1 or more years of direct welding experience
The ability to successful complete qualification in the following Serco Welding Procedures within 30 calendar days of starting date: 1) Pass 3 positions in SMAW steel qualification. 2) Must successfully pass 3 positions in FCAW steel qualification.
The ability to be respirator qualified and wear proper PPE throughout their work shift.
Familiarization with NAVSEA, standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of electrical repair, fabrication, and installation.
Your own tools of the trade and able to pass precertification company weld test.
The ability to work in high heat spaces, climb shipyard dry dock stairs/ladders, work in kneeling position for layout of cable runs under false decking, lift 50 pounds with 80% of work requiring carrying, pushing, and/or pulling up to 40 pounds for majority of shift while being in a standing, crouching, or walking position.
The ability to pay attention to safety (which is critical).
Be willing to travel up to 10% to various work sites.
The ability to travel to Newport News, VA.

Air Traffic Managers must be familiar with standard Air Traffic Control (ATC) concepts, practices, and procedures. A manager must rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. As an Air Traffic Manager, you can expect to:
Report to the Area Manager
Supervise air traffic control tower personnel
Manage training requirements

Complete and submit recurring reports
Complete/support compliance verification audits
Review facility directives and procedures for compliance and adherence
Collaborate with the public, airport personnel and FAA management
Air Traffic Managers must also function as Air Traffic Control Specialists (ATCS) by controlling air traffic on and within the vicinity of the airport according to established procedures and policies to prevent collisions and minimize delays arising from traffic congestion. ATCS's are responsible for the safe, orderly and expeditious movement of air traffic through the nation's airspace.
As a member of the Air Traffic Control team, you can expect to:

Issue landing/takeoff instructions
Issue information such as runway usage, wind velocity/direction, visibility, taxiing instructions, and pertinent data on other aircraft operating in vicinity
Issue air traffic clearances
Perform critical weather observations as a Limited Aviation Weather Reporting Station (LAWRS) observer, and to disseminate timely weather information to pilots, other air traffic control facilities and other users of the National Airspace System.
Transfer and receive control of aircraft
Operate equipment such as: radios, telephones, interphones, computer systems, radar, recording systems, weather equipment, light guns, airport/runway lighting systems, backup equipment, etc.
Alert Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighters and other first responders to aircraft experiencing emergency situations

Qualifications
Requirements to join the team:
US Citizenship
An FAA Second Class Medical Certificate
Minimum 5 years' experience as an air traffic controller with a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience preferred.
A Control Tower Operator (CTO) rating or a Credential with a Tower Rating and 6 months of practical experience in accordance with 14 CFR Part 65.39

Air Traffic Control Specialists (ATCS) control air traffic on and within the vicinity of the airport according to established procedures and policies to prevent collisions and minimize delays arising from traffic congestion. As a member of the Air Traffic Control team, you can expect to:
Answer radio calls from arriving/departing aircraft
Issue landing/takeoff instructions
Issue information such as runway usage, wind velocity/direction, visibility, taxiing instructions, and pertinent data on other aircraft operating in vicinity
Issue air traffic clearances
Perform critical weather observations as a Limited Aviation Weather Reporting Station (LAWRS) observer, and to disseminate timely weather information to pilots, other air traffic control facilities and other users of the National Airspace System.
Transfer and receive control of aircraft
Operate equipment such as: radios, telephones, interphones, computer systems, radar, recording systems, weather equipment, light guns, airport/runway lighting systems, backup equipment, etc.
Alert Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighters and other first responders to aircraft experiencing emergency situations
Coordinate with and issue instructions to airport vehicles/personnel
Maintain and disseminate records of daily operations
Perform on-the-job training instructor duties as required
Qualifications

An FAA Second Class Medical Certificate
A Control Tower Operator (CTO) rating or a Credential with a Tower Rating and 6 months of practical experience in accordance with 14 CFR Part 65.39
