Description
A professional committed to delivering programs on-time, within budget and to specification by improving the effectiveness of project teams through the application of professionally accepted program and project management methods, techniques, tools, and training. Provides expertise in specific areas of program and project management processes to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective implementation of products and services.
Job Duties
his position is the role of a seasoned project management professional. He/she manages projects that have substantial R&D value, are moderate to complex in nature, and are managed with limited supervision. This is a staff position that requires a thorough understanding in program and project management tools & processes. Ability to facilitate programs, leads chartering sessions, develops/validates network diagrams, lead integration and compression sessions. Work assignments may be specialized in nature but may also be broad based with coordination between other staff personnel to complete a larger, more complex program.
Specific work assignments may be as follows: Coordinate with Program Managers to schedule and support program control meetings & compression sessions and can make schedule changes/corrections during control meetings and compression sessions. Maintains and can lead update meetings for program level issues/action logs, risk registers/FMEAs, scope change requests/logs, program work plans, program cost tracking and provide workshop planning, execution, and follow-up assistance.
Create accurate and detailed schedules. The incumbent will capture all information, interpret, and identify relationships between activities, analyzes data from schedule updates, works with project team members to resolve logic errors, explains changes due to updates, and recommends actions to resolve schedule problems.
Lead and conduct detail-planning meetings with no supervision. The incumbent must possess the ability to work with functional areas to develop their detailed activities and schedule. Provides analysis and recommendations needed to increase accuracy of program and project schedules, provides leadership in understanding and following program and project management standard processes, and works daily with team members to emphasize the importance of the program schedule to be successful in implementing on time, with in cost, and at the required quality targets. Provides administrative planning and follow-up for program team, steering committee, and governance review meetings.
The incumbent must be able to interpret and transfer work breakdown structure (WBS) into project management software. The position may work together with consultants in large program planning sessions. Interpret & communicate Voice of Customer (VOC) and Voice of Business (VOB) needs. Mentor/coach and train other Program Coordinators, individual project managers, and project teams in the program management processes and software. May create report packages and communicate or post program or project status, may also include maintenance of a program web site.
Basic Qualifications
This position requires a four-year college or university degree with a technical focus is highly desirable.
In addition, 3-5 years of progressively responsible job-related experience in Program Coordination, Information Technology, Engineering, project management or NPI are typically required.
Should have project management knowledge and experience in driving out detailed, work plans within a PM software included resource forecasts, risks, costs, scope, and other tools.

Excellent interpersonal skills are required including team leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and strong analytical and organizational skills.
Previous Green Belt experience is a plus.

The location for this position is Mossville, IL.
Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Any relocation costs incurred would be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
This position may require up to 25% travel.

At Caterpillar, our internship pay rates are standardized for Digital and Analytics roles and we take into account the number of completed semester credit hours. Compensation and Benefits:
At Caterpillar, our internship pay rates are standardized for Digital and Analytics roles and we take into account the number of completed semester credit hours. For Graduate level opportunities, the pay rate is determined by the type of degree you are pursuing (Master's or Doctorate) post receiving an undergraduate degree.
Intern Pay Range:
Undergraduate: $21.40 - $27.90 per hour
Graduate: $32.24 - $38.48 per hour

Software Engineer - Interns will contribute to design, development and deployment of Caterpillar's state-of-the-art digital platform, work with an agile engineering team to provide computer programming assistance in the development of several software projects. Assist with the troubleshooting and deployment of the software projects.
Data Analytics - Interns will apply analytics techniques on a very large set of diverse data from IoT connected assets, anomaly detection, business analytics, data visualization, and business marketing analytics. The Data Analytics interns contribute to the analytics project teams tasked with solving problems of medium to high complexity working in an analytics approach, related digital technology, or business domain.
Digital Business Analyst - Interns work with internal and external customers by creating, analyzing and validating business requirements, translating them into detailed functional requirements and user stories, and defining acceptance criteria and test cases.

The Integrated Consumer Experience team (ICX) is a newly formed team for Caterpillar and one that is responsible for implementing global Caterpillar-wide approaches to drive loyalty, retention and meaningful interactions throughout the customer journey.

The Role: Customer Experience Data Analyst
Cat Vantage Rewards is Caterpillar's new Loyalty Rewards program. This program is enterprise-wide and works closely with our Caterpillar Dealer network to market, convert and develop awareness to Caterpillar customers. This role will support the customer experience strategy for the enterprise to ensure the brand mission comes to life in the hearts and minds of Caterpillar customers.
This new program unifies our customers' rewards experience and enables them to earn reward points based on spend. Cat Vantage Points can be redeemed for Cat Credits to be used towards future qualifying purchases of Cat parts, service, rentals, and more.
Cat Vantage launched in the US and Canada in 2023, and we will be expanding our NA as well a global Cat Vantage Rewards experiences. We are looking for a Marketing Data specialist that has experience in the following:
Uses data and insight to drive the strategic direction of Cat Vantage Rewards. Gather data and research from marketing technology, Voice of the Customer, Voice of the Dealer and Business to accelerate business growth.
Visualize the data to drive clarity of results and report on trends, areas of opportunity and impact.
Point person to lead training materials and reporting for Customer Service, dealer leadership, dealer network and internal Caterpillar employees to enable those groups to promote and support the loyalty program.
Provide monthly report of drivers and indicators for Caterpillar business units in concert with marketing campaigns.
Support defining the Cat Vantage Rewards program key performance indicators (KPI), and program health reporting standards.
Responsible for program health dashboard reporting, including leveraging data to generate key insights and recommendations which are shared with Cat Vantage Rewards stakeholders and leaders.
Partner with Customer Experience Insights partners to analyze survey results and generate key insights, recommendations, and action plans.
Work closely with Rewards leader and International specialist to develop a view of new or emerging opportunities.
Collaborate with technology partners to ensure that tracking and analytic tools are meeting the needs for reporting.

About the Role / What You Will Do
Parallel Co-Op Engineers work alongside engineering teams to complete design & simulation tasks in support of Caterpillar product development in the following areas:
Product Design: Engineer components & systems for Caterpillar products to meet our customers' needs. Deliver solutions by leading collaboration with cross functional teams throughout our value chain starting from initial concept through to production.
Simulation/Performance Analysis: CFD - Computational Fluid Dynamics (ANSYS), FEA - Finite Element Analysis, 3D modelling, root cause investigation; system/subsystem/component design optimization, structural dynamics, development and optimization of Engine, Aftertreatment, Battery, Fuel Cell, Powertrain, and/or Machine System performance.
Test/Validation/Hands on: Apply strong mechanical engineering understanding in a test/validation (hands-on) environment, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with others for optimal results.
Controls Development: Develop/Implement control system algorithms using Matlab/Simulink for various control systems including but not limited to engine controllers, machine implement controllers as well as powertrain controllers. Will be responsible for understanding the feature requirement, implementing it as well as testing it prior to a production roll out.
Electronic Components: Will be responsible for designing and testing various electronic control modules as well as various electronic components. Will work with various internal Caterpillar clients to understand controller/component requirements, help design Printed Circuit Board layouts as well as perform digital/analog/power circuit analysis and testing. Other duties may include working with suppliers, testing the controllers/components in various environments, ensuring that FMEAs [Failure Mode and Effects Analysis] are conducted and documented to meet stringent Caterpillar quality requirements.
Embedded Software Development: Develop embedded software in C, C# and/or C++ for various electronic control modules. Some examples of embedded software development applications include Datalink communications, Inputs and Outputs [Sensors and actuators], speed calculation, Injection/spark timing, memory management, CPU optimization, multi core design and implementation etc. In addition, some areas of work include developing scripts in Python/Visual Basic for automation.
Software Validation/Verification for Electronic Systems: Verify functionality of a feature or control system algorithm on a HIL [Hardware in the Loop] simulator bench or a SIL [Software in the loop] system. Understand requirements of the feature and/or the schematics of the controller/control system, verify functionality and debug/report anomalies to the development team and help validate fixes.
Engineering Data Analytics: Ability to write and understand computer code; Python; analytics/data science experience; exposure to machine learning concepts/tools; engineering and statistics fundamentals.

As an Inventory Coordinator at Caterpillar Inc., you will work from a variety of source documents to verify part numbers, part locations and quantities.
