What We're Looking For

Provide prompt, friendly, customer-focused office Support:

Prioritize, manage and resolve or escalate support requests as appropriate, according to SLAs. Perform intermediate hardware, software, and network troubleshooting. Identify, anticipate and resolve related issues.

Support local office moves by physically moving and setting up the equipment, etc.

Responsible to assist with day-to-day hardware and software lifecycle management:

Perform hardware imaging, software installs, and equipment deployments.

Identify and reclaim unused hardware and software to help the organization manage assets more effectively, improving compliance and minimizing costs.

Identify and document all lease buyout or casualty loss items accurately and on time.

Facilitate lease return equipment pick-up. Verify pick-up items, note variances, verify items are placed on a truck and ensure appropriate documentation is obtained according to contract.

Responsible for the day-to-day administration of multiple technology services:

Responsible for placing technology orders to ensure offices have the technology needed to do their jobs.

System support includes VoIP, call manager, network systems, etc.

Server support includes file share creation, machine account maintenance, etc.

Build the knowledge base through the submission of knowledge articles. Partner with subject matter experts to understand application and documentation requirements. Organize all material for conciseness, style, and consistent terminology.

Primary Focus Will Include:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's or technical degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related degree

  • 2 years of relevant experience

  • In lieu of degree, 4 years of experience in technical support or relevant experience

What We're Looking For

HNTB is looking for an Environmental Project Manager to join our team of environmental experts and help manage the environmental process required for transportation projects. The candidate will also provide expert technical guidance and assistance for all phases of projects, including planning, investigation, design and construction activities. As an Environmental Project Manager, the candidate will be responsible for proactively involving other project team members in development of solutions. The position will also oversee the work of less experienced staff.

Primary Focus Will Include:

  • Management and preparation of environmental documentation for transportation projects, including Categorical Exclusions, Environmental Assessments, and Environmental Impact Statements, with a specific focus on Indianapolis transportation clients.

  • Management and preparation of various local, state, and federal regulatory permit applications, including Section 404/401, IDNR Construction in a Floodway, and IDEM Construction Stormwater General Permits.

  • Provide oversight, technical guidance, and review of work products developed by junior staff.

  • Partners with Client Service Leaders and pursuit champions to assist with business development, building client relationships, and pursuit efforts.

  • Works with the project team and marketing resources to prepare appropriate proposal and presentation materials.

  • Coordinates with clients, agencies, and other stakeholders with respect to potential environmental impacts of proposed projects.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, Planning, or a related field

What You'll Need

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for development of the project scope and fee quotation and assists in the preparation of technical proposals and contracts in accordance with HNTB's Sophisticated Contracting Approach (SCA).

  • Serves as the primary client liaison and manages the project team to deliver the scope, schedule, and budgets to completion and to the client's satisfaction. Assists with client project scoping and contract negotiations.

  • Leads and prepares design documents, technical plans, written reports on projects.

  • Implements the firm's project delivery plan using HNTB's Sophisticated Delivery Approach (SDA) on each project. Leads the development and the execution of the project management plan. Supervises and mentors team to overall project objectives.

  • Performs coordination with managers on project staffing, including, but not limited to; recruitment, hiring, development, retention, and succession of project staff; development of plan for project staff reporting; and support for performance and compensation reviews.

  • Partners with Client Service Leaders and pursuit champions to assist with business development, building client relationships and pursuit efforts for strategic and mini-mega projects in accordance with HNTB's Sophisticated Sales Approach (SSA). Water Resources Project Engineer performing as a stormwater design task lead on both small and large complex projects.

Primary Focus Will Include:

  • Assign and delegate tasks to successfully complete the stormwater design component for projects in support of other HNTB disciplines, as well as projects within the Water Group.

  • Ensure delivery of projects meets HNTB's 4 for 4 performance: delivery of quality work, on time, on budget, and to the clients satisfaction.

  • Provide technical training and guidance to junior engineers.

  • Perform quality reviews of engineering calculations, models, and reports.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Master's degree in Engineering

  • 8 years relevant experience

  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification
