We are searching for a Top Secret cleared Cloud Solutions Architect (Senior) to join our team in Huntsville, AL.

You will be working in an organization that's mission is to accelerate operations through data and new analytical insights. The entire section leverages SAFe agile and works to provide the entire enterprise with tools and applications to assist with operational data discovery, data exploitation, data analytics, and data visualization tools. The section works closely with the entire enterprise to ensure its applications and tools meet or exceed the needs of the mission.

The Cloud Solutions Architect (Senior) is a part of a team that will lead large scale data analysis projects to designs and delivers on premises and cloud-based applications.

The Cloud Solutions Architect (Senior) is responsible for developing strategies for cloud-based platforms. Translates business needs into long-term architecture solutions. Develops and designs solutions as needed, evaluating multiple software platforms, and integrating systems. Able to design automation for cloud resources using DevOps best practices. Acts as highest-level technical expert, addressing problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms. Responsible for project completion. Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management. May lead a large development team in the design of highly complex software systems.

This position is located in Huntsville, AL and is an exciting opportunity for cleared talent with a Top Secret clearance to work the program.

Our Nuclear Projects and Consulting group is a Tier 1 service provider to the U.S. Department of Energy, we deliver safe and innovative solutions at complex nuclear cleanup and production sites. Our services include program management, decommissioning, environmental remediation, waste and nuclear material management, nuclear operations, consulting, and engineering, and construction.

We are looking to add a Structural Engineer to our growing engineering team out at the Spent Fuel Handling Project in Scoville, ID. As a Structural Engineer, you will oversee contractor's daily work activity for concrete, steel, and foundations on site for the Department of Energy project . Additionally, p erform structural design calculations and evaluations as needed for the project. This position is client facing with an emphasis on ensuring quality, schedule, and cost. You will participate in planning, field oversight, inspections, scheduling, general design, design change disposition and procurement tasks as assigned.

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering

  • 4 or more years of relevant engineering experience

  • Professional Engineering registration in Idaho or ability to obtain within 6 months via reciprocity

  • Field Engineering or Resident Engineering experience with steel, concrete, and foundations

  • Ability to work daily at the Idaho National Lab

  • Thorough knowledge of engineering and construction practices, and the ability to read and interpret plans and specifications and technical submittals for compliance

  • Working knowledge of computer software systems for processing submittals, includes Microsoft Office suite and databases

  • Ability to maintain continuous communication with the Contract Manager, Project Controls Manager, Senior Engineer(s), and Client personnel.

  • Must be able to walk long distances over potential rough terrain in all types of typical weather conditions. Exposure to weather elements while in the field is expected.

Overview:

This position is part of the Space Exploration Group (JSEG) support to the NASA EM32 Welding & Manufacturing (W&M) team under the Engineering Services and Science Capability Augmentation (ESSCA) contract to the NASA MSFC Engineering Directorate.

Responsibilities:

The primary focus of this position is manufacturing large aluminum aerospace structures using both friction stir welding and fusion welding processes. Education and experience relevant to this position will be evaluated from that perspective. The position's primary responsibilities are to:

  1. Develop welding techniques, procedures, and application of welding equipment to problems involving fabrication of metals, utilizing knowledge of production specifications, properties and characteristics of metals and metal alloys, and engineering principles.

  2. Conduct research and development investigations to develop and test new welding processes and procedures, improve existing or develop new welding equipment, develop new or modify current welding methods, techniques, and procedures, discover new patterns of welding phenomena, or to correlate and substantiate hypotheses.

Qualifications:

BS degree in Welding Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited university is required. Typically, educational requirements are the equivalent of a minimum of a Master's degree with at least 23 years of experience, or BS with at least 25 years of experience. The selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain permission to operate customer-owned vehicles in support of work activities. The selected candidate must possess and maintain a valid driver's license, automobile liability insurance and successfully complete a company defensive driving training class. Overview:

The Space Exploration Group (JSEG) Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GN&C) team is a high performing group executing challenging tasks to design and integrate GN&C systems for projects ranging from CubeSats to NASA's Space Launch System (SLS). We are searching for highly qualified candidates to support the design, development, and oversight of the Human Lander Systems Program in the Control Systems Design and Analysis branch at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center as a Controls, Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis Subject Matter Expert. This exciting work will serve as a critical step in sending humans back to the Moon, Mars and beyond!

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and/or oversee the development, verification, and validation of launch vehicle, spacecraft, and lander control systems.

  • Model, develop, simulate, and analyze launch vehicle, spacecraft, and lander control system performance and stability including during touchdown.

  • Interface with HLS partners to seek understanding of their design/test data and potentially participate in partners' tests.

  • Periodically analyze HLS partner' flight data and present findings to NASA management.

  • Mentor junior engineers in conducting control system modeling, simulation, and analysis.

  • Resolve complex problems pertaining to the design, development, analysis, integration, evaluation, testing, and verification of control systems and 6-DoF models and simulations.

  • Develop, modify, maintain, and improve software simulations, tools, and scripts.

  • Configure, conduct, and analyze 6-DoF Monte Carlo simulations.

  • Conduct trades studies and/or sensitivity analyses related to launch vehicles and spacecraft control.

  • Create, edit, and debug software written in Matlab, Simulink, and Simscape.

  • Prepare and present technical reports and/or briefings including visualization of results.

  • Create and review engineering and software documentation.

A degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field is required. A Degree from an ABET accredited institution is preferred. Typical experience requirements are the equivalent of a PhD with at least 4 years of experience, a master's with at least 8 years of experience, or BS with at least 10 years of experience.

Required skills/experience:

  • Design and development of flight control systems (PID, state space, etc.) and actuator allocation (manual jet selection, quadratic programming, pseudo inverse, etc.) including TVC and RCS/Phase plane.

  • Analyzing system performance in the time and frequency domain (Nichols, Bode, Nyquist, Root Locus, etc.) using parametric, Monte Carlo, and statistical techniques.

  • Proficiency modeling, simulating, and analyzing the performance of launch vehicles, spacecraft, and landers.

  • Modeling of spacecraft components/subsystems including Thrust Vector Control (TVC) actuators, Reaction Control System (RCS) thrusters, slosh, pogo, rigid and/or flexible body dynamics, and/or sensors.
