DUTIES

  • Operations Management

  • Demonstrate a "customer first" mentality

  • Assist Manager in leading store activities to achieve objectives of the Store's business plan

  • Assist in merchandising to approved plan-o-grams

  • Ensure shelf price labeling and full store objectives are met

  • Achieve inventory turn objectives; implement product changeovers

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

  • Minimum H.S. diploma/equivalent and at least one year retail experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Ability to communicate concrete and abstract ideas and understand and communicate directions using both oral and written means

  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal direction as a resourceful, independent problem solver

  • Ability to handle multiple projects/tasks and meet deadlines

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business

  • Awareness of how the store is operating in the manager's absence

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required

Responsibilities:

Category Management

  • Develop knowledge of target consumers in order to understand the desired consumer experience. Act as the voice of the consumer, and use knowledge and data to anticipate consumer behavior to assist in the execution of product and category strategies

  • Initiate product category strategies for each assigned product category. Assist in development and management of category roadmap that outlines the strategic and financial objectives of projects needed to support the overall strategy

    Digital Merchandising

  • Identify keywords and phrases needed to build strong SEO and implement strategic updates designed to increase traffic and drive conversion

  • Partner with the digital marketing team to ensure the customers' path to purchase is seamless and inclusive of any/all search terms related to product and categories

    Analysis

  • Work to review market information for assigned categories and determine success factors for top items.

  • Assist with analysis of retail/commercial competitive pricing calculating store level margin and competitiveness against defined competitors

  • Identify and report on top sellers and underperformers within each assigned category

  • Determine reasons for underperformance and recommend strategies to leverage/increase sales and/or discontinue

    Category Expansion

  • Provide recommendations for new products and categories

  • Develop key sourcing list for product line extensions, working with Product Management team to ensure timely arrival, accurate costing and successful product introduction

  • For new product families, manage the new product implementation process from start through initial shipments to stores

  • Develop product specifications, benchmarks, pricing, etc.

    Store Assortment/Merchandising

    People Leadership

    Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Category Management, Product Management, Product Buying, or Market Management experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous retail industry experience

  • Equivalent to 4 years of college education or specialized training program with an emphasis in Marketing, Business Administration or related field

  • Understanding of multi-level distribution networks and retail industry experience

  • Demonstrate strong analytical abilities, using statistical and qualitative analysis to make recommendations or decisions to meet business needs specifically with market data, sales data, trends, and financial data

  • 1st Shift - Monday-Friday 6a-2p

  • 2nd Shift - Sunday-Thursday 2p-10p plus additional $.75/hour shift premium

    Responsibilities:

    Order Fulfillment

  • Read requisitions and orders. Pull items to fill the order

  • Use electronic scanning device to pick orders and maintain inventory records. Note errors and/or problems

  • Understand product weights and types to maintain quality and avoid damage and spoilage of products

  • Pack and crate items in preparation for shipping and distribution

    Shipping

  • Properly stage and assemble completed orders for expedited loading and shipping

  • Scan and verify accuracy of packages being loaded with order documents to ensure proper piece counts, addresses and complete shipping reports

  • Follow procedures to wrap orders for shipping stability

  • If trained and/or certified, use mechanical equipment (forklift, pallet jack, etc.) to load trucks and or storage units

    Receiving

  • Use hand trucks, hoists, conveyors, forklifts (if certified) and other handling equipment to move material from trailers/dock to storage/racking within the facility

  • Read documents to ensure receipt of correct materials; report any discrepancies and/or damage of inbound materials

  • Unpack merchandise/materials

    General

  • Follow all safety procedures and rules established in the facility. Wear proper PPE. Steel Toe shoes areREQUIRED.

  • Keep all work areas clean and free of hazards. Notify supervisor of any safety hazards or damaged products

  • Actively participate in all safety and other training programs

As theWarehouse Quality Technician , you will perform a variety of tasks to meet quality and productivity standards to ensure that product is handled and shipped to our customers in a timely manner. You will also perform audits at various stages of the warehouse process to identify and correct user and system errors. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 months to 1 year of warehouse distribution experience and have thorough knowledge and understanding of distribution center operations. Openings on 1st, 2nd and 3rd Shift:

  • 1st Shift - Monday-Friday 6a-2p

  • 2nd Shift - Sunday-Thursday 2p-10p

  • 3rd Shift - Sunday-Thursday 10p-6a

    Responsibilities:

  • Perform audits at various stages of the warehouse process to identify and correct user and system errors

  • Use electronic scanning device to audit inventory as well as track movement of product within the warehouse

  • Scan and verify accuracy of packages being loaded with order documents to ensure proper item, quantity and destination

  • Document and report errors

  • Read and understand standard operating procedure documents to ensure proper Inbound and Outbound warehouse processes

  • Understand product weights and types to maintain quality and avoid damage and spoilage of products

  • Provide instant feedback to the users to help improve the overall quality standards of the department

  • Use warehouse management software to assist with locating orders and products within the warehouse

    Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 months warehouse experience

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and complete paperwork

  • Using company email consistently

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Forklift certification preferred

    Qualifications:

  • Able to quickly pick up on new processes and technologies without a lot of guidance Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to effectively manage and track multiple commitments; effectively prioritize, follow up, and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills; strong customer service focus; ability to inform, teach, and train

  • Working conditions are typical for a retail environment
