The primary objective of this position is to sell Enterprise Software to Healthcare accounts in and around Mid- Atlantic. You will be accountable for quarterly booking targets for selling VMware products (perpetual and SaaS) across compute, network, storage, security, datacenter management, and cloud services, along with packaged services, and educational offerings.
You will need to orchestrate territory coverage through effective collaboration, leadership, and coaching of internal team/specialists and external partners on how to position and close VMware opportunities. You will work closely with top Partner Executives/Sellers across the U.S. including leading VARs, Distributors, Corporate Resellers, OEMs, and Cloud/Hosting Partners.
You will be expected to support Partners in negotiating large deals with deeply complex terms, conditions, prices pressures and considerations. Role Summary: Cloud Solutions Architect
As a member of the VMware Cloud on AWS Solution Architect team you will help customers understand their business challenges and IT priorities in an effort to design cloud solutions that will transform the way the customer delivers IT services.
This team's primary responsibility is to work with customers, to develop technology solutions, support onboarding and consumption of the VMWare Cloud on AWS service. Together with the Sales Specialist and Consumption Project lead, we will design & prove out transformational strategies spanning private, hybrid or public cloud architectures for our customers. We are expected to contribute to those strategies, develop reusable domain IP, and mentor internal & external partners on the use of the tools & technologies.

The Work
Working as part of a dynamic and specialized sales team, you will hold responsibility for technical engagements, while maintaining a laser-focus on client success. While the opportunities to contribute to the success of the team are vast, the fundamental responsibilities of your role will include:
VMware Knowledge of VMware Cloud Management software solutions
Deeply understanding our customers' needs by engaging in client interviews, conducting secondary research, and soliciting guidance from VMware Account Team.
Working with product specialists, product managers, public cloud partners, and other stakeholders to create the best solution to fit the customer's cloud architecture.
Partnering with customers to become a trusted advisor on their Digital Transformation journey
As a Cloud Specialist, you should have excellent listening and discovery skills, strong interpersonal skills, ability to solve complex problems, be a big picture thinker and be able to visualize and articulate the proposed solution for current and future states. With a clear and agreed upon client vision, you will be responsible for crafting the solution to realize the customer vision during the sales process and retain client ownership through to implementation.

Ensuring rapid time to value by timely and successful user training on existing and new features
Piloting POCs and betas as needed to expand usage of Wavefront
Proactively review customer consumption to help customers optimize their investment and grow Wavefront business
Lead up-sell efforts by identifying additional use cases and positioning new solution offerings to clients
Evangelism
Development of blogs, opensource contribution, etc - As a trusted advisor to several customers, you will learn about use cases, issues in operations and how to solve them. We expect this knowledge to be translated to blogs, talks at conferences, etc. What skills do we look for?
Demonstrated track record of successfully managing complex customer relationships in a technology service industry

Tanzu Mission control is a new cloud service that is part of the VMware Tanzu Portfolio. VMware Tanzu Portfolio enables enterprises to adopt Cloud Native technologies and automate the modern application lifecycle on any cloud. Tanzu Mission Control is designed to give customers a single pane of glass for all their Kubernetes clusters so they can monitor, verify, apply policy, back-up and restore with ease.
What is primary need, technical challenge, and/or problem you will be responsible for?
We need someone who can collaborate with product management and engineering teams to design, develop, test, release and operate cloud services that provide top notch user experiences with high scalability and availability.
Success in the Role: What are the performance goals over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?
You will work with product management team to derive technical requirements. You will translate the requirements into a well documented architecture and design.
You will engineer and develop microservices in Go language. Your code needs to have readability, extensibility and good quality.
You will write unit tests and integration tests to ensure code quality. You will work on performance testing using internal framework and tools.
You will be expected to show case your ability to troubleshoot and mitigate issues in production.

The team's missions is to enable customers to centrally manage their cluster capabilities across all K8S clusters in their fleet and to empower customers to gain insights of their clusters and workloads by providing visualization and intelligence. The team is also working on evolving TMC as a platform to integrate with 2nd and 3rd party customers by leveraging the product's data and integration capabilities.
