PRACTICE SPECIFICS

• Providing psychiatry services, via 100% Telehealth, in ambulatory clinic setting through integrated team based behavioral health/mental health care delivery model.

• Adult Mental Health Partial Hospitalization/Intensive Outpatient Programs.

• Practice includes psychiatric evaluation, treatment, outpatient assessment and follow-up clinic

• Opportunity to meet high productivity goals if desired

• Up to 1.0 FTE, (will consider part-time)

• Patient Contact hours: 35

• Monday-Friday daytime hours

• Daytime call only

• Nurses triage all calls that come into the departments

About our Behavioral Health Team:

• Join a group of 8 adult (soon to be 9) and 4 child and adolescent psychiatrists as part of a Behavioral Health Care Team. Other members of the team include; doctoral level psychologists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, psychotherapists, RN's and clinical assistants. The Behavioral Health Division provides a spectrum of care for children and adults, including inpatient psychiatric care, consult-liaison and emergency psychiatry, ECT procedures, intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization services, and an outpatient behavioral health clinic. The Division also includes Health Psychology doctorate and master's level psychologists.

• Inpatient programs include an integrated team of a Hospitalist and Pharmacist

• Overnight and weekend call is shared by the physician pool.

• Adult in-patient unit has 38 beds; Child/Adolescent inpatient unit has 16 beds;

• BC/BE Psychiatry

• Ability to be privileged and credentialed in ECT preferred.

• This is a 100% remote position.

• This is a fantastic opportunity to join our rapidly growing Integrative Health department.

• Our ideal candidate must have expertise and experience in Integrative Health, essentially practicing root-cause functional medicine.

• This position is a -from home-, with the worksite designated as Duluth Clinic First Street Integrative Health Department.

• Within the Integrative Health Department; we aim to provide high quality, cost effective service, creating access to high demand, holistic care, utilizing a team approach.

• Must be an energetic, collaborative individual with exceptional communication skills, who is also able to work well independently. This candidate should be a natural leader who is adaptable as we integrate new approaches to care.

• Our model strives to provide high-quality, efficient service that includes MD/DOs, APCs, licensed acupuncturists, registered dietician/Certified Nutrition Specialist and other professionals. We promote a culture of patient centeredness, social equity and staff resilience.

• Shift details: Between 8:00AM - 5PM, M-F at a mutually agreed upon schedule to fulfill 0.6 - 1.0 FTE

• Limited, call schedule by phone only after hours

REQUIREMENTS

• BC/BE Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Ob/Gyn, or Med-Peds

• One year of practice as an integrative clinician plus at least one of the following: 1. Completion of a fellowship in Integrative Medicine 2. Certified by the American Board of Integrative Medicine 3. Diplomate of the former American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine 4. Certified Institute for Functional Medicine Practitioner 5. Other experience as determined appropriate by section chair

Required Qualifications

Graduate of an Allied Health Education and Accreditation (AMA) Radiography Program with the ability to be ARRT certified within 90 days of hire/transfer OR ARRT certification upon hire/transfer.

EH Duluth, SMHS and St. Mary's Medical Center: Graduate of an Allied Health Education and Accreditation (AMA) Radiography Program with the ability to be ARRT certified within 90 days of hire/transfer .

Upon earning ARRT certification must maintain certification.

Primary role is to provide a friendly, welcoming and caring greeting to each person entering Essentia Health. Responsible for screening patients for COVID-19, which entails, temperature taking, asking screening questions, and handing out masks to patients in need, while logging use of inventory in database in addition to securing inventory for next shift. The position provides patient information and secures wheelchairs and interfaces with volunteers who assist with hospitality and escorting. The position gives information and/or has knowledge of the Essentia campus and additional resources regarding the main campus. The position may provide information on basic community resources, including lodging, bus service and taxi service. Work Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in an Information/Hospitality Desk or customer service environment.
