We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Designer 4 to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing components or portions of systems and modifying existing designs to enhance or improve products. Your work will support our mission by developing new products and optimizing operations.

What You Will Do

  • Designs components or portions of electrical systems and modifies existing designs to develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing operations.

  • Utilizes computer-aided design equipment and/or graphic tools such as, CAD, CAM or CATIA.

  • Gathers information, makes studies, computes calculations, and prepares original rough layouts, sketches to present design proposal.

  • Coordinates design criteria with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, material, and planning group such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials, and contractual specifications.

What You Must Have

  • Associates Degree or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 6 years related experience or High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years related experience.

Summary

HII seeks a Senior Systems Administrator to provide support to the Naval Air Warfare Center (NAWC) at Naval Air Station Patuxent River for its Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) network. The selected candidate will contribute to advancing JSE's initiatives aimed at enhancing the skills of our tactical aviators to effectively respond to emerging threats. The evolving nature of these threats necessitates rapid evolution of the JSE to ensure a resilient and secure digital environment. What you will do

  • Lead a team of Systems Administrators

  • Meet with technical points of contact (TPOC) on-site

  • Create detailed project plan and schedule to ensure completion of project milestones

  • Present plans and schedule to the customer for review and concurrence

  • Review all current existing Ansible playbooks for JSE networks within 30 days of Special Access Program (SAP) read-in

  • Provide an assessment of the Ansible playbooks and make recommendations for extending the application f automation to additional aspects of administrative tasks and configuration management

  • Integrate with the technical support team to provide solutions based on the JSEW Master Implementation Plans

  • Recommend additional specific labor required to ensure timely standup and growth of all JSE capabilities

Who We Are

As a Senior Topside Engineer supporting PEO IWS, you will be trusted to bring together a multi-disciplinary team that is geographically dispersed to provide engineering planning, design, integration, installation, and test of Aegis Combat Systems (ACS) onboard ships post-construction and during maintenance availabilities. In this role, you will be responsible for development and analysis of Aegis ship topside design and Electromagnetic interference / co-site interference in support of configuration changes to DDG 51, FFG-62 and other classes of ships.

This position can be based in either Washington, DC, Chesapeake, VA, or Moorestown, NJ.

What You Will Do

  • Provide leadership, technical analysis, recommendations and analytical assessment for shipboard integration of weapons, sensors, antenna and HM&E equipment aboard DDG 51, FFG-62 and other classes of ships.

  • Provide guidance and participate in shipyard site surveys, development and implementation of operational controls to allow for safe in-port and near-land operation of radars, such as SPY-1, SPY-6 and SPY-7.

  • Conduct and interpret results from EMC and RADHAZ testing on ships to evaluate impacts of new system upgrades.

  • Perform topside and electromagnetic analysis with use of 3D and electromagnetic modeling and simulation tools.

What You Must Have

  • Strongly prefer a Bachelor of Arts or Science (BA/BS) in a relevant field and 10+ years of experience as a Design Engineer/Integrator for large ships (or 15+ years of experience without a degree).

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of the larger Navy and Marine Corps Sector.

  • A US DoD Secret security clearance is required.

  • US Citizenship is required.

  • 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.

Physical Requirements

May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.

Mission Technologies, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, is looking for a qualified individual to fill the role of a Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE) JLVC Capability Manager for their Live, Virtual and Constructive (LVC) Solutions Group (LSG). This person supports operational testing, development, and integration of Navy and Marine Corps LVC training systems to ensure they are compatible, interoperable, and meet the Fleet's training needs. This position is located at I MEF Battle Simulation Center (BSC), Camp Pendleton, CA.

Additionally, this position requires flexibility as duties and responsibilities may be adjusted to meet business, customer, and contractual requirements.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise on the capabilities of Joint Live Virtual Constructive (JLVC) federate simulations and tools in JLVC catalog to meet specified training objectives.

  • Provide training to BSC staff and end users to facilitate effective employment of JLVC federate simulations and tools. Training includes installation procedures, initialization, user roles, and participation in training events.

  • Conduct continuing education activity to ensure awareness of emerging JLVC capabilities, planned development roadmaps for existing JLVC capabilities, and enhance understanding of effective employment of JLVC simulations and tools.

  • Initialize and employ instances of JLVC federate simulations to meet training objectives.

  • Manage the local simulation artifacts for each of the JLVC federates (parametric databases, enumeration tables, 3D models, terrain, etc.) and their alignment with Marine Corps Training and Education Command (TECOM)-provided versions and adjustments for unique local training requirements.

  • Support the continuous refinement of enterprise documentation regarding JLVC federates' capabilities and best practices for their implementation in support of different LVC training constructs.

  • Support the Federation Manager in federating instances of JLVC simulations and tools to meet training objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline plus 6 to 8 years of related experience is required

  • In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 8 years applicable work experience

  • Must be familiar with Linux (command line) and Windows operating systems

  • Must have technical leadership ability. During LVC training event execution, must be able to address technical issues by understanding which engineering domain problems belong to and then assign engineers from the appropriate domains to resolve issues.

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable communicating at various levels of the organization. This may involve lower level technical collaboration on issues with assigned engineers or high level explanation of issues and/or status updates with senior leadership

  • Must be familiar with MS Office

  • A current CompTIA Security + certification is required for the position

  • Must currently hold and be able to maintain a US Secret clearance

Preferred Requirements

  • Knowledge of distributed simulation protocols such as High Level Architecture (HLA) and Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS)

  • Familiarity with networking concepts, architectures, and protocols such as TCP/IP and UDP

  • Experience with MS Visio software to produce technical architecture drawings

  • Knowledge of Navy C4I tactical systems such as Link 16 and GCCS

  • Experience working with Navy systems and/or commands

The Role

When a U.S. Navy ship needs repairs, they call us. Join our team as we keep the most powerful Navy the world has known afloat and ready to serve! This Marine Mechanic position will support contracted skilled trades work on our Elevator Support Unit (ESU). You will help us with installations and alterations to Weapon Elevators, Aircraft Elevators, and their associated systems on U.S. Navy ships. Travel within and outside of the continental United States may be required. This position is located in Bremerton, WA.

What You Will Do

  • Perform a variety of skilled trades, maintenance and technical tasks on aircraft carrier elevators, cargo-handling systems and associated equipment, including aircraft elevators, weapons elevators and vertical stores conveyors.

  • Develops and uses technical documents including controlled work packages, formal work processes and procedures, test documents, reports and task or trip reports

  • Applies comprehensive understanding of production and processes toward completion of assignments.

  • Responsible for interfacing with customers, managing subcontractors and ability to provide work direction to others.

  • Schedules, reports and briefs customers and senior management. Performs duties outside of specialty in order to complete installation or work assignment.

What You Must Have

  • High School education, or Trade School or equivalent, and 4 years of related experience.

  • Must provide own hand tools as designated per trades specialty.

The KM/IM Analyst will assist in analyzing, designing, evaluating, and planning the Business and Information Technology Systems Architecture to optimize the enterprise information technology architecture. The analyst will also provide technical assistance to agency information technology staff. The IM/KM Analyst will support Joint Staff J7, Joint Force Development as SharePoint site and content administrator in creating, implementing, and managing a Knowledge Management program. The IM/KM Analyst must understand organizational KM vision and develop and communicate technology solutions that best enable subordinate teams' operating procedures and practices. The IM/KM Analyst must be able to apply the core principles of knowledge management to military training planning tasks, possess strong interpersonal skills, and enjoy providing support to a high visibility, fast-paced military training organization. Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Support development and deployment of infrastructure in AWS

  • Automate deployment processes and ensure reliability and scalability of services

  • Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS

  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate their applications into the infrastructure

  • Monitor and troubleshoot production systems and resolve issues as necessary

  • Continuously improve processes and tools to ensure high availability and performance

  • Stay current with new technologies and industry trends, continuously exploring new ways to improve our infrastructure

Minimum Qualifications

  • Security Clearance - A current TS/SCI U.S. Government Security clearance is required; U.S. citizenship required.

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering or Software Development (Java preferred) and Bachelors in related field; or 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.

  • Strong knowledge of Linux, including system administration and troubleshooting

  • Proficient in configuration management tools such as Ansible or Puppet

  • Knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda) and their application to deployment and management of infrastructure

  • Experience with application and OS deployment, scaling, and management

  • Ability to develop in multiple programming languages such as bash, Python, or Go

  • Familiarity with Git and other development tools such as deployment pipelines

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and troubleshoot complex issues

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Understanding of AGILE software development methodologies and use of standard software development tool suites

  • Must be able to obtain Security+ certification within 60 days of hire.

  • Must be able to work on customer site 100% of the time in San Antonio, TX.

Preferred Requirements

  • Security+ certification is highly desired.

  • Experience with big data technologies like: Hadoop, Spark, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Hive, Drill, Impala, Trino, Presto, etc.

  • Experience with containers and Kubernetes are a plus

  • Work could possibly require some on-call work.

Who We Are

This position proactively supports the US Navy Commander, Naval Air Force, US Atlantic Fleet's (COMNAVAIRLANT) Carrier Engineering Maintenance Assist Team (CEMAT) Project, for shipboard Auxiliary Engineering Equipment including Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, Pumps, Water Heaters, Solid Waste Processing Equipment and HP / LP Air Compressors. Duties will include training and mentoring junior personnel (coworkers and customers - ships force personnel) in techniques and processes used to assess, troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and operate systems and equipment while simultaneously performing hands on maintenance and repairs. #LI-MJ1

What you will do

  • Train Ship Force Personnel with the troubleshooting, repair and overhaul of Auxiliary Equipment onboard CVN- Class Aircraft Carriers using technical documents including controlled work packages, formal work processes and procedures.

  • May ride ships at sea for extended periods.

  • Travel may be required within and outside of the continental United States.

  • Applies comprehensive understanding of production and processes toward completion of assignments.

  • Responsible for interfacing with customers, managing subcontractors and ability to provide work direction to others.

  • Performs a variety of complicated and non-routine tasks.

  • Develops and uses technical documents including controlled work packages, formal work processes and procedures, test documents, reports and task or trip reports.

  • Schedules, reports and briefs customers and senior management.

  • Performs duties outside of specialty in order to complete installation or work assignment.
