Position Summary
Our graduate hire positions are for those who have recently graduated and are looking to launch their career. Regional programs and opportunities are available in a variety of fields. There's a good chance we have an opportunity that's just right for you.
The selected candidate will be assigned to one of our functional groups in an Entry Level Construction Management position and asked to assist in estimating, cost control, forecasting, trend analysis, change order control, risk assessment and management, forensic schedule analysis, earned value management, progress measurement/reporting, productivity analysis and calculation, subcontractor management, schedule development, progress reporting, vendor management, field engineering, site safety and overall product quality.
Join the team in our Syracuse NY office on a wireless telecom project where you will be assisting the group with engineering and constructing the expansion of a wireless network. This position will work remotely but may require meeting in an office environment as needed and travel as needed.

We are currently seeking a Information Systems Watch Technician to support a customer facility in the Arlington, VA area. This is a contingent position which requires the ability to obtain a DoD TS/SCI security clearance with special access prior to starting employment.

The COMET contract provides overall management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing, and launch operations at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Engineering Services and Science Capability Augmentation (ESSCA) Team Leads serve as first line supervisors and oversee the Task Orders and personnel that support the requirements defined in the ESSCA Performance Work Statement, plus any additional skills that may be required as the ESSCA contract matures. The COMET contract provides overall management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing, and launch operations at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. These tasks will support the International Space Station, Ground Systems Development and Operations, and the Space Launch System, Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle, and Launch Services programs.
The COMET Integration Engineer (CIE) provides ground engineering integration activities for NASA KSC Exploration Ground Systems (EGS) and Artemis Programs with a focus on the Pad. The CIE will be technically proficient and experienced with ground processes to facilitate and lead the resolution of technical design issues, communication and coordination of engineering changes, and implementation of new engineering requirements across the subsystems and components within their assigned Element or area of responsibility. This integration is provided for both internal and external customers of the COMET Engineering Directorate.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead internal integration of subsystems within the assigned element for the resolution of integrated technical issues, communication and impact of technical changes, and the implementation of new engineering requirements across all groups within COMET Engineering.
- Provide external integration for the resolution of integrated design issues, assessment of technical changes, and implementation of new engineering requirements that impact the assigned area of responsibility between COMET Engineering and other directorates (Spaceflight Processing, Ground Support Systems, Command and Control, and Safety and Mission Assurance. Some examples include, but are not limited to, assessing and impacting Requirement Change Notices (RCNs), Interface Revision Notices (IRNs), COMET Work Requests (CWRs), Engineering Support Requests (ESRs), and Engineering-to-Follow (ETF) Non-Conformances.
- Support external integration for the resolution of integrated technical issues, communication of technical changes, and implementation of new engineering requirements that impact the assigned area of responsibility between COMET Engineering and NASA EGS Program (LX), NASA KSC Engineering (NE), and the OEM's (e.g., LM, Boeing, and NG). This includes support to forums such as program configuration change boards, Chief Engineer reviews, Performance Management Team (PMT) meetings, technical interface working groups/meetings, as well as processing enhancements and lessons learned initiatives.
- Facilitate the consistent and accurate assessment of risk, resource allocation, and schedule within the assigned element. Working with management, when necessary, to ensure that proper resources are assigned to projects/tasks to meet assigned design or operational milestones.
- Provide up and out communication pertaining to engineering issues and changes within the assigned element to the Associate Chief Engineers and Chief Engineers so it can be assessed at the discipline level and communicated effectively across elements.
- Attend daily Chief Engineer tag-ups and Ops status meetings
- Initiate, facilitate, and support technical changes that lead to improvements in EGS and COMET safety, reliability, process efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
- Establish and promote quality activities in accordance with the COMET Quality Management Policy. Determine the quality requirements and characteristics of the products/services produced, set goals, evaluate performance, instigate action to attain and exceed goals, and recognize achievement. Seek continual quality improvements.
- Be familiar with KDDMS to review engineering documentation, and Maximo and Solumina to be comfortable navigating the software to review NCs and the proposed corrective actions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in engineering or technical equivalent from an accredited institution, and at least ten (10) years of experience and/or an advanced degree.

Job Requirements
- Possess experience in a progressively challenging technical leadership position, including successfully leading projects and/or teams.

- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, if necessary.
Physical Requirements
- Will be required to climb stairs to access equipment for trouble shooting.
- Will be required to wear hearing protection, eye protection, and other associated personal protective equipment.
- Position may involve extended periods of sitting or standing.
- Physical requirements are sitting, walking, standing, extensive use of stairs, and access to remote structures.
- Position is located on a hazardous testing facility; must be able to quickly evacuate buildings in the event of an emergency.
Work Environment
- Will be required to work inside and outside throughout the test complex.
- Position may require individual to travel daily to different areas on site.
- Walking on uneven terrain including paved areas, gravel/rocks, and dirt/sand, is required to access various locations on the facility.
- Climbing ladders and platforms may be necessary.
- All work must be completed in a safe manner in accordance with NASA and company safety standards.
Equipment and Machines
- Computers and printers used for producing reports and schedules.
- Variety of equipment used in research.
Attendance
- Full-time work hours between Monday and Friday.
- Position may require occasional overtime, including weekend work, depending on task.
- Must be dependable and punctual.
- Shift work may be required.
Other Essential Functions
- Must be able to accurately communicate ideas in writing and verbal communication.
- Must be able to travel to support position requirements. This may include travel to and from customer location, which may involve airline travel. In some cases, accommodations can be made for POV, if necessary.
- Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
- Must comply with all -drug free workplace- requirements as mandated by directives issued by the appropriate federal contracting officer and the company, which requires drug testing for use of illegal drugs by employees in sensitive positions.
