About the Role

As a Digital Analyst Professional, you may work with the Agile delivery team and stakeholders to execute digital initiatives enabling business imperatives.

What You Will Do

You'll join a team with diverse project responsibilities and have valuable networking opportunities with all levels of Caterpillar employees. In addition, all individuals hired into a early career role in Cat Digital will participate in L.E.A.D (learn, engage, adapt, develop), which is a 12-month onboarding program. Through this program, you will gain networking opportunities, Caterpillar, Cat Digital and technical acumen. Software engineering roles are primarily in the verticals below:

Digital Product Management - work with internal and external customers by creating, analyzing and validating business requirements, translating them into detailed functional requirements and user stories, and defining acceptance criteria and test cases.

Dealer & Customer Support - help drive deployment and support of Caterpillar's key digital products and maturing data management processes.

Digital Connectivity - help develop, certify and deliver high quality telematics solutions to enhance customer insights.

What You Have - Skills and Experiences

Examples of skills and technologies that previous hires have utilized include:

  • Creating, analyzing, and validating business requirements, translating them into detailed functional requirements and user stories, and defining acceptance criteria and test cases

  • Data mining, data cleansing, and data visualization of information related to the connected asset population and showing progress against our targets for our programs

  • Routinely involved in daily production runs, dashboard creations / edits, and automating processes to increase efficiencies

  • Work with business partners to ensure they have the web behavior they need as well as be able to connect it to many other Caterpillar data set for deeper dives and insights

  • Building and managing a marketing data warehouse and support analysis using advertising/marketing data projects with Google Cloud Platform and Big Query

  • Requirements gathering for application software changes, gathering and analysis of business needs and user voice

Degree Requirements

Currently attending or recently graduated from a 4-year accredited university/college with a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, marketing analytics, digital marketing, computer science, data analytics, data visualization or related program

Wage and Employee benefit details

Base salary for this role ranges from $79,800 - $119,760. Actual salary will be based on degree, completed degree level and priorinternship experience at Caterpillar. The total rewards package, beyond base salary includes:

What You Will Get:

About The Role

The IT Development Program (ITDP) provides program participants with the opportunity to advance their technical and leadership skills through challenging assignments across multiple areas of the business. Each ITDP participant has a unique program experience with the possibility of working on different teams in varied worksites over a three-year period. This allows program participants to diversify their technical skills and build their professional network.

In addition, the ITDP allows participants to learn from Caterpillar technical leaders and experts in a variety of team dynamics. ITDP participants absorb, in just a few years, what often takes a decade for young professionals to experience. At the completion of the three rotations, ITDP participants will be placed into a permanent position that aligns with Caterpillar IT's strategic workforce goals.

About the Role

1-3 year Developmental Program

Training

  • You will start your journey with a 12-week training program in Peoria, Illinois where you will attend various workshops to build Caterpillar knowledge, soft skills, and how to consult with dealers and customers.

Rotations

Cat Digital's Advanced Diagnostics within the Aftermarket Analytics team is looking for a talented and motivated Senior Data Scientist to help solve business challenges using advanced analytical methods. Job Summary:

OEM Solutions Group provides integrated solutions for OEM applications leveraging CatR components and machines. OEM strives to solve customer problems while generating profitable and sustainable growth for Caterpillar and OEMs. OEM Solutions utilizes the CAT dealer channel as well as a direct path to market for OEM Customers. This role will be focused specifically on Material Requirements and will lead a team of Logistics Planning Analysts. This position also maintains agreed-upon inventory levels to provide a flow of materials and components from the supply chain to the manufacturing facility. Additional responsibilities will also include supplier relationship management, surplus, safety stock, and RSSM inventory processes.

Job Summary

The Field Rep Development Program focuses on building the skills and knowledge that are necessary to partner with Caterpillar Dealers to drive strategy alignment and customer loyalty.

1-3 year Developmental Program

  • Customized development plan to understand and learn Caterpillar machines, organizations, and values.

Training

Rotations
