Description
Apple's AMT Audio group is seeking an experienced software engineer with strong low-level coding and prototyping skills who can bridge the gap between hardware and software. This position will work with the Audio Design, Silicon Engineering, and Silicon Validation Teams, prototyping bring-up sequences, designing and developing drivers for audio hardware peripherals, and expanding internal tools to facilitate bring-up for new SoC and hardware designs. Responsibilities will span pre-silicon development and all aspects of project-based audio driver design and software development. Your dedication to cross-disciplinary collaboration will help develop groundbreaking technologies, such as iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience in silicon and pre-silicon bring-up.
Excellent programming (C/C++/Assembly) and scripting skills (Python).
Excellent profiling skills with proficiency in debugging large, complex system software.
Background in low-level software development and system integration.
Ability to translate hardware data sheets into software.
Good understanding of multi-core embedded HW Systems and RTOS.
Highly motivated and self-directed, quick learner.
BE/ME, BS/MS in Computer Science, or Equivalent.

As a Release Validation FCS QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all over-the-air and tethered software updates for macOS, iOS, watchOS, tvOS and visionOS are of the highest quality. You will work closely with multi-functional teams, including software engineers, project managers, and quality assurance engineers, to develop and implement test plans, scripts, and automated tests. In addition, you will perform manual testing of the software update flow to ensure that update process continues to work flawlessly. Using your expertise in testing methodologies, you will need to identify, raise, and communicate issues, and work towards resolutions on the critical issues affecting the update flow.

Description
We're looking for a motivated engineer with excellent programming, problem solving and communication skills. In this role, you will be working on design and development of systems software to help improve battery usage and performance of Apple products. This includes building infrastructure/platform for data collection, storage, querying to model energy usage, performance and server impact of different apps and software services. You would also be developing real-time analysis mechanisms to detect/mitigate issues and using analytics to understand large scale trends. To be successful in this role, you must have a solid foundation in software design/architecture coupled with good systems software understanding and excellent debug/triage skills.

Description
Responsible for handling and completing the post silicon validation and characterization test plans across Process, Voltage and Temperature (PVT). Debug various issues encountered along the way such as setup artifacts, test code, logic bugs, and physical design debugs. Understand new chip features and define coverage applicable to test environment. Execute a validation test on large volume and analyze results such as pass, failure, artifacts and surprises. -Design and layout high density printed circuit boards (PCBs) using Cadence Allegro -Design from early placement through routing and final rule checks. -Place high density and high quantity (up to 10000+) of components -Thorough and extensive understanding of Cadence Allegro.
