Digital Integration Managers act as the main partner between Digital Delivery and Cengage Academic technology teams. You will be accountable for communicating technology release plans, contributing to projects that support the tactical execution or implementation of technology solutions, and establishing scalable digital delivery workflows when new features, functionality, or platforms are developed.
What you'll do here:
Understand and effectively communicate business and technology strategy : Evaluate information from technology partners related to both the long-term technology strategy and short-term timing, status, scope, and dependencies of planned releases. Successfully communicate the context and rationale behind technology decisions and the related impact on Digital Project Manager workflows, resources, and test plans. Anticipate, adopt, and champion innovations in digital and technology applications.
Influence and inform technology solutions : Find opportunities to improve the scalability, efficiency, and quality of workflows, processes, and tools. Assess and recommend potential technical solutions and impact technology roadmap prioritization efforts. Represent Digital Project Manager needs related to go-forward technologies to technology team members by effectively frame and presenting challenges, providing consulting on how new technologies can be integrated, and defining the requirements for digital tools. Proactively seek opportunities for those closest to the work to directly represent workflows and needs and inform decisions.
Develop and support the execution of scalable workflows : Facilitate end-to-end workflow design, collaborating closely with those directly impacted to ensure accuracy and comprehensiveness. Provide representative content, actively learn through experimentation, and test tools during proof of concept or pilot phases. Partner with other leaders to define, leverage, and implement standard processes. Effectively instruct others to use and optimize emerging technologies, including crafting step-by-step user documentation and conducting trainings. Mentor Digital Project Managers on new tools, applications, and platforms by solving issues, proactively connecting team members with appropriate technical partners, and providing support to ensure a shared understanding of information across varying levels of technical skill.
Skills you will need here:
5+ years of relevant work experience, with 3+ focused on technical skills
The capability to thrive in an innovative environment, amid rapid change and ambiguity
Deep technical competence and ability to adapt to new and emerging technologies
Familiarity with markup languages and the ability to understand XML schemas
A proven ability to effectively solve problems and make sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information
Experience defining and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences, including technical and non-technical audiences

Summary:
As a member of the CLDC Digital Print Center team, the primary duties of the Binder are to safely and accurately trim, bind and pack-out printed products as requested by Cengage Learning customers.
Position Description:
The Binder will trim and bind text pages and covers for college textbooks on multiple media types and in multiple trim sizes. They will complete the binding process as outlined in the print and bind instructions. As well as communicating issues, logging, and reporting machine performance. They will train other employees in the use of trimming and binding equipment as necessary.
Requires the Binder to work independently and willing to learn all machinery within the Digital Print Center. As all positions in the distribution facility, this position will flex to other departments as necessary or decided by business needs.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Operate machinery to assemble, trim, bind and package products as specified by customers without deviation.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical and mechanical issues as they arise.
Interface with scheduler to communicate any changes in productivity, commitments to customers and other variations to the production plan.
Maintain a clean working environment protecting machinery.
Adjust equipment as necessary to ensure machinery runs efficiently.
Comfortable with computer entry.
Perform consistent counting of product and pallets utilizing addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Accurately follow all pallet-layer configurations, and ensure pallets are safely/accurately stacked to full capacity.
Must be able to flex between the digital print center and other departments as business needs instruct.
Must be able to work independently.
Adhere to all safety practices and policies.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
At least 18 years of age.
Strong organizational skills are required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
Have normal color vision.
Must be able to stand/walk for 8-10 hours.
Be able to lift 50 lbs. Be able to push/pull 1,100 lb. rolls of paper on a cart.

Summary:
As a member of the Inventory Control department, the primary objective for this position is to ensure the quality of orders going out to our customers. This position is responsible for assisting the Inventory Control Department in the following areas: Perform quality checks on all orders that divert to the QC area, T-Box, help Resolution with shorts and inventory checks as needed, monitor and count inventory and help with inventory moves and destroys.

Proactively provides guidance to Product Management and Content Development teams regarding content and acquisition activities
Using extensive research and analysis to locate third-party content when applicable and cost-effective items if available
Identify free and low-cost opportunities for licensing
Exhibits the personality, drive, and abilities to steer authors, content managers, and product teams towards enriching content selection choices during the content creation process
Develops in-depth knowledge of team product lines and are subject matter authorities on team content, maintains relationships with internal and external teams and authors, and frequently used rights holders within product line
Keep up to date on current Copyright Law and industry changes such as key developments and/or trends in field, potential sources and topics, and marketing opportunities
Plans, analyzes, and implements project workflows based on content and complexity; Crafts overall licensing plan and strategy for product list
Ability to identify workflow issues, source issues/concerns, or team member issues that can potentially jeopardize project schedules, prior to and during the development phase of projects.
Uses strategy and critical thinking, resolves issues of various nature while ensuring all project goals and legal compliance are met

As part of the Gale Primary Sources Production team, the Associate Programmer is responsible for data operations and uses entry level computer programming skills to support the production and delivery of digital content.
Essential functions and responsibilities for this role include:
Learns, uses, and maintains custom applications to process incoming/outgoing data
Ensures timely delivery and QA of incoming content-troubleshoots and resolves errors
Supports team data processing needs
Manages drive inventory, content duplication, and data archiving
Prepares reports, queries, and communicates feedback to team; regularly updates Content Managers
Participates in on-the-job training for design, writing, and testing of internal production systems.
Supports Senior Programmer with updates and maintenance of production systems; collaborates to plan and implement program development

As part of a high-performance team, the Senior Content Developer is responsible for in-house and out-of-house development of both print and digital products to clarify, strengthen, and improve their quality. This position will also lead sophisticated projects or a large slate of products to ensure timely delivery and cost efficiency.
What You'll Do Here:
Maximizing Product Potential - Project Content and Packaging
In conjunction with the product development team, participates, and upon request, leads in refining the product premise and determining the scope and nature of development work.
Consults with team members and shared services/vendors on market research to identify key customers and areas of focus.
Assists consultants and team members with learning design and development to align with standards and market needs.
Helps to identify potential areas for cost control, communicates information to the team, and keeps expenditures within budget.
Recommends changes in organization of material to improve transparency and focus.
Through detailed evaluation of media content, and in close partnership with consultants/authors and other content developers, strives to achieve content that is accurate, factual, clear, complete, current, diverse, legal and consistent, and standards-based.
Recommends innovative and effective pedagogical features and content based on market research and feedback.
Researches, writes, edits, and reviews content per program guidelines.
Proofreads and copy edits materials for style, grammar, spelling, clarity, and age appropriateness.
Reviews and comments on the work to ensure the quality of work, schedules, and budgets are appropriately maintained.
Assists in training writers and junior editors to accomplish content and market goals.
Analyzes competing products. Interprets and shares the market information with internal business partners, and revises product plans to address perceived differentiators.
Assists digital developers in designing user interface and logical program flow, and works to improve digital skills.
As requested, stays ahead of market changes by attending professional meetings and seminars, working with sales representatives, reading professional journals, and participating in professional development opportunities.
Optimizing Product Potential - Project Marketability
Provides information for, and participates in, presentation at academic conferences and sales conferences, as requested.
Assists in reviewing contending products for use in product development.
Responds to customer feedback and inquiries as appropriate.
Manages freelance content writers and other professionals as determined by project needs.
Helps to build prototypes and style guides to assist in the creation of quality products and programs.
Monitors and evaluates performance of new and existing contractors and vendors on an ongoing basis.
Communicates the requirements of each project. Guides contractors and vendors on handling non-routine aspects of projects. Troubleshoots. Devises strategies to maintain schedules.
Project Scheduling and Production-Related Duties
Upon request, takes the lead in planning innovative publishing paths to facilitate fast cycle time and cost efficiency.
With Production develops content submission schedules.
Participates as requested in market research related activities.
Skills You Will Need Here:

As a member of National Geographic Learning, the K-12 division of Cengage Group, the primary objectives for the CSC position are to support K-12 customers by communicating and training on K-12 solutions and digital platforms as needed
Duties & Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Customer Success Manager, the candidate will be required to present and train both virtually and in-person.
Ownership of K-12 understanding and training on digital platforms and program knowledge.
Direct responsibilities will also include preparing for and successfully delivering sales presentations and trainings on NGL print and digital solutions.
This is a temporary position, the CSC is paid for engagements that are accepted
There are peak months where demand is higher in the August-September timeframe.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
Bachelor's degree desired
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications: Power Point and Outlook

As a member of National Geographic Learning, the K-12 division of Cengage Group, the primary objectives for the CSC position are to support K-12 customers by communicating and training on K-12 solutions and digital platforms as needed
Duties & Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Customer Success Manager, the candidate will be required to present and train both virtually and in-person.
Ownership of K-12 understanding and training on digital platforms and program knowledge.
Direct responsibilities will also include preparing for and successfully delivering sales presentations and trainings on NGL print and digital solutions.
This is a temporary position, the CSC is paid for engagements that are accepted
There are peak months where demand is higher in the August-September timeframe.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
Bachelor's degree desired
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications: Power Point and Outlook
Experience as a K12 educator and/or at an education technology company
A successful track record of working with K-12 institutions, both teachers and administrators
Must demonstrate proficiency in technology and presenting, both virtually and in-person.
Preferred
Ability to be flexible and customize presentations and trainings based on customers' needs
Must have attention to detail, a commitment to quality and be results driven and customer focused
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; dynamic training style
