Our Caterpillar Remanufacturing Division currently has an opening for an Assembly III position located in the Corinth, MS facility . This position will include engine/component assembly operations with moderate levels of complexity, scope of work and/or variation.
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Work in a fast-paced, safety and quality focused team environment to perform various assembly processes.
Knowledge of and adherence to contamination control guidelines,
Will require print reading skills and quality checks, as defined by standard work.
Will use hand tools, power tools, torque tools, gages, hoists, presses, and other tools as necessary.
Will be required to follow production schedules
Will be required to utilize various computer systems including MES, BIQ, Pinpoint and Epix to reference work instructions, prints and perform data entry
May require utilizing overhead cranes/hoists, and/or electric pallet jack to move parts in and out of area.
Operator will be required to complete Caterpillar Basic Assembly Training.
All operators will adhere to Built in Safety guidelines.
Operator should have attention to detail and be self-motivated.
Candidate will work in an environment without close supervision.
Cross training in other positions within Salary Grade 4 may be required based upon basic qualifications and physical requirements being met. Those position could include: Assembly 1, 2; Cleaning 1, 2, 3, 4; Disassembly 1, 2; Machining 1, 2, 3; Logistics 1, 2; and Quality 1, 2
Basic Qualifications:
Basic computer experience (ability to read standard work documents and enter data)
Required to read/write and interpret documents.
Experience with basic tooling (hand tools, air tools, pneumatic tools, etc)
2 years of manufacturing or assembly experience
Top Candidates will also have:
Experience as an engine mechanic
Engine or engine component assembly experience
Physical Requirements:
Job may be physically demanding at times and must be able to handle high volume fast paced operation.
Must be able to frequently lift and carry boxes weighing up to 25 pounds for intervals of 15-30 minutes.
May walk, squat and bend for intervals of 15-30 minutes
Must be able to wear proper PPE.
May be required to lift/push/pull heavy parts up to 30 lbs. multiple times per shift.
Must be able to stand for up to 10+ hours per shift.

Starting hourly pay rate of $17.95 (pay negotiations based on skills/experience)
This position is 2nd shift with an additional $.60 night shift premium
Work Hours: 3PM - 1AM; Monday - Thursday
Up to $2,000 sign on bonus. Bonus amount will vary based on skills/experience. Incumbent will receive first pay out after 60 days of employment and second payout after 180 days of employment.
The payout of sign on bonus will be based on acceptable performance and attendance
40-hour work weeks with potential for overtime
80 hours of vacation with an additional 24 hours of paid Personal Time Off (PTO)

Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, as the Manufacturing Engineer you will provide manufacturing engineering support for a particular zone of the assembly line ensuring velocity and quality for the zone.
The Building Construction Products (BCP) division at Caterpillar is a global organization responsible for design, manufacture and support of Caterpillar's line of small, versatile construction equipment and, in Athens, GA we manufacture the Mini Hydraulic Excavator (MHEX) and Small Track Type Tractor (STTT) products lines.

Responsible for creation and communication for work instructions.
Create machine routings using SAP

As an Assembler at Anchor Coupling Inc. (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Caterpillar Inc.), you will perform a variety of repetitive processes using varied machines and/or hand tools to complete the assembly and /or sub-assembly of component parts to achieve a finished coupling assembly. May be assigned to various hand assembly, pressing, plating, brazing and or cleaning of component parts. Visually inspect parts as processed. Proceeds on assignments with a minimum supervision and/or direction.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Identify tooling and equipment necessary to perform assigned operation
Follow start up and shut down procedures on all equipment, monitor and adjust equipment as necessary and record same
Using a variety of different ways or means, move materials as required
Perform various assembly or sub-assembly processes including but not limited to ringing, naming, and hand assembly.
Maintain records relating to production, downtime, quality, maintenance, etc.
Ensure that all quality standards are met by visually inspecting work and/or with measuring devices
Recognize operating irregularities and machine malfunctions and make corrections or notify the proper person to correct
Perform rework as necessary
Perform machine set-up as required

Schedule and attend routine meetings with marine dealers to maintain sales funnel and opportunity/order tracking in Salesforce to support monthly product demand forecasts, financial forecasts, annual business plan tracking, and long-term forecasts.
Collaborate with the commercial marine territory sales managers and the Caterpillar Marine Naval Design & Application team to coordinate appropriate support for dealer sales and service opportunities.
