Waste Connections has an immediate opening for a Scale Clerk to work at our site in Alvarado, TX. In this position you will be checking trucks in and out of our landfill. You will also have other basic administrative duties. You will be in constant communication with the management team. Must have strong computer skills and be very detailed and organized.
Monday-Friday 10 hour shifts and every 3rd Saturday working from 7 am to about 12:30 pm. On top of great pay we offer family benefits, 401k, vacation and year round work with year round OT.

We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join our team in Anchorage, AK!
Pay to be $20-$24 per hour, DOE.
Key Duties, Responsibilities, and Tasks:
Communicate with controllers, billing manager, and office leads on a regular basis
Expert in RMO billing system
Strong understanding of RCA regulation
Learn rate structure for all 15 sites in Denali Division
Create custom billing reports for special contracts and broker accounts
Complex customer account audits
Collections phone calls, e-mail blasts, call blasts
Stop accounts that have been suspended for non-payment
Validate credit balances & request customer refund payments
Validate past due balances & write off accounts to collection agency
Assist with training & development of new customer service employees in RMO
Review and post deposit, charge/credit batches, review and poste work orders
Run audit reports prior to monthly billing & make necessary account corrections
Cross train on all functions of the billing department including EFT deposits, cash deposits, cash reconciliation, electronic payment scrub files.
Encourage increased inter-department communication at all sites
Support customer service call center as needed during high call volumes or when short staffed
Other duties & special projects as assigned by billing and accounting team

SQL Database Developer

This is a full-time expert level position at Waste Connections, Inc. located in The Woodlands, Texas. The position will be primarily responsible for management and support of our internal routing and billing application as well as integrating newly acquired company data. This position is a member of the Operations Applications Information Systems group and will be part of the Database Team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
SQL Server Development
Writing SQL queries from scratch, must be very proficient in Transact SQL
SSIS - take data from the old system, modify that data, and feed into the new system
Use of data model concepts, master data management, operational process, SDLC, project management, data profiling, data cleansing/de-duplication processes.
Use of SQL Server database, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server analysis Services (SSAS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Azure Data platforms (Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lakes, and Azure Databricks). Working with Microsoft SQL Stack e.g., SQL Server 2016 or higher, SSAS, SSIS, SSRS
Data Analysis and Data Updates
Live and Test database updates
Create, update, and maintain Transact SQL scripts
Create, update and maintain indexes, stored procedures, and triggers.
Data Conversions
Create scripts to migrate legacy data into our current routing and hauling software.

Support
Analyze data, provide solutions and support our existing customers.
Database Administration
Light administration such as performance monitoring, restores and backups.

EDUCATION / TECHNICAL EXPERTISE / EXPERIENCE
3+ years of experience in application development
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field

Individuals with 1+ years' experience working on heavy diesel trucks or those that have completed a Diesel Technology program are encouraged to apply.
Hours are Monday - Friday 10:00am to 6:30pm with occasional Overtime. Hourly Rate is $20.00/HR with an Increase of $1.50 After Six (6) Months of Employment and positive performance review.
Responsibilities include:
Performs repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services.
Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
Reviews, completes or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
Performs maintenance related work as required.
Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Ability to effectively communicate needed repairs or tasks.

Develop routes for the following day based on orders received from Customer Service; assign routes to drivers
Prioritize same-day orders (from queue in staging area) to drivers, based on driver location and availability
Provide print and electronic route schedules to drivers for planned and updated orders; follow up to ensure orders have been received
Direct drivers to appropriate transfer stations
Answer calls from drivers requesting pick-ups, and assign orders as appropriate

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:-Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.-Work environment involves some exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts. Which require following basic safety precautions.-The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.

Waste Connections has an immediate opening for a Diesel Truck Mechanic at our site in Haltom City, TX. In this position you will be performing preventative maintenance, repairs on hydraulic and electrical systems, along with parts replacement and minor engine repair on our garbage trucks.
