Roll Off Driver - Waste Connections

Job Description

Waste Connections has a Roll Off Driver position open to work at our site in McKinney , Texas

Entry pay: $24.00/Hour

Monday - Friday with an occasional Saturday, 5:00AM start time working a 10+ hour shift. On top of competitive pay and consistent overtime we also offer family benefits, 401k, vacation and an employee stock purchase plan. We offer year round steady work and with patience and hard work can get promoted in to our other routes.

Requirements:

  • Class A or B CDL

  • Clean driving record

  • 2+ years of commercial driving experience

  • Must have Roll Off experience in the Waste Industry.

    WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

  • Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.

  • Work environment involves some exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts which require following basic safety precautions.

  • The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.

    MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement as a minimum.

  • Clean driving record.

  • Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Alaska Waste, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a full time Yard Laborer to join our team in Anchorage AK. This is a full time, long term position with benefits! The schedule will be Monday - Friday, 5:30am start times, 8-9 hours per day. Pay will be around $18 per hour, depending on experience. This is a labor-intensive position requiring regular heavy lifting. We are looking for laborers who are interested in starting a driving career and grow within the company. Responsibilities Include:

  • Cleaning equipment with pressure washer

  • Picking up litter

  • General site cleanup

  • Container Assembly

  • Other assigned laborer duties

    Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of work experience. Preferably in a labor/operator type position.

Kahut, a Waste Connections Company, is looking for a safety conscience Residential Garbage Route Driver to join the team in Clackamas, Oregon. Previous waste experience would be a huge plus! This position will be driving a Automated Side Load Garbage Truck.

Hours will be Monday-Friday starting at 5:30 AM and goes until the route is completed. This route typically averages about 45 hours a week. Starting wage is $29.39/HR. We are also offering a $5,000 Stay On Bonus.

The Loader position is responsible for helping the driver of a garbage truck on specified routes to manually collect solid waste and transport it to appropriate disposal sites.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Work in conjunction with other departments to resolve customer disputes & demonstrate the ability to become proficient in the use of proprietary operational systems.Interviews customers and records interview information into computer for customer service, talks with customers by phone and in person, to receive orders for installation, turn on, discontinuance, or change in service.Fills out contract forms, determines charges for service requested, collects deposits, prepares change of address records and issues discontinuance orders.Demonstrate effective use of software applications, at a minimum MS Word and Excel proficient.Delivers services to customers in a manner that promotes goodwill. Interacts with customers and Waste Connections employees to determine service requirements and resolve problems or complaints in a courteous mannerWork in a fast paced, cooperative, high call volume environment with very detailed expectationsSolicit sale of new or additional services.Assist in other areas as needed

Average Call volume is 34-55 Per Shift.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:Work environment is in a call center. Areas are clean, ventilated, and well lighted. Our Customer Service Reps normally have their own workstation or cubicle space and are equipped with a telephone, headset, and computer.CSR call areas can be noisy and work may be repetitious and stressful, with little time in between calls, while still providing excellent service. Some calls are evaluated to ensure high standards.Also, long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen are very common.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English.High school diploma or equivalent preferred.2 years of Customer Service experience in a high call volume atmosphere.Proficient Experience with MS Word, Excel, and Email preferred. Typing and 10-key skills are required.Excellent organization and communication skills.Ability to analyze and solve problems. Gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.

Waste Connections is looking for a safety conscience Mechanic to join our team in North Platte, NE.

PAY:

- $18 - $28 per hour.- Every hour after 40 is paid overtime.- $5,000 STAY ON BONUS

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:-Perform repairs and assigned preventative maintenance services. Performs inspections, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulics, suspension brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.-Utilize vehicle computer electrical systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.-Complete required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.-Reviews, completes, or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports. -Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.-Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns.-Maintain a clean, safe work environment in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:-Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 60 pounds.- Work environment may be indoors in a shop, or outdoors to repair trucks on the road. Usually well-lighted and ventilated. Sometimes necessary to work in awkward or tight positions and to handle greasy or dirty tools. These factors require following basic safety precautions..-The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:-Valid drivers license (CDL preferred, but not required). -Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English.-2 years of experience preferred.-Must own personal tools.
