Protects and safeguards patients, staff, other persons, assets and facilities within Essentia Health. Responsibilities include patrolling the healthcare environment to deter criminal activity, identify hazards, prevent incidents and safety accidents, detect and detain perpetrators and mitigate losses from the impact of incidents. Responding to emergencies, alarms, disasters, and threatening situations with violent, dangerous or combative persons are also primary job responsibilities. Will enforce medical campus rules and takes action to maintain order and prevent disruption or interference with medical center operations.

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

Completion of the Basic Training for Healthcare Security Officers from the International Association of Healthcare Safety and Security within 1 year of hire and renewal is not required

Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 3 months of hire

Completes de-escalation training within 5 months of hire if no previous de-escalation training or has not had a de-escalation training/refresher within past 3 calendar years

The Pharmacist Site Lead performs site lead activities consistent with the expectations of Essentia Health. Participates in and oversees the preparation and dispensing of prescriptions to provide comprehensive pharmacy services. Responsible for performing all duties associated with interpretation, order verification, dispensing and monitoring of medications ordered by prescribers; the evaluation and dissemination of comprehensive information about medications and their use, to patients, families, and medical staff; and providing quality pharmaceutical care to make a healthy difference in people's lives. Key Responsibilities:-Supports Pharmacy workflow development and optimization-Communicates with Inter and intradepartmental pharmacy -Reviews, develops, and implements quality improvement tasks-Attends Hospital and Pharmacy meetings as assigned-Job duties may also include daily medication monitoring, distribution and acquisition duties as required by the pharmacy department, medication reconciliation, anticoagulation dosing and monitoring, pharmacokinetic monitoring, renal dose adjustments, and provide medication related consultative service to staff within Essentia Health. Assists in all aspects of the daily departmental activities, including training of new staff and precepting pharmacy students, interns and residents, billing, record keeping, monthly audits, and other duties as assigned by the department leader.

Education Qualifications:

Graduate of a college of pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (BS or PharmD degree required) ASHP-Accredited Hospital Residency, or three or more years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by the Board of Pharmacy of the state in which they will be working (Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota).

Pharmacists in the SMPHM Union, are required to be licensed in both Minnesota and Wisconsin, regardless of their primary worksite.
