As a member of the CDM Smith team, you would contribute to our mission by:
- Planning, organizing, coordinating, and implementing strategies for marketing and business development efforts across our key service area-clean energy, environment, facilities, and water.
- Developing, writing, editing, and proofreading content for proposals, presentations, resumes, project descriptions, and related marketing materials of a complex nature for our industrial/private-sector clients.
- Applying creativity/strategic insight while leading brainstorming, storyboarding, and other strategy development sessions.
- Utilizing a theme-based approach for the development of proposal and presentation efforts.
- Updating information in the CDM Smith firmwide database of resumes, project descriptions, proposals and qualification packages.
- Coordinating general client marketing efforts, including conferences, development of social media posts, webinars, and other activities
- Being actively involved in the CDM Smith marketing discipline group by participating on task forces and committees, as available.
- Developing business development, marketing, facilitation, and writing skills through internal and external training sources and associations membership and committee involvement.

This position is for a Project Technical Leader based in Florida to assist in the delivery of water treatment facilities of moderate to high complexity throughout the Southeast United States. In this role you will have the following responsibilities:
With high-level goals provided, leads teams to design and deliver water treatment facilities, and related water infrastructure. This may include process modeling through signing and sealing construction drawings as the engineer-of-record.
Reviews draft designs and reports for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and signs off on completed designs.
Ensures that firm policies and practices are followed on all designs. Performs site reviews and studies, as needed, to ensure designs are aligned with location specifications. Updates design requirements as necessary. Performs water quality analyses and modeling.
Contributes to firm's Technical Knowledge Management by developing white papers and technical design documentation of new or special case designs, studies, etc. Submits technical papers and designs for publishing to technical journals.
Collaborates with sales staff to create proposals in response to current and potential client requests for proposal (RFPs).
Reviews draft proposals for adherence to firm, industry, state, local and federal regulations, and best practices.
Proactively meets with current and potential future clients to review their current and future design needs.
Attends conferences, symposia, etc. to improve the visibility of the firm's products and services in collaboration with applicable sales staff.

Scope of human resources management includes construction representatives and construction specialist jobs. Manages and controls all construction management activities, including critical path method (CPM), scheduling and claims administration. Interprets plans and specifications for clients, contractors, and the company's field personnel. Provides internal consultation to construction representatives and acts as a technical resource to other function groups within the division. Develops new opportunities for business through proposal preparation and general contact with current and potential clients. Oversees and coordinates all shop drawing activities. Participates in the administration and operation of the construction services group, as required. Reviews government and funding agency regulations to provide consultative services that reflect an up-to-date knowledge and understanding of legal requirements. Provides expert witness service in claims administration cases. Performs other duties as required.
