We are currently hiring for a School Fundraising Director . The Director will primarily handle the overall implementation and promotion of our K-12 school fundraising campaigns in central MN, down to the North Metro of the Twin Cities and up to Grand Rapids/Duluth area. This Director will also oversee our Heart Walk in Detroit Lakes. The ideal candidate will be located in the Twin Cities, St Cloud, Brainerd, or Duluth areas.

This is fast paced sales type of position with the main accountability of driving revenue. Competitive salary with incentive potential is offered. Director will be based in a home office.

We have a fast-paced sales type of environment with the main responsibility of driving revenue in support of our mission. We offer a base salary with the potential to earn an incentive up to 25% of your base pay. The potential incentive is based on achieving certain revenue targets and triggers.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and secure school participation using sales methods.

  • Recruit, train, and motivate School Volunteers (mainly PE teachers but not exclusively) to implement and coordinate our school programs in fundraising and achieve the fundraising goal to further our mission.

  • Lead kick-off assemblies at schools holding event where applicable.

  • Ensure each school has the materials and resources needed to have a successful event.

  • Perform summer cultivation with school administrators at both the school and district level.

  • Solicit corporate sponsorships in the summer for school educational programs.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of relevant experience in fundraising, sales, or equivalent type experience; New grads are encouraged to apply!

  • Ability to do daily local travel up to 75%; requires access to reliable transportation at all times on an immediate basis

  • Ability to lift and/or move large objects (such as boxes) with the expectation that heavier items would be broken down into smaller components or requesting additional assistance may be required before lifting and/or moving

  • Must have at least basic knowledge and skill/proficiency with Microsoft Office

Internship Overview:

  • Time Commitment: 20-25 hours per week

  • Travel will be required to events within Central AR and the surrounding service territory. Reliable transportation is required.

This would include preparing/submitting proposals for Proposal Pro, Attachment A's and all tasks associated with that system. Work collaboratively with other Sr. Development Specialist on Heart Ball and Sweetheart related contracts. Coordinate logistics for auxiliary events and virtual events.

  • Oversee and handle all aspects related to the office facilities and general office including ordering supplies for the office, work with building maintenance contractor when repairs or maintenance are required, pay invoices as needed.

  • Ensure accuracy and adherence to the latest policies and practices as they relate to fiscal and event financials. Ensure expenses for events are coordinated with Sr. Director Heart Ball and Go Red for Women Director as well as monitor event budget. Coordinate and track invoicing, expenses, and peripheral accounts for events. Prepare and distribute reports as requested.

  • Maintain data entry of sponsorships, donations, auction items and bids and other financial gifts for Heart Ball, Teens of Impact/Sweethearts, Go Red for Women and Circle of Red.

  • Maintain the attendance, fundraising, ticket/table sales, and other records of the Teen of Impact/Sweetheart and Circle of Red programs.

  • Prepare and communicate schedules and meetings, and ensure deadlines are met. Ensure markets are meeting deadlines for successful event production.

  • Train volunteers and run assignments onsite during event. Act as volunteer liaison.

  • Travel will be required to events within Little Rock, Hot Springs, and the surrounding service territory.

  • Serve on relevant coalitions or committees throughout the community which may include attendance at meetings or events during evenings or weekends.

  • Identify and assist in recruiting diverse volunteers to serve in leadership roles across the market.

  • Collaborate with development staff partners and volunteers to identify, cultivate, and secure program funding, including sponsorship (cash and in-kind) for relevant campaigns, and help activate partnerships as needed.

  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, including regional and state-level health strategies colleagues, to ensure that local opportunities are aligned with the American Heart Association's agenda at the state and region level.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years' experience working with community/public health issues and/or managing community/public health promotion or related educational programs.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with development staff partners and volunteers to identify, cultivate, and secure program funding, including sponsorship (cash and in-kind) for relevant campaigns, and help activate partnerships as needed.

  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, including regional and state-level health strategies colleagues, to ensure that local opportunities are aligned with the American Heart Association's agenda at the state and region level.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years' experience working with community/public health issues and/or managing community/public health promotion or related educational programs.

  • Understanding of local health systems, relationships with hospitals, health clinics, and Federally Qualified Health Centers preferred.

  • Speaking Spanish is a highly preferred skill for this position.

  • Proven ability to recruit, mobilize and manage volunteers.

  • Develop and present proposals and accompanying materials to secure revenue and volunteer engagement.

  • Recruit and be responsible for executive volunteer leadership, volunteer committees, and day-of-the-event volunteers.

  • Recruit corporate team participation in Heart Walk and motivate team members to fundraise.

  • Coordinate the event auction including leading a committee of volunteers to solicit auction items and prepare packages that will raise funds.

  • Lead and engage new individual membership for our Cor Vitae giving society, in partnership with other appropriate fundraising staff. Includes planning and implementing regular engagement events for members.

  • Plan and implement events in collaboration with internal and external partners.

  • Work with a Communications Director to support and promote campaign communication plans.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of relevant experience in fundraising, sales, or equivalent type experience

  • Ability to do daily local travel up to 50%; requires access to reliable transportation at all times on an immediate basis

  • Ability to lift and/or move large objects (such as boxes) with the expectation that heavier items would be broken down into smaller components or requesting additional assistance may be required before lifting and/or moving

  • Must have earned a high school diploma or GED.

  • Experience and skill in using a database management system, preferably a CRM specific program; Experience and skill using Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite is desired.

This internship with our national Policy Research team will provide hands-on experience with translating science into policy positions to support our advocacy work at the local, state, and federal levels. The internship provides an opportunity to collaborate with members of the Policy Research team and with different teams across the Advocacy department including our Federal Advocacy, Field Advocacy, and Grassroots teams.

The American Heart Association's Internship Program provides college students an opportunity for hands-on experience in various facets for individuals interested in gaining work experience with a non-profit, voluntary health organization.

Internship Overview:

  • Time Commitment: 20-25 hours per week

  • Internship Duration: 1/16/2024-5/3/2024

  • Salary: $23.00 per hour

Responsibilities

Tasks could include things like the following:

  • Reporting to the National Senior Policy Analyst for prevention on the Policy Research team, our intern will support the Policy Research team in translating science into evidence-based policy on a wide variety of topics including tobacco, nutrition, access to care, and more.

  • The intern will complete research tasks as assigned, such as conducting literature reviews and compiling background research on our areas of interest.

  • The intern will support the development of content for resources such as policy briefs, fact sheets, regulatory comments, and other materials that supports positions, and provide foundational information for AHA's advocacy efforts.

  • The intern will participate in meetings, workshops, and webinars with external stakeholders, government agencies, coalitions, and working groups related to AHA's advocacy efforts.

Qualifications

  • College juniors, seniors, and graduate students pursuing a degree in public policy, public health, or related fields are encouraged to apply.

  • Experience in public policy and/or an interest in advocacy and healthcare is strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated skills in effective one-on-one and group communications and comfort working with professionals, academics, and learners across diverse disciplines and geographies.

  • Ability to deal professionally in a corporate or non-profit environment and assume responsibility for guiding projects and programs from inception through completion.

  • Effective oral, written, and presentation communication skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment managing multiple priorities involving multiple entities.

  • Intermediate to excellent proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

  • Required Equipment: Reliable WiFi Connection

  • Minimum availability of 20 hrs/wk, M-F between the hours of 8:30am-5pm. Some flexibility in scheduling may be required when communicating with international partners in different time zones.

We have a fast-paced sales type of environment with the main responsibility of driving revenue in support of our mission. We offer a base salary with the potential to earn an incentive up to 25% of your base pay. The potential incentive is based on achieving certain revenue targets and triggers.

Responsibilities

  • Generate revenue by prospecting and securing local corporate sponsorship and individual donations. Achieve revenue goals by building and maintaining relationships with corporate partners and donors.

  • Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective corporate sponsors and individual donors by conducting research that matches the campaign goals and the Association's mission.

  • Recruit, cultivate and be responsible for executive volunteer leadership.

  • Lead and engage new individual membership for our Cor Vitae and Circle of Red giving societies, in partnership with other appropriate fundraising staff. Includes planning and implementing regular engagement events for members.

  • Develop and present proposals and accompanying materials to secure revenue and volunteer engagement.

  • Plan and implement events in collaboration with internal and external partners.

  • Work with a Communications Director to support and promote campaign communication plans.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of relevant experience in fundraising, sales, or equivalent type experience

  • Ability to do daily local travel; requires access to reliable transportation at all times on an immediate basis

  • Ability to lift and/or move large objects (such as boxes) with the expectation that heavier items would be broken down into smaller components or requesting additional assistance may be required before lifting and/or moving

  • Must have at least basic knowledge and skill/proficiency with Microsoft Office

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks/projects.

Responsibilities

The Associate Vice Present will plan, coordinate, staff, and advise the Philadelphia market's entire operation of the Heart Challenge campaign initiatives.   • Guide and direct assigned staff to reach fundraising goals. Accountable for hiring, directing, training, evaluating, and terminating staff under their supervision.

  • Ensuring your team meets/exceeds annual revenue goals for the Philadelphia market.

  • Engage, recruit, and mobilize CEOs, corporate leaders, and community leaders to serve on Heart Challenge volunteer leadership committees and chair the event to ensure fundraising and health outcome success. This includes encouraging personal and corporate giving of volunteer leaders.

  • Lead existing and new sponsorships and relationships to achieve campaign goal through the cultivation, stewardship, renewal, and deepening engagement via frequent face-to-face meetings to retain and upgrade their financial dedication, according to the Heart Challenge timeline and business plan.

  • Lead coordinated planning processes for the Heart Challenge's health and revenue efforts for all functional areas. Actively involve, inform, and integrate with internal partners across the metro market, region, and association.

  • Research, identify, and acquire companies to have Heart Challenge teams. Empower employers toward establishing recruitment and monetary goals based on market potential and their role in achieving goals.

  • Engage, recruit, and mobilize individuals to serve as conduits (team captains) to recruiting walkers.

  • Develop and lead/monitor Heart Challenge budget within span of control and internal business operations in accordance with policies, fiscal standards, and the approved operating budget.

  • Prepares plans, documents, and communications for GAP (getting to goal) meetings, revenue projection updates, and other priority meetings as they arise.

  • Lead event logistics including, but not limited to, event promotions, entertainment, live and silent auctions (as market appropriate.

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to implement market strategies, build blended sponsorships and relationships with volunteers and other campaigns.

Qualifications

Qualifications

The American Heart Association's Internship Program provides college students an opportunity for hands-on experience in various facets for individuals interested in gaining work experience with a non-profit, voluntary health organization. The employer branding and recruitment marketing internship will work with the Employer Branding and Recruitment Marketing Manager, Talent Attraction team, and #TheAHALife Ambassadors to gain professional experience with a national non-profit organization while working directly to influence the employer brand and create compelling content for #TheAHALife social media channels.

Internship Overview:

Responsibilities

  • Generate new employer branding and recruitment marketing content ideas and help monitor trends on social platforms, in collaboration with the Employer Brand and Recruiting Marketing Program Manager (EBRM, Program Manager.

  • Organize content and help craft an employer brand content calendar that aligns with our EVP, #TheAHALife culture, and the mission of the Association.

  • Create promotional materials for Talent Attraction purposes using various graphic design tools, as needed.

  • Work with the EBRM Program Manager to plan, craft, and execute compelling vertical video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other social media platforms.

  • Monitor results of social media content data on key platforms and provide analysis of findings.

  • Assist in the execution of #TheAHALife Ambassador monthly calls before, during, and after.

  • Conduct an analysis of what other organizations and employer brands are doing on social media and present findings to the Employer Brand Recruitment Marketing Manager.

Qualifications

  • Currently majoring or minoring in Marketing & Communications or Branding. Or majoring or minoring in Human Resources or Human Resources related field.

  • Knowledge and experience with in-app editing tools on TikTok and Instagram Reels.

  • Basic video, graphic design, and writing skills.

  • Experience with social media influencing, monitoring, reporting, and analysis.

  • Effective oral, written, and presentation communication skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment managing multiple priorities involving multiple entities.

  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Outlook and PowerPoint, Canva.

  • Minimum availability of 20 hrs/wk, M-F between 8:30am-5pm CT.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship, now or in the future. For any roles working remotely, the work must also be performed inside the United States, not in a foreign country.

Responsibilities

The International Product Development Manager, Professional Education is responsible for leading the development of translated versions of lifesaving CPR, first aid, and other global healthcare content, learning programs, and products. This individual is responsible for managing the development, translation, localization, volunteer reviews, revisions, quality standards, fiscal management, and on-time deliveries for assigned products through (1) being responsible for the development, localization and translation of products from start to finish; (2) working with project management to develop project plans and procedures; (3) collaborating with AHA staff, vendors, and volunteers to achieve quality standards; (4) maintaining fiscal oversight and adherence to established budgets; and (5) ongoing evaluation and revisions for the life of the language portfolio.

  • Develops integrated working relationships with AHA staff and volunteers involved in the core content development to produce more globalized content, and a smooth hand-over of materials for localization and translation.

  • Leads cross-functional project teams in the development, localization and translation of content, portfolios, and products. Ensures project team's adherence to a general product development process used across the department and develops sub-processes for project-specific tasks as needed.

  • Develops an understanding of the product, intended audience, content organization and modes of delivery for assigned products. Leads adherence to product, language, and content specific style guides for internal and external use.

  • Facilitates determination and implementation of changes, and reviews content to confirm accurate implementation of edits or changes to ensure that translated materials meet AHA standards for accuracy before publication.

  • Partners with a project manager to develop project scope and timelines. Lead the development project and ensure all internal and external team members meet the deadlines outlined in project plans.

  • Proactively coordinates and collaborates with the AHA Science & Health Advisor, the designated scientific authority (in-country subject matter expert), and the core product team to achieve scientific approval and signoff of major localization recommendations. Review and triage localization recommendations from the field.

  • Identifies product and localization challenges with a focus on the solution by performing corrective/preventative action.

  • Works well in a team environment and proactively contributes to departmental goals of improving processes and product specifications for rapid content updates.

  • Proactively collaborates and effectively communicates across cross-functional project teams to ensure a uniformed goal: project efficacy, consistency, on-time launch and on budget.

  • Trains, motivates, and engages volunteers and subject matter experts and applies volunteer expertise across projects.

  • Manages budgets and contracts for adherence to approved scope for assigned projects.

Qualifications
