JOIN OUR TEAM to assist and prepare over 200,000 Servicemen and women who separate annually from the United States Military begin a new life chapter as a civilian. Many of those who separate from the military have transition plans while others find becoming a civilian a daunting task. The Department of Labor (DOL) Veterans' Employment and Training Service (VETS) program requires contractor services to support these transitioning Servicemen and women through its highly successful Transition Assistance Program (TAP) that is offered world-wide to conduct job assistance workshops, employment counseling, apprenticeship program placements and employer outreach.
In this role, you will:
Teaching and/or instructing Military personnel transition to civilian professional and vocational occupations.
Guide the transitioning Military Servicemembers in identifying goals while also assisting them with recognizing any employment or education gaps.
Organize and able to manage an office.
Providing transitioning Servicemembers (Active, Reserve, National Guard), family members, and Veterans a comprehensive understanding of preparing for civilian employment, job searching, job application processes, networking, technical training opportunities, credentialing, and assistance in preparing for civilian employment and participation in technical programs and schools; and, who can conduct large group instruction and provide counseling on the job search process.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A High School Diploma.
3+ years of experience as a professional trainer or facilitator.
Experience which demonstrates understanding of private and public sector employment processes.
Experience as a classroom instructor.
Must be knowledgeable of the workplace, jobs, and requirement for entry into those jobs.
Must demonstrate the ability to provide training to groups with up to 50 participants: individual career counseling experience.
Proficient in MS Windows and Office.
The ability to communicate effectively with Military clients, be comfortable instructing and speaking in front of a group, be observant of others, possess the ability to engage an audience, and respond to inquiries independently.
Must be able to travel as requested.
May require extended hours, including weekdays, weekends, and some holidays, and be willing to perform administrative functions for the office.
Must have excellent time management skills, able to work independently, and able to respond to inquiries.
Additional desired experience and skills:
An Associate's degree.
Prior experience providing Military Servicemembers (Active, Reserve, National Guard), family members, and Veterans a comprehensive understanding of preparing for civilian employment, job searching, job application processes, networking, technical training opportunities, credentialing, and assistance in preparing for civilian employment and participation in technical programs and schools.

The Employment Resource Coordinator (ERC) supports veteran, National Guard, and Reserve Service members and their spouses' civilian employment through education and support services. The ERC will support the Off-Base Transition Training (OBTT) program efforts by assisting with Memoranda of Agreements and coordination of Brick and Mortar (B/M) employment workshops at select locations other than active military installations.
In this role, you will:
May coordinate virtual workshops.
A high level of coordination in addition to excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
Must be able to listen to OBTT participants and assist them in identifying and prioritizing their needs.
Provides screening and referral services and identify and utilize a network of local, regional, and state resources for employment and employment readiness.
Serve as the point of contact for activities in their assigned area of responsibility for all stakeholders, including those from the Department of Veterans' Affairs, Department of Defense, Department of Labor, State Adjutant General offices, American Job Centers, DOL VETS State Directors, and more.
Manages supplies, instructional materials, and office equipment and prepares periodic reports.
Ability to work extended hours, including weekdays, weekends, and some holidays, may be required to address emerging requirements under changing and constrained timelines.
Must be able to communicate effectively, be comfortable instructing and speaking in front of a group, be observant of others, possess the ability to engage an audience, and respond to inquiries independently.
Possess excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently on client site and remotely.

Qualifications

5 years of experience assisting veterans, service members, and/or spouses in the workplace.

Air Traffic Control Specialists (ATCS) control air traffic on and within the vicinity of the airport according to established procedures and policies to prevent collisions and minimize delays arising from traffic congestion. Answering radio calls from arriving and departing aircraft.
Issuing landing/takeoff instructions.

Issuing air traffic clearances.
Providing advice based on their own observations and information from the National Weather - Service, IFR control facilities, flight service stations, pilots, and other sources.
Taking and disseminating weather observations at Limited Aviation Weather Reporting Station (LAWRS) or Supplemental Aviation Weather Reporting Station (SAWRS) facilities.
Transferring control to receiving facilities when aircraft leave their airspace and receiving control of aircraft coming into their airspace.
Operating various types of equipment such as: radios, telephones, interphones, computer systems, radar, recording systems, weather equipment, light guns, airport/runway lighting systems, and backup equipment.
Alerting airport emergency crews and other designated personnel when aircraft are having flight difficulties.

Review, self-check and check other employees drawings to ensure quality and standards are met.
Familiarity with SIPH (Shore Installation Process Handbook) is preferred.
Have competence in the use of MS Outlook, Word and Excel and familiarity working in a networked PC environment.

Serco Inc. is a federal government contractor that provides air traffic control services at Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Contract Towers (FCTs), Non-Federal Contract Towers (NFCT), Remote Air Traffic Control Towers and Ramp Control Services in 11 western states.
Air Traffic Control Specialists (ATCS) control air traffic on and within the vicinity of the airport according to established procedures and policies to prevent collisions and minimize delays arising from traffic congestion. They are responsible for the safe, orderly and expeditious movement of air traffic through the nation's airspace. ATCS duties include:
Answering radio calls from arriving and departing aircraft.
Issuing landing/takeoff instructions.
Issuing information such as runway to use, wind velocity and direction, visibility, taxiing instructions, and pertinent data on other aircraft operating in vicinity.
Issuing air traffic clearances.
Providing advice based on their own observations and information from the National Weather - Service, IFR control facilities, flight service stations, pilots, and other sources.
Taking and disseminating weather observations at Limited Aviation Weather Reporting Station (LAWRS) or Supplemental Aviation Weather Reporting Station (SAWRS) facilities.
Transferring control to receiving facilities when aircraft leave their airspace and receiving control of aircraft coming into their airspace.
Operating various types of equipment such as: radios, telephones, interphones, computer systems, radar, recording systems, weather equipment, light guns, airport/runway lighting systems, and backup equipment.
Alerting airport emergency crews and other designated personnel when aircraft are having flight difficulties.
Coordinating with and issuing instructions to airport vehicles and personnel.
Maintaining and disseminating records of daily operations

In this USAFCENT Judge Advocate Administrator role, you will:

In this role, you will:
Teaching and/or instructing Military personnel transition to civilian professional and vocational occupations.
Guide the transitioning Military Servicemembers in identifying goals while also assisting them with recognizing any employment or education gaps.
Organize and able to manage an office.
Providing transitioning Servicemembers (Active, Reserve, National Guard), family members, and Veterans a comprehensive understanding of preparing for civilian employment, job searching, job application processes, networking, technical training opportunities, credentialing, and assistance in preparing for civilian employment and participation in technical programs and schools; and, who can conduct large group instruction and provide counseling on the job search process.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A High School Diploma.
3+ years of experience as a professional trainer or facilitator.
Experience which demonstrates understanding of private and public sector employment processes.
Experience as a classroom instructor.
Must be knowledgeable of the workplace, jobs, and requirement for entry into those jobs.
Must demonstrate the ability to provide training to groups with up to 50 participants: individual career counseling experience.
Proficient in MS Windows and Office.
The ability to communicate effectively with Military clients, be comfortable instructing and speaking in front of a group, be observant of others, possess the ability to engage an audience, and respond to inquiries independently.
Must be able to travel as requested.

PHOP workers provide behavioral health screenings, referral service support and outreach to Reservists, and their family members as well as consultation to Home Training Center (HTC) and Naval Operational Support Center (NOSC) leaders. This position is a hybrid serving both USNR and USMFR.
In this role, you will:
Conduct behavioral health screenings with Reservists and eligible Family Members to determine current psychological health needs.
Link at Reservists and their Family Members to -good fit services- based on identified needs.
Maintain accurate and timely case notes to document all service encounters.
Prepare outreach materials such as flyers, brochures and newsletters to educate clients on a wide spectrum of psychological health topics and resources.
Provide briefings and consultation to Reservists, Family Members and high-level military leaders.
Attend Meetings as required/requested, including staff meetings, training workshops and community meetings.
Coordinate with regional site lead and team members to ensure all program data required for reporting purposes is provided in a timely manner.
Travel one to two times a month on weekends to various HTCs and NOSCs throughout the region.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role:

Electronic & Video Surveillance Engineering Technician I - Travel Required

The Electronic Surveillance System (ESS) Shore Team specializes in installing Access Control Systems (ACS), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Video Surveillance Systems (VSS) and many more, on various Military bases. The Electronic & Video Surveillance Engineering Technician I performs simple routine tasks under close supervision or from detailed procedures. Work is checked in progress or on completion.
Performs one or a combination of such typical duties as assembles or installs equipment or parts requiring simple wiring, soldering, or connecting.
Performs simple or routine tasks or tests such astensile or hardness tests; operates and adjusts simple test equipment; records test data.
Gathers and maintains specified records of engineering data such as tests, drawings, etc.
Performs computations by substituting numbers in specified formulas; plots data and draws simple curves and graphs.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have the following:
Requires a High School diploma and 1-2 years electronic security systems (ESS)
Capable of pulling cable through conduit, routing through J hooks and in installing cabling in plenum spaces and overhead cableways.
Some experience using computers for data tracking and documentation (spreadsheet, word processing tools)
With supervision can use specialized tools for any of the following: (Terminate Cat 5 / 6 with RJ45's, bend conduit, Thread conduit, Glow rod's, fish tape, crimp, solder)
Fundamental understanding for reading installation drawings, Technical manuals and with minimal supervision can follow design documents for system installation and or upgrade functions.

Your experience in in Army tactical communications, radio installation and maintenance, and troubleshooting is needed to solve technical and policy challenges facing tactical radio communications systems for the Army's current and future forces.
Serco will support the US Army Program Executive Office: Command, Control and Communications-Tactical (PEO C3T) and the global warfighter C5ISR support plan.You will lead radio update and installations and manage all installers on a given site and will ensure that all installs are completed to specification and on schedule for Project Manager Tactical Radio (PM TR), Readiness Management Division (RMD), and the constituent Product Offices with Material Fielding, Integrated Product Support, Platform Integration, New Equipment Training and Field Support services.In this role, you will:
Be responsible for review of radios and maintaining baseline (in coordination with TR engineers) of all TR installation technical drawings
Serve as an expert for providing technical guidance and information to meet requirements
Be responsible for independently designing, modifying, and constructing electronic and electro-mechanical instrumentation used in performance measurements on test and evaluation projects
Design criteria is not always standardized or well established and/or improving and updating circuit elements/equipment in order to incorporate new advances where existing technical data is not always adequate may be the objective
Be responsible for troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance of C5ISR equipment as appropriate for the task
Distinguish between hardware and software problems in multi-vendor systems
Perform fielding, installation, operations, test, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, over the shoulder training, exercise and test support and maintenance
Provide expert technical direction and guidance to lower level technicians

Position Description
If you love high profile and challenging programing projects supporting the US Navy- Serco has a great opportunity for you! You will be testing equipment and machinery for Unmanned Underwater and Surface Vehicles (UUV/USV) operations in our Maritime Engineering, Technology and Sustainment (METS) team providing primary support to Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) in San Diego, CA. This position supports a broad portfolio of Autonomous Maritime System (AMS) programs onboard a fast-growing local team.
This position is contingent upon your ability to obtain and maintain your Secret clearance. This position is also contingent upon award of contract.
The Vessel Operations Lead will oversee a team that operates and maintains boats in support of Navy operations, integration, and test for Unmanned Maritime Vehicles (UMV). You will be responcible for the captains who, launch, and recover vessels, transport vessels using Govt. vehicle, conduct pre-operation and preventative maintenance checks on vessels and trailers, conduct vessel maintenance, and vessel troubleshooting and repairs. This position has a great potential for growth into more responsibility and senior roles within an expanding work team.
In this role, you will:
Installs, operates, maintains, repairs and modifies equipment
Performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations
Analyzes and evaluates products and related performance
Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to eliminate problem in minimum time
Installs, upgrades and removes products ensuring coordinative engineering field change. Maintains effective customer communications, relations, and provides onsite training
Transport vessels using government vehicles from Serco facilities to various launch locations on and off NIWC PAC.
Collaborate with operational levels of specific customers and company management.
Provide on-going technical assistance to managers and Government customers.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds to assist with project requirements.
Must be able to support land and marine based testing in austere environments if required.
Must be flexible and able to adjust to shifting customer needs.
Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management. Must be continuously flexible to changing requirements.
Qualifications
To be successful in the role, you will have:
High School Diploma with a minimum of 4 years of related experience or an Associates Degree with 2 years or technical degree in related discipline and 1 year of related experience.
Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret level clearance post-employment. An active clearance is highly preferred.
6 years demonstrated experience holding a boat coxswain or captain qualification from a military or civilian source
Shall complete all prerequisites for, and successfully maintain, a SSCPAC Coxswain Designation letter signed by SSCPAC Commanding Officer; prerequisites shall be completed within 30 days of contract award
Shall become qualified in operating Mk-18 system equipment, including Zodiac 11M twin jet drive RHIB, 38' Northwind outboard RHIB, 27' outboard Boston Whaler and F580 Combat Rubber Raiding Craft (CRRC), within 60 days of contract award
6 years of demonstrated experience in maintaining 400hp or larger diesel engines, Hamilton jet drives, and RHIB sponson repair
6 years of demonstrated experience maintaining engine logs, completing equipment performance reports, and maintaining equipment, spares and parts inventories
6 years conducting routine operational and preventive maintenance (oils, fluids, filters changed), performing advanced troubleshooting and maintenance, to include replacing parts, ordering parts and handling hazardous material

In this role, you will:
Serve as technical advisor/instructor/team leader applying an intensive practical knowledge of PEO C3T training devices, electronics, and networks to those who will be using and supporting such items
Lead the development of training materials and conducts classes in proper operation and maintenance procedures to PEO C3T programs and various agencies within the Department of Defense
Provide resident and on-site technical assistance and training (both platform and hands-on) in the operation and maintenance of assigned systems and associate items to gaining audits/installations in/from CONUS and OCONUS locations
Serve as the expert in training students in tasks required to test-operate, align, repair, service, and fault-isolate / troubleshoot the particular system to the lowest-replaceable units
Interpret and articulate signal analysis, schematic diagram analysis, block diagrams, and wiring diagrams
Inform students of the complete objective purpose of the lesson while maintaining motivation and interest throughout the entire classroom instruction
Instruct on the theory of operation along with Operation of the complete system to include electronics, computer programming, and analysis of malfunction reports, system trouble shooting, and repair up to depot level
Conduct training courses with a professional understanding of the principals of learning and teaching methods, and be able to demonstrate their ability to apply principles and methods
Provide responses and answers to questions/problems from the field
Identify the best approach training requirements, to include, but not limited to, hardware, software, simulations, course assessment and refreshment, assessment centers, oral examination, interviews, computer assisted and adaptive testing, behavior based assessment and performance, team and unit assessment and measurement
