Education Qualifications:

  • You will be responsible for providing direct care to patients and serving the needs of patients in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort, under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, Nurse Manager, Assistant Head Nurse, and/or Department Director to contribute to meeting the mission and goals of Essentia Health.

  • Duties will include but are not limited to: CPR, wound care including irrigation and dressing, splinting and immobilization of bone injuries, suctioning of patients, performing EKG's, POC testing, obtaining non-invasive specimen swabs such as throat cultures, crutch fitting, ambulation education, suture removal, transporting of patients between departments, providing personal hygiene care, assisting with nutritional needs, providing comfort care and other assistance, appropriately and safely transferring patients, taking vital signs and completing record keeping, recognizing and promptly reporting changes in patient condition to the RN, and maintaining a safe, clean environment for patients to promote the healing process.

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

  • Completion of EMT or, NAR or, LPN or, Medical Assistant program or BSN student who has completed at least 3 years of schooling, or must be licensed in respective area (EMT, NAR, LPN, CMA) upon initial hire. - Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification (new hires must obtain within 1 month of hire)- LPN licensure in state of MN ( only required if an LPN)- Nursing Assistant hired into role will need to complete ER Tech residency or EMT program within 6 months of start date.

  • Completes de-escalation training within 5 months of hire if no previous de-escalation training or has not had a de-escalation training/refresher within past 3 calendar years.

  • Join two pulmonary physicians and one PA in an established pulmonary practice

  • Pulmonary out-patient clinic and pulmonary in-patient consultation

  • Expanded PFT lab

  • Collegial group of physicians with dedicated, supportive staff.

  • Call is 1:3 with some flexibility. Call hours during the week are 7am-5pm.

  • Makes appropriate decisions to involve others in the care of the patient, and effectively engages their involvement through case conferences, consultation and/or referrals.

  • Able to understand and incorporate psychiatric and psychological assessments and recommendations into the treatment plan of the patient.

  • Delivers individual, group or family therapy for primarily outpatient clients as prescribed by the treatment plan, continuously evaluating progress and revising the plan when indicated.

  • Recognizes when maximum benefits have been attained from treatment and enlists the patient in planning for discharge.

  • Ensures that treatment planning and discharge planning reflects the standards and boundaries of regulatory agencies and third-party payers, including timely completion of prior authorizations.
