Dal-Tile is currently seeking an eager and motivated entry level material handler to join our TEAM!

As an entry level material handler, we need someone that is experienced with basic day to day warehouse functions and capable of lifting up to 75lbs.

Pay Range:

  • Entry: $16.50

  • 3-Month Increase: $17.50

Shift:

  • Overnight

  • Sunday- Thursday

  • 9:00PM-5:30AM

Equipment Knowledge Required:

  • Sit-Down Forklift

  • Stand-Up/Reach Forklift

Responsibilities:

  • Performs a variety of warehouse duties such as pull/assemble customer orders, check outbound orders for accuracy/completeness, inventory stock checks, restock and label vendor product, maintain displays (tools, caulk, etc.), move, store, and replenish material, and conduct daily cycle counts.

  • Performs receiving duties such as receive and unload inbound material, process inbound shipments, stock material, process customer returns and notify management of damaged shipments for freight claims.

  • Operates forklift and order picker equipment.

  • Maintains clean and organized facility by sweeping, trash removal, restroom and general office maintenance, etc.

  • Maintains a safe working environment by obeying all safety rules as outlined in the Safety Program and by reporting all accidents, unsafe conditions and acts to Management.

  • Performs other related duties as required.

General Requirements

  • Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor

  • Follows standard operating and safety procedures

  • Keeps area safe, clean, and organized

  • Performs other related duties as required

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Primary Objective:

Operates powered industrial trucks to receive, stock, pick, and ship product at a Plant Distribution Center location.

May be required to manually pack, check and prepare small packages (SPC) orders for shipping.

Pay Range:

  • $16.50-$17.50

Shift: Various Shifts Available

Equipment Knowledge:

  • Sit-Down Forklift

Responsibilities:

Picking

  • Operate powered industrial truck(s) to assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets.

  • Keys order into Warehouse Management System (WMS)

  • Verifies stock availability and audits orders for accuracy

  • Conveys picked orders to packing station or shipping areas

Receiving

  • Operates various powered industrial trucks to receive product into warehouse and prepare for stocking

  • Opens crates and inspects product

  • Applies labels to product according to establishing procedures

  • Verifies shading of product and places into accurate warehouse location

Putaway

  • Utilizes powered industrial equipment to move product into pre-designated areas within warehouse once received

  • Keys location of product into inventory control system and places product onto shelves

  • Ensures product is placed into accurate location

SPC Check/Pack Checking

  • Wraps and packs products by hand into boxes for shipping

  • Labels boxes with packing slip

  • Loads boxes into conveyor belt

  • Verifies orders for accuracy

General Requirements

Primary Objective

Requisition materials as needed for Plant Operations

Analyze and review data for purchasing savings

Review and update open PO report.

Manages workflow for prompt payment of invoices

Coordinate with Management to create foreign and domestic quotes for material.

Assists Purchasing Management in communicating with suppliers regarding material and quantity requirement revisions, rate adjustments and incorrect materials.

Follows standard operating and safety procedures.

Keeps manager informed of any problem areas.

Experience and Knowledge Required

Requires a minimum of a High School Diploma. Ability to read and write English. Knowledge of quality standards preferred. Knowledge and use of basic SAP transactions required.

Recruiting Profile

Dal-Tile is currently seeking a Plant Supervisor II to join our TEAM! As the Plant Supervisor we need someone who can provide excellent leadership functions coaching, training, mentoring, conflict resolution and disciplining team members within multiple departments in the plant.

Primary Objective

Serve as the primary resource and leader for safe and quality driven production. Fosters an environment of teamwork that results in achieving our key performance indicators and delivers a product that exceeds customer expectations.

Major Function and Scope

Responsible for promoting a safe culture and awareness within their area of responsibility. Support and enforce all plant safety policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner.

Responsible for all initial training of new hires and continuous training of the safety and ISO quality management systems.

Directly supervise hourly Team Members to achieve expected levels of safety, quality and productivity.

Perform all leadership functions relating to the coaching, training, mentoring, conflict resolution and disciplining of team members within multiple departments in the plant.

Actively participate in the selection process of hiring new talent into the organization and performing subsequent evaluations.

Incorporate, identify, and take action on process improvements through Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma methodologies.

Audit production processes to ensure both safety and quality standards are achieved.

Foster and maintain good employee relations through all the appropriate methods of communications and positive employee relations practices.

Other duties as required.

Experience and Knowledge Required

Associate degree in Business Administration/Management, Engineering or related field required. Equivalent years of experience, minimum of 2 years in addition to work experience, required in leu of degree.

Bachelor's degree in management or engineering related field preferred.

Knowledge of OSHA compliance and safety policy/procedures preferred. Ability to read/write English.

Knowledge of ceramic manufacturing and quality standards preferred. 4 years previous manufacturing/production experience preferred.

A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience within multiple departments in a manufacturing environment.

Competencies

Core competencies include strong communication skills, organizational and problem-solving skills, conflict resolution skills, and ability to analyze, plan, and schedule resources. Basic computer skills in the use of email, and Microsoft Office Programs. Spanish speaking is a plus.

- Receive and sign bill of lading documents of material shipments of raw materials including quartz, chemicals and consumable items utilized in the manufacturing process.

Primary Objective

Develops and implements plant environmental, safety, and health programs.

Major Function and Scope

Coordinates, organizes and conducts training programs for safety, including forklift certification. Conducts new employee orientation about company goals and requirements.

Coordinates Reports of all EHS, Training and BBS Observations within plant.

Coordinates files of all job injuries and lost workdays.

Schedules and conducts training on forklift, BBS, equipment operations, safety operations, and maintains related training records.

Responsible for administering and assist coordinate functions and duties of the BBS Team.

Conducts hazard and safety assessments and maintains applicable records.

Notifies Plant Manager, EHS Manager and HR Manager on all aspects of facility safety, environmental and health issues.

Evaluates workstations and tasks for ergonomic risk factors. Helps EHS Manager in reducing risk factors within plant. Provides information and assistance to area employees and managers to address risk factors. Helps maintain documentation of risk reduction activities and results.

Evaluates and audits the site ergonomics program, monitors and addresses

Provides technical assistance in the rollout and support of site ergonomics programs.

Assists in the evaluation of the site's ergonomics goals, policies and programs, and recommends modifications, at least annually.

Promotes and adheres to all safety and health policies and procedures within the plant.

Complete all required training, including ergonomic, safety, health and environmental.

Identify and adjust workstation arrangement, work practices, and workflow to reduce risk factors

Report issues to supervisor/manager when unable to control risk factor/s.

Investigate and alert EHS Manager of symptoms of injury/illness and concerns when first noted.

Participate in incident investigation.

Use ergonomic equipment provided.

Demonstrate safe work practices.

Performs other related duties as required.

Responsible to assist in presenting OH&S System.

Experience and Knowledge Required

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred.

10 hrs. OSHA compliance training or equivalent. Knowledge and continual education of workers compensation compliance requirements and OSHA regulations and compliance procedures.

At least 2 years of experience in health and safety. 1 plus years training in OSHA standards. Training development and presentation experience.
