Teams in Apparel and Accessories (A&A), Home, Baby, Beauty and Electronics prioritize guest experience while blending completion of tasks that ensure product is available and easy to shop - pulling, filling, pricing, setting, staging and maintaining the sales floor and the backroom.

At Target, we believe in our team members having meaningful experiences that help them build and develop skills for a career. The role of a Specialty Sales Team Leader can provide you with the skills and experience of:

  • GUEST service fundamentals and experience; building a guest first culture on your team

  • Retail business fundamentals including department sales trends, inventory management, guest shopping patterns, pricing and promotions strategies

  • Planning department(s) daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver sales goals

  • Lead multiple businesses, balancing team member expertise and effectively leading teams in each department

  • Helping build a team of hourly team members

As a Specialty Sales Team Leader, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience. Model, train and coach team member expectations to deliver on our GUEST service model culture.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias

  • Understand sales goals, plan daily/weekly workload at the direction of your ETL, and execute the same to deliver on department and store sales goals and guest engagement; including planning merchandising, transitions, revisions, sales plans, events and promotions

  • Lead and demonstrate a culture of executing all best practices as outlined with team onboarding and learning; help close skill gaps through development, coaching and team interactions

  • With ETL guidance, develop, coach, and lead a team of consultants who are knowledgeable and passionate about A&A, Home, Seasonal, Beauty Electronics and Baby who stay current on brands, trends and promotions in each department

  • Encourage team to use tools available in their department (i.e. the fitting room, testers, displays) as an opportunity to welcome, inspire and influence guests by providing personalized recommendations to complete their purchase

  • With ETL guidance, partner with third party vendors to ensure brand standards and merchandising are being met and areas are full and maintained.

  • Support team's execution of revisions, sales plans, planograms, and Visual Merchandising Guide (VMG) for defined categories

  • Encourage guests to shop with confidence in specialty departments by creating inspiring visual moments and by ensuring product is organized, signed correctly and merchandised to support seasonal trends

  • Support your ETL in leading assigned business units backroom process, organization, layout and replenishment of the salesfloor to ensure product is available for guests.

  • Evaluate candidates for open positions and develop a guest-centric team

  • Support team onboarding, learning and help close product knowledge and skill gaps through development, coaching and team interactions set by your ETL

  • Ensure fitting rooms are welcoming, clean and safe if applicable to your assigned areas of responsibility

  • Support your ETL in establishing clear goals and expectations and hold team members accountable to expectations

  • Provide service and a shopping experience that meets the needs of the guests in all areas including clearance

  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance; lead and hold the team accountable to work in the same way

  • Model a safety advocacy culture by understanding how safety impacts your role and that of your team, identifying and correcting hazards, and holding team accountable to working in a safe manner to benefit themselves and others. If applicable, as a key carrier, follow all safe and secure training and processes

  • Address store needs (emergency, regulatory visits, etc.)

  • Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up (OPU) and Drive-up (DU) and maintain a compliance culture while executing those duties, such as compliance with federal, state, and local adult beverage laws.

  • All other duties based on business needs

  • With ETL guidance, help with execution of processes in inbound, outbound, replenishment, inventory accuracy, presentation, pricing and promotional signing processes for select GM areas of the store

  • With ETL guidance, help with efficient delivery to our guests by leading pick, pack and ship fulfillment work (if applicable)

  • Responsible for working with Closing teams to identify key priorities and ensure the store is guest ready per the ETL's direction.

  • Help create a scheduling plan approved by your ETL based off of monthly and weekly business workload and guest traffic

  • Enable team members to stay up-to-date on relevant trends and products

  • Evaluate candidates for open positions and develop a guest-centric team Lead team onboarding and learning and close knowledge gaps through training and experiences

All video work will support the broader team's strategic roadmap and represent the Target brand.

As Sr Art Director, Motion Media, you will:

  • Develop concepts for video projects, partnering with Associate Creative Director, Motion Media, ensuring they align with business and creative objectives and audiences

  • Craft compelling narratives, mood boards and storyboards that effectively convey the intended message, thematic approach and story arc

  • Present concepts to Creative Director, Senior Communications Director and other leaders as needed

  • In partnership with the ACD, Motion Media, help define and maintain the overall creative vision for each project, ensuring consistency in style, tone, and quality

About the role *:*

As a Lead Product Designer within our Guest Experience team,your mission is to deliver best-in-class digital shopping experiences for our guests by delivering both functional proof of concepts and in-market launches in partnership with product, engineering, and other cross-functional peers and leaders through UX sprint frameworks (i.e., discovery, co-creation, future-visioning). In this role, you will focus on deeply understanding the human need, changes in consumer trend and behavior, business opportunity, and Target's brand potential to design and prototype new experiences for a small portfolio of actionable, multi-horizon strategies. You will bring meaningful guest journeys and experiences to life by thinking holistically, pragmatically, and through the lens of innovation while setting a high bar for craft and quality.

You are an excellent prototyper, fluent in selecting the right tools to explore new and emerging interaction, technology, and experience paradigms. You are skilled at explaining design recommendations to non-design stakeholders through your creation of interactive prototypes-You deliver the right fidelity at the right time-ranging from rapid, low-fi interactions perfect for iteration in user studies to more emotive prototypes featuring high-craft visuals, motion, and sound. You understand guest needs, omni-channel retail, and the role that UX plays in driving engagement, loyalty, delight, and trust while delivering business results. You are proactive, curious, ask questions, and are driven to connect the dots. You will leverage both your technical expertise and tried-and-true design craft to understand and prioritize guest needs, co-develop near and long-term design strategies, and deliver a best-in-class guest experience for Target.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop high-quality visual, interaction, and motion designsand protoypesfor digital and omni-channel experiences and platforms - influencing strategy, investment, collaboration models, and the balance of new vs. iteration

  • Collaborate within UX sprints for discovery, co-creation, future-visioning, and functional proof of concept delivery for emerging experiences in partnership with product, engineering, and other cross-functional peers and leaders.

  • Investigate new opportunities using tools that prototype visual design, interactions, motion, and other modes of interaction, including sound

  • Align internal stakeholders, accelerate experimentation, and enable us to innovate more rapidly while scaling UX learnings and best-practices across teams

  • Create deliverables representative of both exploratory and go-to-market design phases - such as wireframes, user flows, UI design, and prototypes

  • Guide design process and mentor junior designers

  • Hold design work to a high standard of craft, including accessibility, user research, information architecture, interaction design, visual design, and service design

  • Advance a culture of human-centered practice within UX, product, and engineering teams

  • Build a network of relationships to enable your vision in service of our guest experience and Target as a whole

*About you:*

  • 7+ years experience as a senior or lead product designer or design technologist with a strong portfolio showcasing successful product and service design work

  • You thrive at the intersection of design strategy, scaled solutions, and craft

  • Expert skills in UX, product design, and prototyping, as well as structuring and planning work, and owning the design process

  • Advanced experience working in new product development within large enterprises (i.e., co-creation sprints)

  • Advanced proficiency in product design and development tools (i.e., Figma, Principle, Framer; ability to write markup and/or develop in HTML, JS, SwiftUI, Jetpack Compose is a plus)

  • Advanced strategic problem-solving, systems thinking, and collaboration skills

  • Proven ability to effectively use data and insights to set your direction and communicate your approach
