This role requires an individual with excellent analytical abilities and security operations acumen, with exceptional written and oral communication skills. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of different security principles, underlying data analytics, and the ability to assimilate new methodologies and data sources. They will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, vocally self-critical, an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. They will analyze large amounts of security data, discover and solve problems and build metrics and business cases to help security teams to make decisions.
The US ADC Security team is looking for an experienced Business Analyst with strong SQL skills to define and standardize reporting mechanisms that currently vary or do not exist. This position will be responsible for working with the team to build reports and data visualizations that will drive insights into root causes of defects in security processes and help the process evolve through data driven decision making.
Key job responsibilities
Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format
Identify process and system improvement opportunities by monitoring existent metrics, analyzing data and partnering with internal teams
Design and develop automated reporting solutions to enable stakeholders to manage the business and make effective decisions
Supporting cross-functional security teams on the day-to-day execution of the existent program implementation
Work with structured data in a traditional data storage environment

Basic Qualifications
8+ years of professional or military experience
5+ years of SQL experience
Experience with AWS technologies

The base pay for this position ranges from $117,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $202,800/year in our highest geographic market. Additionally, you will be responsible for understanding AWS' operational processes around security and be able to clearly articulate and communicate to various stakeholder audiences in a variety of forms.
You will join a cadre of program management, technical business development, and information security professionals to establish a proactive, results-driven team focused on improving our ability to deliver new capabilities to our customers. As a A&A Security Compliance Specialist on the A&A team, you will spend the majority of your time working with technical business leaders (such as hardware and software engineering leaders, and technical program managers) to develop and produce A&A related documentation to ensure efficient service onboarding.
The role requires working experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF), System Security Plans (SSP), Security Control Traceability Matrices (SCTM), familiarity with the customer environment, and an understanding of existing AWS services. You will draw upon an information security background, critical thinking, and analytic problem solving skills to support A&A activities, recommend improvements as required, and effectively support the delivery of industry leading, secure services to our Federal customers.

Basic Qualifications
2+ years of Assessment and Authorization experience in a related industry (experience owning a program/product/feature, scoping requirements, planning milestones, project management and working with technical teams)
2+ years of familiarity with the processes and documentation required to articulate the appropriate system security products or services with stakeholder government customers to define a project scope, requirements, and deliverables.

At AWS, we are hiring a Communications Security (COMSEC) Custodian/Officer to help manage and continue to develop the COMSEC Program. This will entail managing/dealing with multiple mission partners and COMSEC accounts found around the United States. It will also require continuous engagement with mission partners and vendors as we continue to scale the program to meet customer needs and requirements. Responsibilities will include:
Reviewing proposed new programs requiring COMSEC to ensure the security of the program.
Advising management and mission partners on the current and planned COMSEC postures for all AWS locations.
Maintaining liaison with Government customers and COMSEC vendors to provide advice, guidance, and exchange information with regards to COMSEC standards and policies.
Serve as a COMSEC subject matter experts on Government inter-agency working groups, committees, and task forces.
Maintain 100% accountability of all accountable COMSEC items.
Provide support and oversight over multiple COMSEC accounts and subaccounts across multiple sites.
Develop and update operating procedures based on site, equipment and mission partners.
Develop and update Emergency Action Plans (EAP) based on site, equipment and mission partners.
Conduct semi-annual COMSEC training and EAP training per site for all AWS custodians.
Perform all necessary backups, system upgrades, reconciliations, and inventories of COMSEC material.
Support the semi-annual COMSEC training of all COMSEC custodians.
Support the semi-annual EAP training of all COMSEC custodians.
Maintain all COMSEC account and subaccount file plans as instructed per mission partner.
Use and maintain common fill devices (KIK, SKL, SDS).
Prepare and ship COMSEC material as instructed by mission partner policies as needed
Coordinate with internal and external customers/stakeholders to support information security programs

Experience with various Type 1 Cryptographic devices, keys and loaders

Do you want to help define the future of Go to Market (GTM) at AWS using generative AI? You will be part of the core worldwide GenAI Models team, responsible for helping our customers build and deploy Generative AI (GenAI) models to power end applications and use cases across industry verticals.
