Position Description
Serco is looking for an Advanced Marine Welder team member to join a high-profile and challenging project supporting the US Navy. The Advanced Marine Welder will be on a dynamic team, supporting our C5ISR system installations. Bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact towards our military defense and safety of our Sailors.
You will be part of a team that works closely with the customer and other Serco team members to deliver high technology performed onboard U.S. Naval Ships and military installations.
In this role, you will:
Interpret specifications, drawings, blueprints, shop job orders and, process sheets.
Use a variety of ARC and gas welding equipment to fabricate or repair products such as foundations, cable collars, cable/pipe/vent hangers, cable tubes penetrations, studs, etc.
Perform related task such as thermal cutting (PLASMA or TORCH) and grinding.
Have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
Assign work to qualified personnel.
Train new shop personnel on machinery, tools and test equipment required for quality construction of products.
Work onboard U.S. Naval Ships and military installations in an area that is somewhat uncomfortable due to drafts, noise, temperature variation and the like and with equipment where carelessness would probably result in minor cuts, bruises, muscle strains, serious injury, or death.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will:
A High School Diploma or equivalent and 5-7 years of AIT experience.
Be familiar with NAVSEA, standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of electrical repair, fabrication, and installation.
Get respirator qualified and wear proper PPE throughout their work shift.
Have own tools of the trade and able to pass precertification company weld test.
Must complete successful qualification in the following Serco Welding Procedures within 30 calendar days of starting date: Serco-001 (GMAW, Aluminum - 4 position), Serco-002 (SMAW, HY100-4 position), Serco-003 (GMAW, Aluminum - 4 position), Serco-007 (SMAW, C/S to S/S - 4 position), and Serco-012 (SMAW, S/S to S/S - 4 position).
Candidate must be willing to travel up to 50% to various work sites.
Must be able to work in high heat spaces, climb shipyard dry dock stairs/ladders, work in kneeling position for layout of cable runs under false decking, lift 50 pounds with 80% of work requiring carrying, pushing, and/or pulling up to 40 pounds for majority of shift while being in a standing, crouching, or walking position.
Attention to safety critical.
This position supports a U.S. Government Contract whose terms require Serco to staff it only with U.S. Citizens, be able to obtain gain access to shipyards (NAVSTA & DBIDS), undergo a background investigation and pass a drug screening.

Have an OSHA 10 certification or able to obtain the certification.
Be able to use power tools, assembling both large scale and intricate mechanical assemblies.
Demonstrate the ability to working with blueprints, assembly drawings and sketches in completing a wide variety of assembly and subassembly tasks.
Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within this field.
Experience in the fabrication and precision assembly of various mechanical assemblies.
Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, and smooth surfaces using hand tools.
Weld, solder, bolt, rivet, screw, clip, caulk or bond component parts to assemble products.
Applicant must be able to get respirator qualified and wear proper PPE throughout their work shift.
Applicant must be willing to work second, or thirds shift as needed and willing to work more than 40 hours work weeks.

Serco is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to provide business financial management support to the Amphibious Warfare Program Office SSC Landing Craft Division in Washington DC. The Business Financial Management (BFM) team supports PMS 407. In this role, you will support the BFM team in preparing and tracking funding documents, tracking obligations and expenditures, preparing Task Planning Sheets, assist in budget preparation and developing briefs, monthly financial status reports and correspondence.
You will be a part of a nice size team that works closely with our Customer and other Serco teams to deliver quality systems. You will be working closely with the customer in delivering quality products and services to the Principal Manager. This team has been recognized by the Navy and the industry for their outstanding contributions to the contract and program.
In this role you will:
Provide Business and Financial Management Support to PMS 407.
Use data from U.S. Navy databases including COBRA, ERP, NEPS, and PBIS to budget, execute, and report PMS 407 Program data.
Use VBA, macros, and pivot tables to prepare ad hoc reports of PMS 407 budget and execution status.
Prepare ledger reports.
Draft Task Planning Sheets and Reallocation Notices.
Draft funding documents to provide funding to other government activities and contractors.
Develops documentation, reports, and project plans and prepares and may present briefings and staff seminars.
Prepare funding requests based on requirements review and customer interface. Monitors funding requests until funding is received. Monitors expenditures to identify potential benchmark shortfalls.
Utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Database.
Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
An Active DoD Govt Issued Secret Clearance is required.
In some cases Clearance requirements may be adjusted and sponsorship may be considered for prior DoD or Navy experiencee.
Bachelor's degree in related discipline plus 5 to 7 years of directly related experience preferably in a government financial environment.
Educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 7 years applicable work experience.
Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience
Additional desired experience and skills:
Hands-on experience using Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) highly desired.
Experience working in or with a government budget office is highly desired.
Experience as member of Navy Program contractor team a plus.
Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Computer literate and proficiency in Microsoft applications.

Serco supports the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD) by operating the free MAP patrol and incident management service program providing safe, quick clearance of incidents that affect traffic, including vehicle accidents and disabled vehicles. The primary purpose of the MAP program is to ensure state highways are free of obstructions and safe for the traveling public.
You will be part of a team that works closely with LADOTD, local law enforcement and other first responders daily.
In this role you will:
Monitor state highways for vehicle crashes, disabled/abandoned vehicles, debris, and lane-closing events, traffic signal malfunctions, damage to state equipment on state roadways, and general incident/congestion scenarios.
Provide roadside assistance to stranded motorists (including changing tires, giving battery jumps, providing fuel, removing debris from the travel lanes, etc.).
Work closely with police and other first responders at highway incidents.
Provide incident response, on-scene traffic control and limited first aid.
Provide Traffic Incident Management (TIM) services.
Use a two-way radio and/or smart phone to communicate and coordinate with the Traffic Management Center (TMC) staff and local Police agencies.
Observe required safety procedures to avoid injury and accidents, at all times.
Complete a combination of classroom and field training to be certified as a motorist assistance operator.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will have:
High school diploma or its equivalent

Must possess a valid Louisiana driver's license
Availability to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications

Serco supports the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD) by operating the free MAP patrol and incident management service program providing safe, quick clearance of incidents that affect traffic, including vehicle accidents and disabled vehicles. The primary purpose of the MAP program is to ensure state highways are free of obstructions and safe for the traveling public.
You will be part of a team that works closely with LADOTD, local law enforcement and other first responders daily.
In this role you will:
Monitor state highways for vehicle crashes, disabled/abandoned vehicles, debris, and lane-closing events, traffic signal malfunctions, damage to state equipment on state roadways, and general incident/congestion scenarios.
Provide roadside assistance to stranded motorists (including changing tires, giving battery jumps, providing fuel, removing debris from the travel lanes, etc.).
Work closely with police and other first responders at highway incidents.
Provide incident response, on-scene traffic control and limited first aid .
Provide Traffic Incident Management (TIM) services.
Use a two-way radio and/or smart phone to communicate and coordinate with the Traffic Management Center (TMC) staff and local Police agencies.
Observe required safety procedures to avoid injury and accidents, at all times.
Complete a combination of classroom and field training to be certified as a motorist assistance operator.
Qualifications

This position will be overseeing the consolidated financial reporting process to ensure timeliness and accuracy of the financial reports submitted to its parent, Serco plc (a London Stock Exchange listed company) on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
You will be responsible to support the Controller's organization in identifying accounting issues and providing advice to management; participating in implementation efforts for new accounting standards, interfacing with various internal and external auditors on a routine basis; and other special projects as needs arise; reviewing merger, acquisition and divestiture transactions, and providing accounting due diligence support for M&A and divestitures.
In this role you will also be responsible for internal controls and business continuity documentation and implementation as it relates to the financial reporting processes. Key attributes we

The selected individual is willing to research and learn new and updated accounting standards to support the Controller's organization in the preparation of the financial reports consistent with the applicable ASC and IFRS accounting rules.
Primary Responsibilities:
The selected individual will be expected to perform and direct the following:Collaborate effectively with the Group finance team at Serco plc (parent) to ensure timely and accurate monthly financial reporting, including agreeing and setting up of account mappings for consolidation purposes.

Provide oversight and coordination for the successful completion of internal and external audits.
Be the POC for Finance and work closely with the Corporate Compliance and Legal team to ensure successful completion of ISO recertification and annual ISO audits.
Manage and coordinate all Accounting Compliance activities including annual risk assessment, internal control evaluation, design and testing.
Position will assist the controller organization in directing the organization's accounting functions. These functions include establishing and maintaining an organization's accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
Oversees the preparation and evaluation of monthly account reconciliations and other financial operating reports, and presents findings and recommendations to top management.
Position manages at least one (1) other accounting professional.
Qualifications
Successful candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
Bachelor's Degree, preferably with an emphasis in Accounting / Finance; and a minimum of 10 years direct experience in the field. CPA is required. Master's degree a plus
Four (4) or more years of public accounting or 6 or more years of financial reporting experience in a publicly traded company.
Experience in a federal government contracting environment a plus.
Supervisory experience preferred.
Business acquisition, mergers, and divestiture experience preferred.
Good working knowledge of lease accounting and revenue recognition with both IFRS and US GAAP a plus.
Financial statements consolidation experience required. Experience working with Budget, Planning andConsolidation (BPC) software a plus.
Ability to research and perform flux analysis on key balance sheet and P&L accounts.
Effective communication skills both oral and written preferred. Ability to break down complex issues and tailor communication style to a range of audiences, including non-accountants, and to clearly articulate ideas, solutions and conclusions to stakeholders.
Excellent project management skills, with proven ability to manage competing priorities within deadlines, while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
Experience in ISO 9001 compliance a plus.
Proactive and self-motivated individual, who maintains a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment while balancing a commitment to quality of work product.
Ability to make well-reasoned and timely decisions, possessing a skill for problem analysis and creative solutions.
Position requires a high level of computer skills, including advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; working knowledge of Costpoint required.
