Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Project Manager focused on leading our Federal projects to be based in one of our Southern California offices. We are open to this person being seated in our Orange, San Diego or Los Angeles office.

Our Buildings + Places practice includes architecture, interiors, building and system engineering, urbanism and planning (inclusive of landscape design), strategy + (workplace consulting), economics, technology solutions, asset advisory, and cost and program management. This diverse team assists our clients from strategy through project realization, creating positive outcomes for those who occupy and use the buildings and environments we help to create. Our Southern California practice focuses on the Federal, Science and Technology, Higher Education and Healthcare market sectors. Job Summary/Responsibilities:

The Project Manager our team is seeking will lead and execute interdisciplinary projects that fall within our Federal market sector. Our Federal portfolio is a broad and diverse range of clients and project types with a focus on integrated A/E solutions. This leader will be responsible for managing scope, schedule, and budget of projects across the project lifecycle - from conceptual studies to full design and construction administration.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading the delivery of projects from proposal phase through Client handover.

  • Acts as primary point of contact for Clients and manages the relationship with all stakeholders.

  • Manages all aspects of a project including project needs and requirements, schedule, fees, deliverables, contract terms and conditions, and the like.

  • Coordination of internal and external project team members.

  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate; written, verbal, and presentations.

  • Provide senior management with project updates included status of project budget, deliverables, quality, and client relationship.

  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects

  • Will participate in project pursuits, including generation of Scope of Work, project team, fee production, and review of terms and conditions.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering or a related field

  • 4+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

  • Architectural Licensure or Professional Engineer

  • Due to the nature of work, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in a project leadership or management role overseeing complex architectural or engineering projects in the Federal market

  • PMP Certification is a plus

  • Comprehensive grasp of the design methodology and process

  • Proficient in conveying complex information in a clear and concise manner

  • Demonstrated ability to tailor communication style to different audiences and contexts

  • Demonstrates a keen eye for detail, exhibits thoroughness, maintains excellent organizational skills, and adeptly manages time

  • Team player with excellent listening skills and diplomacy

  • Proficiency in recognizing and comprehending various contract formats

  • Well versed in project management best practices such as earned value, change management, schedule management.

  • Exceptional organizational abilities - adept at managing concurrent tasks efficiently

  • Proactively goal-driven, capable of independent work, and skilled in navigating change with effectiveness

  • Experience participating in business development/marketing activities with existing and new clients

  • Proficient in REVIT

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Project and Power BI

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite; word, excel, PowerPoint

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $110,000.00 - $130,000.00.

Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Construction Project Manager I - Associate to be based in New York, NY. Will operate directly with the NYC SCA on projects related to schools throughout New York City and the surrounding boroughs. Will report to a Project Officer, Level I, II, III or to a Senior Project Officer. May perform a broad range of supportive and necessary school construction technical tasks of varying degrees of difficulty in a variety of assignments within the Construction Management Department.

Responsibilities:

  • Review documents submitted for City-required building and other permits for completeness and accuracy.

  • Provide support to permit applicants in completing the filing procedure with various City agencies.

  • Deliver documents to various city agencies for data entry, review and/or approval.

  • Research existing building status from City records at various agencies.

  • Perform related tasks.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in a related field plus no relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Shall have a four (4) year college degree from an accredited college related to construction management, architecture, or engineering, or

  • A two (2) years technical degree from accredited college and two (2) years of full-time experience performing: construction inspection and monitoring of construction projects, or

  • Will have a working knowledge of computer software system (e.g. Excel, Word).

  • A driver's license valid in New York State.

  • A satisfactory combination of education and experience.

We are seeking a SUE Field Supervisor in the Denver, CO area.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)

  • Hybrid position consisting of expected time spent split 75% field, 25% office.

  • Responsible for managing and day to day operations of multiple field crews.

  • Ensuring field teams adherence to AECOM's strict guidelines for safety and quality.

  • Responsible for creation, and maintenance of field crew schedule for field teams across numerous projects of diverse scope across multiple locations.

  • Ensure adherence to field schedule to ensure projects are completed within communicated schedule/budget.

  • Read and interpret utility drawings, as-builts, GIS Files and other forms of utility records data.

  • Initiate, track, and process, and document utility records requests with various Utility One Call Centers and Utility Owners/Operators.

  • Utilize a suite of advanced geophysical equipment (to include Ground Penetrating Radar), observational skills, and deductive reasoning to identify, designate and locate (vacuum excavation) all utilities within a requested job scope in accordance with American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) 38-02 & 38-22.

  • Utilize GPS and Total Station survey equipment in combination with Trimble Data Collectors and applications including Trimble Access and Trimble Mobile manager to survey utility features and line segments.

  • Perform field audits on previously investigated utilities and/or collected field data to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Perform QA/QC of SUE field data and performed by AECOM and its subcontractors.

  • Troubleshoot technical problems in the field.

  • Consistently and effectively communicate with field and office staff as well as Managers and Professionals in Charge to relay project information

  • Act as an advisor/mentor to junior field staff.

  • Occasional interaction with clients, utility representatives, business owners and/or homeowners.

In this role you'll have the opportunity to join our interdisciplinary team to manage projects related to National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance, state-level equivalent reviews, and environmental permitting. Your ability to manage NEPA projects; oversee staff; perform quality assurance and control; communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders; and write technical assessments related to NEPA compliance is critical.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical expertise in the social, environmental, or physical sciences and experience in contributing to complex environmental studies for land use planning and environmental management. This position requires excellent communication, technical, and writing skills; attention to detail; and the ability to work independently and as a part of an interdisciplinary team.   • 15+ years of relevant experience with NEPA compliance, environmental permitting, technical report writing, or project management

This position will be based in the southeast Michigan area and will work out of client traffic operations center facilities. The Traffic Operations Supervisor will oversee a team of technicians and operators, providing hands-on leadership and support. This role involves the management of daily operations, including traffic monitoring, incident detection, and response coordination. The successful candidate will ensure efficient and effective operations within the traffic operations center, maintaining high standards of communication and technical performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily activities of the traffic operations center, ensuring adherence to established procedures and protocols.

Qualifications

AECOM is seeking a dynamic and experienced Client Account Manager to drive business growth for Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro). This external facing leader will represent AECOM with Metro and be responsible for business development, sales, and strategy across all divisions for this key client with a goal of winning new and repeat business for all of AECOM's service offerings. This position is expected to begin immediately.

Job Summary/Responsibilities

The candidate will need to be a growth minded leader who can work collaboratively with other senior leaders in Transportation and other Business Lines, and mentor staff in a fast pace setting to drive strategic planning, business development, sales & marketing, opportunity identification, capture management, and relationship building. The candidate should be able to demonstrate an ability to listen to, understand, and meet client needs to serve as a trusted advisor; knowledge of the transportation planning, engineering, and construction industry; and develop knowledge of the company and be able to bring AECOM's full suite of support services to meet Metro's needs. The candidate must be able to communicate their ideas clearly and convincingly verbally and visually to peers and senior leadership.

The responsibilities of this position may include, but are not limited to:

  • Fully accountable for all business development activities with Metro.

  • Represent AECOM and serve a point of contact with Metro Leadership.

  • Review and understand AECOM's obligations on current Metro contracts. Works with Regional Business Line Leader and operations team to facilitate successful project delivery, including rate negotiations strategy.

  • Manage the AECOM Metro Client Account Team. Set strategic direction to business development with Metro.

  • Regularly meet with staff from multiple levels of Metro to obtain feedback on AECOM's performance, understand and serve needs, and proactively identify opportunities.

  • Position AECOM for pursuits and promote AECOM capabilities in front of the client.

  • Leads preparation of Client Account Plan, coach pursuit teams in the development of winning Opportunity Capture Plans and coordinate resources with Marketing Lead. May serve as capture manager for Enterprise Critical Pursuits.

  • Develop and execute pursuit strategies to increase market share across Metro's pipeline of opportunities and coordinates pursuits among different disciplines.

  • Monitor client satisfaction and addresses performance issues.

  • Ensure Metro continues to be a sustainable source of repeat business.

  • Work with Regional Business Line Leader and Director of Growth for West Coast, Division Managers, and Pacific Northwest Business Development Leader on development of sales, strategies and opportunities.

  • Develop and executes a Metro focused conference plan. Maintain a high profile with Metro and transportation industry. Attend conferences and workshops to strengthen existing Metro relationships and establish new Metro relationships.

  • Has a keen understanding of industry trends and market drivers.

  • Provides leadership in recruiting, training, and retaining top talent for Metro opportunities and projects.

Key performance indicators for this role include client satisfaction survey responses, Net Service Revenue (NSR) wins, NSR bookings, and NSR delivered.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, planning, engineering, architecture, or a related field

  • 10 years of professional experience in transportation industry

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in business development, and strong existing relationships with Metro

  • Existing relationships within the transportation community in the Los Angeles region, and active involvement in relevant professional organizations

  • Demonstrated success in leading and wining proposals with Metro

  • Team-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

  • Strong understanding of best practices in capture process for professional services

  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM systems

  • Apply solid working knowledge of company quality procedures and approval processes (legal, contracts, DOA, signatory).

  • Liaise with appropriate/relevant business line team, operations, technical, and business development professionals to support or develop marketing information (including but not limited to case studies/project sheets and capabilities summaries).

  • Provide guidance to entry level proposal team members

  • Perform a self-check of work prior to submitting to others for review/approval

  • Support special projects as required, including providing guidance to entry-level proposal team members.

The Surface Water Division of AECOM is actively seeking a Water Resources Leader for our Chicago water resources group which specializes in H&H modeling, dam removal, ecosystem/stream restoration, drainage design, and civil works design. AECOM is seeking a highly talented Sr. Marketing Proposal Specialist to work in collaboration with the East Region business development and operations team on pursuits, including partnering in the preparation of formal and informal client solicitations, including expressions of interest (EOI), requests for qualifications (RFQ), requests for proposals (RFP), and pre-qualification efforts.

This will be a remote position that can be based in, but is not limited to: Tampa, FL; Coral Gables, FL; Miami, FL; Orlando, FL; West Palm Beach, FL; Raleigh, NC; Richmond, VA.

Job Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist with large proposals and able to lead small to medium proposals (cross regions or business lines), and support from capture through to interview stage, as required.

  • Under limited supervision or general direction, coordinate/complete content and information for qualifications and proposals, including schedule, templates, compliance, content plan and production. Provide conceptual leadership for document design. May serve as lead writer/editor for resumes and past performance sections for proposals.

  • May facilitate color reviews (pink and red team), and apply lessons learned to add value to proposals. Manages the implementation of proposal and presentation revisions based on direction from review teams.

  • Participate in go/no-go and green light analyses in compliance with delegation of authority guidelines, capture planning and positioning activities as they pertain to preparation for the proposal.

  • Complete internal debriefs for proposals and review debriefs and client feedback on proposals to ensure and demonstrate continuous improvement.

  • Apply solid working knowledge of company quality procedures and approval processes (legal, contracts, DOA, signatory).

  • Liaise with appropriate/relevant business line team, operations, technical, and business development professionals to support or develop marketing information (including but not limited to case studies/project sheets and capabilities summaries).

  • Provide guidance to entry level proposal team members

  • Perform a self-check of work prior to submitting to others for review/approval

  • Support special projects as required, including providing guidance to entry-level proposal team members.

AECOM has positions available for a bilingual Community Engagement Specialists to serve on the six-member Club Ride Event Squad in Las Vegas, Nevada. This is a part-time position with approximately 20 hours per week staffing community outreach events. Bilingual capabilities in spanish/english.

As a member of the Club Ride Event Squad, you will be responsible for staffing Club Ride events and presentations at locations across Clark County. These events emphasize engaging with the community, promote green transportation options and support Club Ride's program goals. Events range broadly from employer events, benefits fairs, new hire orientations, community events, and bicycle safety education events, among others. You will educate commuters/travelers about transportation options and the benefits, help them determine the best options, plan travel via transit and other modes, promote special events like bike month and commuter challenges, register individuals for Club Ride programs and services and teach them how to use the website and app. You will work in a fast-paced team environment.

Club Ride is a program of the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) that works with the business community, regional stakeholders and residents to reduce traffic congestion and travel emissions in Southern Nevada. The program provides education, services and promotions that encourage the use of transit, active transportation, carpooling and vanpooling as a means to improve quality of live in the community.

The responsibilities of this position include, but may not be limited to, the following:

  • Conduct onsite events, promotions and marketing activities at partner sites to promote alternative mode use and register employees for Club Ride programs and services

  • Bilingually communicate with community and partners in English and Spanish

  • Effectively communicate persuasively with individuals to influence, motivate, and inform travelers in the use of travel options

  • Maintain a solid understanding of the Club Ride program to answer program and service related questions accurately and professionally

  • Execute prescheduled community outreach events in Clark County

Job Description

The Surface Water Division of AECOM is actively seeking a Water Resources Leader for our Dallas/Ft. Worth water resources group which specializes in H&H modeling, dam removal, ecosystem/stream restoration, urban drainage design, and civil works design. The candidate would be based out of AECOM's Dallas, Texas office. Some work can be performed remotely.

The Water Resources Leader will be an expert seller/doer in H&H modeling and engineering design. This individual will be a creative and highly talented technical leader responsible for the oversight, management and business development of large, complex local, state, and federal projects. Depending on the candidate's technical specialty, projects may include H&H modeling, dam removal, ecosystem/stream restoration, urban drainage design, civil works design, and other water resources planning and design projects.

The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career with strong client contacts, relationships and engineering experience with Local, State, and Federal water resources clients in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metro Area and the State of Texas.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Win work by leading and/or supporting major pursuits. Maintain strong relationships with targeted key clients to position AECOM in the market to win major opportunities and deliver to the highest standard.

  • Be a leader within the water resources industry, maintaining strong relationships with targeted senior clients to enable a deep understanding of their needs. Promote a client-focused culture through this leadership.

  • Leads and develops high performing team members and teams. Maximizes engagement and retention, demonstrating personal leadership of AECOM's cultural standards; fosters an inclusive environment where people succeed and fulfill their potential.

  • Active involvement in business and staff development across Dallas/Ft, Worth Metro Area and the State of Texas, and collaboration with other offices within AECOM's West Region and beyond.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS + 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field

  • 2+ years of leadership experience

  • 10+ years of proven Project Management experience

  • Experience with project management requirements and systems

  • Experience or interest in business operations and internal finance

  • Knowledge of technical software and modeling

  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months of work

  • Strong team leader with excellent interpersonal skills who effectively works with and supports team members

  • Collaborative; shares knowledge, experience, ideas and expertise for the betterment of group and self

  • Is diligent and able to work consistently to deadlines under tight time frames

  • Good understanding of the Texas market and state agencies, and ability to support marketing efforts in pursuing work

  • Public presentation experience

Additional Information

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $140,000.00 - $170,000.00.
