The Opportunity

This role sits in Bank Omnichannel and is responsible for the compliant execution of banking and regulatory activities and projects that directly support the implementation and optimization of the periodic review for bank operational communications. Responsible for leveraging insights to implement improvements to optimize the performance and relevancy of bank operational communications as it relates to periodic reviews.

As a dedicated Bank Business Process Consultant Senior, you will apply advanced knowledge of bank processes and products and act as a trusted advisor by providing consultation services to internal clients in areas of strategic sourcing, alternatives and solutions, supplier management, affiliate agreement adherence, third party risk management, and bank operations. Collect and consolidate demand and find opportunities, within the Bank. Execute and supervise the development of business process related solutions for internal clients and members. Evaluate processes/ resources and develop effective solutions/ improvements/ enhancements to drive the efficient operation of the Bank.

We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, Charlotte, NC, Chesapeake, VA or Tampa, FL. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

What you'll do:

  • Engage with key partners to implement balanced strategic solutions.

  • Develop business process improvements for the Bank that aligns business results, bank strategy and risk management framework.

  • Lead planning and execution efforts and coordinate activities for highly complex projects.

  • Apply a comprehensive understanding of risk and regulatory compliance to manage risks by using established methodologies and exercising control plans to ensure alignment with bank specific goals and process requirements.

  • Provide consultation to influence and ensure process is crafted to address risk across all activities.

  • Review and develop communication and change management plans for customers and internal partners to drive awareness on current processes and/or changes.

  • Ensure alignment between internal partners and customers across all business process projects and services using proactive communication and engagement strategies.

  • Apply data and analytics to deliver insight into customer and business process performance, find opportunities to influence customer and business process activities and advise key partners.

  • Ensure risks associated with business activities are efficiently identified, measured, supervised, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

What you have:

  • Bachelor's degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.

  • 6 years of experience in business process consulting, process design and/or program/project management experience.

  • Advanced knowledge of bank products and processes.

  • Experience in implementing and sustaining change/improvements.

  • Experience in applying quality management, process improvement, and leveraging process improvement tools and methodologies.

  • Experience applying retail bank subject matter expertise to simplify the customer experience, standardize process execution, and automate where possible.

  • Expert experience/ knowledge of Risk Management frameworks and Banking Regulatory requirements.

  • Demonstrated experience with process improvement, workflow, benchmarking and/or evaluation of business processes.

You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location. The salary range for this position is: $95,250-$182,030.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Product Management Director for the Bank's Checking Product Management team. This is an individual contributor role. This team is responsible for driving acquisition and engagement by developing differentiated solutions that inspire members to choose USAA as their primary bank. The role is accountable for the P&L growth of USAA's Checking products and will focus on optimizing and executing acquisition and offer strategy by leading cross-functional teams to develop, implement, and monitor performance of various marketing, digital and call center acquisition tactics.

This role will be accountable for leading change management routines to ensure risks associated with new business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures. In addition, the role will assess risk (e.g., compliance, operational, strategic), enhance the control environment, and develop new routines to lower residual risk associated with deposit marketing experiences.

Formulates product/sales strategy recommendations based on analysis of profitability, competitiveness and sales performance for the product life cycle.

Compile, analyze and interpret data to make strategic and tactical recommendations or decisions pertaining to sales/product performance. Responsible for defining the business questions and providing insights to improve business performance. Supports the maintenance of existing products and/or may lead in the development and launch of less complex, new products with channel partners.

What you'll do:

  • Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

  • Leverages internal and external data and member information to support formulation of product strategy and enhance competitive intelligence.

  • Develops product dashboards and metrics recommendations in support of analyzing and evaluating strategic performance.

  • Partners with Marketing to define go-to-market and value proposition strategy of the product/feature.

  • Develops recommendations to launch new products and the evaluation and decision to buy/build or ally.

  • Acts as product SME on features and services and collaborates with business partners to provide recommendations.

  • Analyzes and evaluates product performance metrics to form recommendations regarding market opportunities and product improvements.

  • Leads efforts to expand or change existing product features.

  • Contributes to decisions regarding product pricing and profitability.

  • Identifies and evaluates potential providers for alliance relationships.

  • Provides support regarding all aspects of Product Life Cycle.

  • Approves and provides support in developing, editing and distributing product communications.

  • Coordinates with relevant control partners (to include Legal, Compliance, and Risk Management) to ensure product offerings are designed, implemented and managed in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

  • Contributes to the overall strategy of the business and collaborates with alliance to develop product strategy.

  • Interprets performance results to inform product or sales forecast and planning.

  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

What you have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Statistics, or related discipline; OR 4+ years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.

  • 8+ years of relevant industry experience in Actuary, Underwriting, Marketing or Sales/Service or Finance/Accounting Operations or Financial Services.

  • 3+ years of product management, or similar strategic management experience (similar experience includes direct support in managing product performance).

  • 2+ years of data visualization experience as a user (i.e. Tableau, Power BI, Excel, etc).

  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations (i.e. FDIC, CFPB, OCC).

  • Expert experience in crafting product briefings and presenting to executive leadership.

  • Experienced in market research to build product roadmap, make product decisions and iterate rapidly.

  • Knowledge of applicable product related regulations, and risk and compliance requirements.

  • Knowledge of federal laws, rules, and regulations to include: FFIEC- Retail Payment Systems Handbook, Payment Rules (NACHA, Zelle, etc.), Reg CC, Reg E, Reg DD.

What sets you apart:

  • 5+ years of product management and product design experience and execution, preferably within Deposits

  • Risk and Change management experience including ability to apply, develop and execute risk management principles, risk assessments, control design, and risk reporting

  • Outstanding analytical skillset and critical thinking (i.e., ability to compile, interpret and analyze data to make fact-based recommendations)

  • Attention to detail, self-discipline, and self-motivation (i.e., comfortable making decisions and working in a sometimes ambiguous fast paced environment)

  • Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end program execution and project management

  • Strong written presentation skills, including PowerPoint

  • US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner

The Opportunity

The Auto Reinspector role's primary function is to review the estimating product produced by our Staff Appraisers, DRP Shops, and Vendors for compliance with policies, state laws and regulations, and OEM and industry standards and specifications. In doing so, the Reinspector will travel to repair facilities, salvage yards, and member's residences to inspect auto physical damage and review estimates and valuations against vehicle damages. The Reinspector will also conduct file reviews to ensure estimate accuracy and completeness when claims files have been closed. The Reinspection team provides proactive subject matter expert coaching, mentoring, and on-boarding for USAA claims employees and 3rd party suppliers. As such, extensive auto physical damage experience is important for success in this role.

Field based Auto Reinspectors ensure a quality auto repair appraisal and valuation product by focusing on targeted areas to continuously calibrate the reinspection process, validates reported findings and provides an objective subject matter expert (SME) knowledge to the Physical Damage Claims and broader Claims community. Completes work assignments and resolves problems independently.

We are seeking a dedicated Auto Reinspector based in the San Antonio Metro area.

We are looking for a Product Management Director for the Bank's Checking Product Management team. This is an individual contributor role. As a dedicated Model Validator Lead for the Life Model Validation Team , you will execute 2nd Line of Defense Model Risk Validation Oversight for the life-cycle management of models for high risk and highly complex models. The Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Business Risk and Controls Advisor Mid-Level Associate to join our Strategy, Digital and Brand Quality Control testing team.

As a member of the first line of defense, you will perform testing under the Enterprise Testing program methodology to ensure departmental processes and activities comply with applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. The Business Risk Control Advisor will compile and retain well documented work papers to create accurate and concise written results including issues, root cause and recommended corrective action. What you'll do:

  • Advises the business on how to strengthen and manage their control environment pertaining to oversight of procedures/process, accurate regulatory reporting and filing, document governance, risk control self-assessments, procedure governance, control design, new product controls, Third Party Governance, or quality governance.

  • Performs ongoing supervision and oversight of business controls which may include the coordination of testing, root cause analysis, control design, and examining key risk metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of established business controls.

  • Performs risk data analysis, report preparation and trend analysis from testing results and provide information to the team and relevant stakeholders.

  • Partners with business owners to assist them in the identification of control failures and assesses the impact with the ability to make recommendations to remediate issues.

  • Assists with translating control deficiencies into action plans and facilitates effective and timely risk remediation through action plan oversight; provides recommendations to enhance governance practices in alignment with risk and compliance frameworks.

  • Maintains processes, procedures, and tools for managing exception alerts as they occur, including monitoring of resulting exception cases.

  • Provides control oversight to ensure compliance with laws and regulations and the completeness and accuracy of testing results/reports.

  • Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Business Process Owner Senior. This role will be part of a Property Insurance team that handles Additional Living Expense/Loss of Use, Coverage, Contents, and Communication. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX; Phoenix, AZ; Colorado Springs, CO, Chesapeake, VA or Tampa, FL. The Opportunity

  • Utilize reporting, data, and analytics to measure process and project performance, deliver process operational efficiencies, and inform key stakeholders.

  • Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

What you have:

  • Bachelor's degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required for a total of 10 years) may be substituted in lieu of degree.

  • 6 years business process execution/knowledge/experience, consulting, and/or process engineering/optimization.

  • Experience in successfully applying quality management, process improvement, and problem-solving tools and methodologies.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Business Process Owner Senior. This role will be part of a Property Insurance team that handles Additional Living Expense/Loss of Use, Coverage, Contents, and Communication. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX; Phoenix, AZ; Colorado Springs, CO, Chesapeake, VA or Tampa, FL. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

The Opportunity

What you'll do:

  • Develop and implement strategic customer specific business process program plans that align with enterprise strategy and influence appropriate roadmap(s).

  • Apply expert knowledge of the business and leads the alignment and development of business deliverable processes and capabilities to materially change and improve business performance.

  • Serve as functional expert bringing diverse perspective to leverage multiple ways of thinking while developing end-user focused process solution

  • Manage the performance of processes by developing control limits, monitoring key performance indicators and informing stakeholders of any deficiencies, improvements, operational risks issues, etc. and drives collaborative efforts to ensure process delivers against requirements

  • Manage business process risks by using established methodologies and exercising control plans to ensure alignment with business unit specific requirements, process requirements, and business needs. Identifies business unit and business process risks across all activities.

  • Develop communication plans for customers and internal stakeholders.

  • Ensure alignment between internal stakeholders and customers across all business process projects and services using proactive communication and engagement strategies.

  • Utilize reporting, data, and analytics to measure process and project performance, deliver process operational efficiencies, and inform key stakeholders.

  • Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

What you have:

  • Bachelor's degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required for a total of 10 years) may be substituted in lieu of degree.

  • 6 years business process execution/knowledge/experience, consulting, and/or process engineering/optimization.

  • Experience in successfully applying quality management, process improvement, and problem-solving tools and methodologies.

  • Experience in implementing and sustaining change/improvements (change champion).

  • Hands on experience with Process Mapping and Modeling and creating and validating process documentation.

  • Experience in the application of process management standards and policies, and knowledge of applicable regulations and risk management practices.

  • Demonstrated experience with Lean, Business Process Management, or similar methodology.

  • Demonstrated experience with utilizing various systems to collect and analyze data.

  • Technical Property Claims experience and/or tenure

As a dedicated physical damage specialist, you will be responsible for building relationships and providing oversight of our third-party vendors through virtual or in person interactions with members, claimants, and third-party personnel. You will drive USAA's financial strength by ensuring accuracy and quality of third-party vendors' work product. **This is a field role, requiring the successful applicant to live and travel in the area of Orlando, Florida.

What you have:

  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma

  • 4+ years auto physical damage estimating experience

  • I-CAR Platinum Pro-Level 3 certification or ability to acquire and maintain within 12 months of hire

  • Ability to prioritize, problem solve, and effectively communicate next steps and path to resolution

  • Effective communication through multiple channels to include utilization of digital tools to drive speed, accuracy and service

  • Insurance adjuster license or acquisition and maintenance of license within 90 days and designated number of attempts

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Experience as a staff appraiser, damage appraiser, or supervisory experience over repair shop networks
