This internship will be part of the WSP Summer Internship Program. As a summer intern, you have the opportunity to participate in our 12-week program scheduled to start on May 19th, 2025 . The individual start date of the internship may be flexible.

The desired candidate has completed courses in hydrology and hydraulics, have some familiarity with drafting software and/or GIS, and be a motived learner, curious, and driven.

Your Impact

This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Full-Time Early Career Electrical Engineer for our Denver, CO office. Be involved in projects with our Property and Buildings Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our clients' objectives and solves their challenges.

Takes part in providing local technical assistance for the due diligence, investigation, remediation, impact assessment, permitting, design, development, and construction of utility, industrial, and commercial scale projects in the public and private sector. Tasks may include basic assistance with the research, design, concept development, and construction of transmission and distribution substations, power distribution, power regulation, renewable energy, as well as protection and control systems in a wide variety of contexts (utilities, transportation, building, and Federal, State, and local government projects). Generates accurate and concise documentation regarding assigned aspects of the project. • Under general supervision, assist with collecting, compiling, and analyzing data relating to substation components, equipment specifications for procurement package development and pricing, IFR/IRC design and review processes, and IEEE/NESC Standards/NERC regulations for design work.

This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Full Time Senior CADD Technician to lead CADD design and delivery for our Portland, OR office. The following locations will also be considered: Vancouver-WA . Under general supervision and guidance from design engineers, provides technical CADD and BIM support to produce design drawing and specifications for projects in the Transportation Business Line. This Opportunity

Leads and provides assistance and guidance for the collection, identification, compiling, and analysis of observational and spatial data concerning a variety of natural resources. Provides support and guidance for environmental permitting projects across multiple sectors. Ensures that permit documentation and recommendations accurately describe the results of analyses, addresses environmental impacts and complies with applicable laws, regulations, and policies. Assists project leadership with environmental impact assessment, corrective/mitigation strategy development, permitting, and/or restoration activities. Your Impact

• Lead and provide guidance with data collection efforts for identifying wetlands, streams, marine areas, sensitive habitats, and other natural resources for projects.

• Use topographic maps, aerial photographs, GPS units, and other maps and tools to determine exact locations of project areas, site impact, habitat types, and associated physical and wildlife sensitivities.

• Conduct field investigations, inspections, and environmental studies and surveys to gain further information on a particular environmental problem or issue, verify site characteristics, and/or to plan for future environmental needs.

• Prepare documents for local, state, and federal permitting including JARPAs, Biological Assessments, critical areas reports, Hydraulic Project Approvals, Shoreline Management Act compliance.

• Ensure regulatory requirement compliance pertaining to the data integrity, documentation, procedures, training, monitoring systems, and record compliance and retention.

• Provide environmental risk identification and impact assessment, offering input with developing action plans for moderate- to high-level threat mitigation and permitting activities projects to minimize impacts to the health of the environment and the population.

Our Federal Team is seeking an Environmental Science Intern to work out of our Morristown, NJ office. The following locations will also be considered: Albany, NY; Buffalo, NY; Lawrenceville, NJ; and Valhalla, NY . This temporary position is seeking individuals currently enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate degree program.

This internship will be part of the WSP Summer Internship Program. As a summer intern, you have the opportunity to participate in our 12-week program scheduled to start on May 19th, 2025. The individual start date of the internship may be flexible.

Your Impact

• Assist in the development of work planning documents for field investigations related to Federal projects to characterize and mitigate contaminated sediments, groundwater, and soils.

• Assist with data analysis for surface water, soils, sediments and groundwater to identify the nature and extent of environmental contamination and to understand transport pathways.

• Conduct research on environmental fate and transport processes and remedial technologies for contaminated sites as needed.

• Support a variety of engineering tasks with the goal to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.

• Tasks may include basic assistance with field investigations (including sample collection, processing, and management), data evaluation, data reporting, and design (preliminary design calculations and analysis) of sediment, soil, and groundwater remediation systems.

• Work will include a mixture of field and office assignments; some travel is possible, including overnight stays
