We are currently seeking experienced safety-conscious Equipment Operators to join the team at Pembroke Park TS in Pembroke Park, FL . Previous landfill or waste experience would be a huge plus , but willing to train the right candidate.

Th e p osition is a Day Shift working Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays working 45-55 hours a week. Pay Range for this position is $21-$23/hr DOE.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform Maintenance around the site and facilities as needed

• Spreading and compacting trash using a Compactor

• Spreading daily cover using aDozer

• Excavating soil using an Excavator

• Hauling soil

W ORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

• The work environment is an outdoorlandfillsetting. The employee will work near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibrations. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Areas are clean, ventilated, and well lit.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience driving forklift,dozer, or articulated dump truck preferred

• Must demonstrate ability to learn and independently operate equipment used at facility

• Must become proficient in the care and use of all site specific, facility requiredPersonal ProtectionEquipment (PPE)

• Must demonstrate ability to work in a team environment andwillingnessto assume additional or new responsibilities readily

• Able to work outside in all weather conditions

• Work environment may be indoors in a shop, or outdoors to repair trucks on the road. Usually well-lighted and ventilated. Sometimes necessary to work in awkward or tight positions and to handle greasy or dirty tools. These factors require following basic safety precautions.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 3 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

The Loader position is responsible for helping the driver of a garbage truck on specified routes to manually collect solid waste and transport it to appropriate disposal sites.

Our recycling facility in Albany, NY is looking for a SCALE ATTENDANT.

Day Shift- 7A-4P straight through. This role will have OT weekly.

Pay Range- $19-$20 per hour

General Overview : In this position you will be working independently. You will be weighing trucks in and out of the facility and also dealing with the public. The individual must have excellent customer service skills, good computer skills, and cash handling experience.

Essential Duties:

Greet and direct all customers and employees upon entry of the facility.

Answers phone in a professional and enthusiastic fashion.

Performs full clerical and general office duties, including making copies of forms and running reports as needed.

Track weight information from scale to computer system and get appropriate signatures

Ensuring that incoming garbage loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate material.

Assisting with office duties, filing and paperwork as needed.

Complete various accounting reports. Use of a computer is required.

Weigh trucks in and out of the facility with an average of sitting an standing 63 times per day.

Measuring trailers (length X width X height) which includes going up and down the stairs with an average of 9 vehicles per day.

Ensuring that customers conduct all business in a safe manner and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Opening or closing of scale house, which may include opening and closing gates.

Providing general upkeep of the Scale House.

Approaching all encounters with employees, customers and vendors in a friendly, service-oriented manner.

Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate a high degree of tact, discretion and diplomacy.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Able to alternately sit or stand during the shift (8-10 hours).

Excellent customer service skills.
